Quick read for long term success.
I am always jealous of those people who can give great lessons with few words. Essential reading for those advertising account managers who need to have their hard to define business boiled down to the important essentials. Anyone who is in sales or marketing could learn much about the care and feeding of clients as well. The book has many lessons to the broader market of sales and marketing professionals beyond the advertising audience for which it was designed.

Not Just for Account People!
This book is a wonderful resource that gets right to the point and provides important information. I wish that every business coaching book was this enjoyable to read -- I read it in one sitting!  Although this book is written for the "Account Person," I think that it applies to anyone who has client contact, runs a meeting, or makes presentations.  I am a "Media Person," and I picked up some great pointers on relationship-building.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who works at an agency.

Learn to be a great account executive in less than an hour.
After fifteen years as an executive in the advertising business, I'm still stymied every time I try to explain what it takes to be a great account executive. Thankfully, Robert Solomon has done it for me. This book does a terrific job of boiling down a very complicated and multi-faceted job into a few short chapters. In less than an hour, you'll learn everything you need to know to become an effective account manager. From developing strong strategies to building lasting relationships with clients to conducting yourself properly in meetings, this book has it all. Definitely required reading for anyone interested in entering (or staying) in the advertising business.
