I think this book is one of the best books I have read. It's about Heather going to the attic and finding herself as a guest star in Sleeping Beauty. She sprains her ankle,so she can't dance.In the end,she learns a lesson. I do ballet myself,but I'm not on toe yet.

Heather's Aunt is the star in the Sleeping Beauty, and sends enough tickets for her family. Heather promises her friends tickets for the ballet. But oh no! The tickets are all sold out. Heather sets aside that problem. She puts on pink tights,a tutu, and point shoes- you guessed it! A ballerina. She walks through the mirror and finds herself the star of Sleeping Beauty. During rehersal, she slips on a jete and sprains her ankle! She telling her friend, Jillian huge lies. She's in a tough situation, but being Heather manages confessing.

This book is about Cameron Whitney, an 11-year-old boy who plays flute. His parents force him to go to an outdoor summer program at Camp Rainbow Lake instead of a music camp he wanted to go to. When getting there he finds out they are going to play a war game where you try to find trash out in the woods and keep it without another team finding you and taking your "spoils". Cam teams up with Jason, a smart guy who likes sports, and "Whaler", whose real name is Jonah and people call him whaler because of his size. One night Cam decides to sneak out and practice his flute in secret, but Buddy, a mean boy who always is really mean, swipes his flute while he isn't looking. Buddy makes Cam a deal: If Cam spies on his own team for Buddy, Buddy will keep his flute safe. Cam takes the deal. Shortly after this Jason decides to make Cam pretend to be on Buddy's side and spy for his team. With Cam being a double agent and Jason taking the game to a new level, the stakes get even higher in The Buddy Trap.

I would give The Buddy Trap five stars. Each chapter adds more danger, complication, and dishonesty to the game of stealing and betrayal.

I've read this book six times and I'm still not tired of it!

Heather was invited to Tiffney's birthday party but Keisha, Megan, and Allison weren't. They say the only reason Tiffney's inviting Heather is because Heather's Mom is a reporter. When Heather gets upset, she goes to her neighbor Ellie's house because she has a magic attic. Heather tries on a beautiful pink ball gown and is transported to England. There she meets Lisbeth, a servant at the taylor shop, and Heather invites her to go to the ball. When they get there, Lisbeth is accused of stealing a necklace. Will Heather stick up for her friend?

This book set is just awesome. The Magic Attic Club Books are great for any 9-12 year old that loves adventures starring girls their age. Alison, Heather, Keisha, and Megan a four friends that blong to a club. Their club meets at a neighbor's attic, in which there is a magical mirror and a trunk of costumes. The girl try the costumes on and pose in fromt of the mirror. Then they are transformed to another place and time. Share their adventures when you dive into these wonderful books!

My daughter (6) found this to be a fairly easy to understand book (I did most of the reading). Although published for slightly older readers, my daughter understood the concepts (and she has all the Magic Attic dolls, so she acted out some of the scenes). Anyway, the book stimulated her imagination, it was a well-done introduction to the four girls and Ellie.

this book is awsome it is fun and has a good adventure in the story if you haven't read this yet, i asume you should get to read it.it is so good

This book was a very good way to reaveal the girls feelings. For example I read the book to find I knew exactly how they felt being transferd through the mirror,falling through the lake during an ice-skating party or just being different. I would reccomend this book to all eight year olds and older.

I was thrilled to read this book to my daughter. Using a magic mirror fanatsy, it tells the story of a young Jewish girl as they were expelling the Jews from Spain, Thereby telling "Heather" the story of her ancestors. As a woman of Sephardic Jewish Heritage, this story was a pleasant surprise. It tells an story not only of Jewish history, but of the strength of a young girl. A great way for girls to see what they can be, either through fantasy or reality.

"Viva, Heather" is a book that entertains while it educates about the Jewish faith. The reader is quickly drawn in by Heather's realistic feelings about her family and her faith. At the beginning of the book, Heather is embarrased by the visible signs of her faith as her family celebrates the Passover. All she can think about is the matzoh (unleavened bread/cracker) her peanut butter and jelly sandwich will be on for her school lunch. Heather is then morified when her grandmother invites her friends to the seder, and hopes that they won't accept. How will they understand the long stories and strange food?

Through the magic of the mirror, Heather dons a gypsy outfit and is transported to the Alhambra castle in Spain. She quickly finds herself on the run and hiding her Jewish faith. She, and other Jewish people, must escape Spain or face death because King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella want Spain to be unified in one Catholic faith. Faced with such an intense experience where she had to deny her faith while hanging onto it, Heather learns that there are plenty of reasons to be proud of who she is and where her family has come from. Sharing the seder with her friends becomes something more meaningful to her.

"Viva, Heather!" is my favorite book in the Magic Attic Club series because it tells the story of early persecution of the Jewish people in Spain at the beginning of the Inquisition. Based on information from a person who has interviewed the author, it is also the author's favorite book in the series because it is a part of her own family history. She has made this book something that children can relate to by adding the identifiable character of Christopher Columbus, which will anchor children to the place and time period. The author's expression of Judiasm and Heather's experience of it is something that children will also be able to identify with and find a positive feeling about. By the end of the story, Heather understands herself and her family traditions a lot better, and she gives the reader something valuable to ponder.

and I don't mean the story. Yes, I did find the plot quite pleasing actually and very well written for the level it's at. My one complaint however was that the situation was enitrely unbelievable, from first hand experience I know it takes years and years... did I say years? of pracice to become a professional highwire artist. in this book it took maybe...well certainly not close to the amout of time it takes in real life.

Alison finds a high wire costume and becomes a performer in the circus. The story's pretty good, but the plot kind of ruined the story.

the story did not really have a ending because i dont know what happened to Drew Kate and Bo if they got in trouble orif kate went to her inboundery school
