Vital reading
A relatively few number of people understand the monumental importance of the Anglo-Saxon race, both in God's Eyes and in bringing civilization and blessings to the world's other races. Some Anglo-Saxons have abused this blessing/honor, and some have tried to be worthy of this important calling. Mr Singular is one of the few writers to honestly evaluate the situation, to write bias-free of the Anglo-Saxons who simply try to be what they are. You will find few, if any, more accurate and factual reviews of what's going on in the world.

Anyone You Want Me to Be: A True Story of Sex and Death on the Internet

As always, a thoroughly engrossing read
I have come to expect fine writing from John Douglas and his latest offering is no exception. His ability to tell a good story while educating the reader is second to none and sets Mr. Douglas apart from other authors in the true crime genre. There is a sincerity to his efforts that is refreshing and makes each case study come alive. You almost feel as though he is sitting with you, telling what really happened. His sympathy and care for the victims and their families is apparent throughout, as well. Stellar job, Mr. Douglas. Bravo.

A MUST READ FOR TRUE-CRIME LOVERS
I have been a huge fan of John Douglas' career and books. In this latest book he focuses his attention and uses his professional profiling expereince to analyze one case. In Anyone You Want Me To Be, the reader doesn't just get the facts of the case but it is told from an entirely different perspective, that of a profiler. From the title of the book one may think the character is fictious, but this story is very true. Mr. Douglas takes us into the mind of John Robinson and explains how one man used the Internet to manipulate and control women for his own personal gain. He also tells us how we can protect ourselves from predators on the Internet. A true page turner.

The Mindhunter Does It Again!
After being an avid fan of serial killer books for quite some time, I'd begun to think that I'd read everything that was ever written on the subject. However, soon after I picked up John Douglas' new non-fiction book, "Anyone You Want Me To Be," I quickly realized there was an entire world of crime I had yet to discover.
While I had previously heard of John Robinson, I knew very little about the details of his background and killing spree. In today's world, where the Internet is such an integral part of everyday life, it is frightening to know there are predators like John Robinson out there, preying on innocent trustworthy people.
Mr.Douglas, who created the FBI's profiling unit, effectively allows the reader to enter a place many authors have previously left untouched, a killer's mind. Tracing John Robinson's background from his childhood to his days as a killer, Douglas allows us to see Robinson as more than just a psychotic maniac.
For those who enjoyed Mr. Douglas' previous works, this haunting, bone chilling masterpiece is an absolute must read.

A Primary Investigation Derailed
In the 1980s the Denver journalist Stephen Singular investigated the assassination of a talk show host by Nazi sympathizers. His book became the basis for the movie "Talk Radio".

In August he received a phone call from an unnamed source in Los Angeles, who advised him to investigate the case against OJ Simpson: "the Nazis are inside the system"; "all the blood evidence is suspect". Given these clues, he began his search. He called at Johnnie Cochran's law firm to meet a lawyer. He was viewed suspiciously: "how do we know you're not a nut case, or a plant by the DA to waste our time?" he was asked. His credentials as a journalist answered the first question. His advice checked out: "the blood sample will contain EDTA, but it must be carefully tested to avoid destroying it".

As an independent journalist, he prepared a confidential synopsis of his proposed book to interest a publisher. The publisher turned over a copy to the LAPD, which prevented him from continuing his work. This book tells the story of his research.

The Final Verdict
For OJ to be guilty, you must believe that he quickly disposed of the bloody clothes, shoes, and knives so they would NEVER be found, yet brought the socks and glove back to his home! And then smeared blood all over the console!

The coroner who did the autopsies testified "the forensic evidence says the murders occurred after 11PM". The limousine driver testified he brought OJ to the airport at that time. When you read this book, note how they avoid discussing these facts.

The First Break into the Investigation
This was one of the first books published about the crime. When the synopsis was turned over to the LAPD his cover was blown and he could not continue his investigation. His source was well informed, the results from the trial showed this.

The following may provide a short review of the case.

The testimony of the two witnesses who cannot lie says that O.J. Simpson is not guilty of the murders. The autopsy of Nicole Brown found blood and flesh under her fingernails; the blood type did not match O.J. Simpson (or Ron Goldman or Nicole Brown). Ron Goldman worked out and practiced karate a couple of times a week, he played tennis, and walked to work. At 25 he was in prime physical shape; his hands showed bruises from punching someone in the face and head more than once. O.J. Simpson had no scratches or bruises on his face or hands or body after the murders; he could not have been a lone murderer.

The newspapers reported that when the victims were found after 12:15 AM their red blood was trickling down the sidewalk. The color photographs printed in the National Enquirer showed the bodies covered in red blood. This means they were freshly killed, around 11:30 PM, because their blood would be black and clotted if dead for over an hour (as in the Borden murders). Since the limousine driver picked up O.J. Simpson at 11 PM he could not have been present at the murders. This proves him innocent of murder.

The O.J. Simpson case received more publicity absolutely and relatively than the impeachment of the President, or even the Oklahoma City bombing. The National Association of Editors and Publishers has never explained why. You could ask the rumor mongers on talk radio why they were told to publicize and prejudge this case before the facts came out at the trial, and why some continue to ignore these facts. I think this is more than the gossip of idle tongues. This case could become a textbook example in the use of propaganda by the news media.

The book "Killing Time" by D. Freed and R. Briggs, which covers this case, also tells about the "Black Dahlia" crime which was never solved even after the murderer confessed! Will the Brown-Goldman murders forever remain an unsolved mystery?

Logically and legally a person is considered innocent until proven guilty. If not found guilty, the accused is innocent. People do not always understand or accept this in all cases. But a jury is always told to wait until all the testimony is given before deciding on a verdict. Many people will form an opinion when they hear the first news, and ignore newer facts.

Kareem - Were you really changed?
Having spent time on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, I too, became a changed person due to the people, their culture, their hospitality, and mostly their spirituality. There is so much to learn from the Apache people. Kereem stirred a lot of warm, wonderful memories inside, which left me smiling as I read his words.

However, he also stirred a bit of anger and injustice inside of me. On one hand Kareem acknowledges how the Apache are a very private people, and don't like to be singled out. So, instead of respecting that, he writes a book about it. It was probably difficult enough for the boys to be singled out on the court by his coaching, now their lives are out there for the world to read. If the Apache people really changed Kareem, as he claims, I can't imagine he would have chosen to make a profit on exposing their personal lives as he has done. I would think his Apache "family" is a bit estranged after this book's release.

An Honest Look at the Man and his Passions
The honesty with which Kareem Abdul-Jabar's "A Season On The Reservation" is written is quite refreshing. In this age of spin control, especially when it comes to athletes and other public figures, it's nice to see a high-profile individual such as Mr. Abdul-Jabar share his insights and interactions with no noticeable smoke or mirrors. He begins his journey to an Apache reservation with hopes of uncovering some history (Mr. Abdul-Jabar has a fascination with Native-American history) and of sharing his wealth of basketball knowledge with the resident high school basketball squad. There are many bumps in the road, though, and "A Season On The Reservation" speaks eloquently about the cultural differences Mr. Abdul-Jabar encounters when dealing with the Native-American basketball players. They are not comfortable being singled out for criticism and they are not necesarily open to learning techniques that may make them better players. Over the course of the book, however, they learn from Mr. Abdul-Jabar and he, in turn, learns from them. One scene in particular, a confrontation with a player named Tony, is amazingly honest. "A Season On The Reservation" paints Mr. Abul-Jabar as a fellow human being, not a sculpture standing on a pedestal. The history lessons in the book, often drawing a parallel between Native Americans and African Americans, get a bit cumbersome occassionally, but "A Season On The Reservation" is well worth the cover price thank to its honest approach.

A Must Read
This book is a must read. You don't have to be a basketball fan, African American or Native American to relate to the author or his sojourn. He touches on human issues and lets you into to his life and the lives of the White Mountain Apache. The reader gets an insight into what makes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar tick and some of his passions. The reader gets to know the players of Alchesay High School through the eyes of a true basketball legend and highly intelligent man. You get to see a side of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar that the world has never known. I enjoyed this book and found it hard to put it down.

More than a cursory glance required
Any reading into the JonBenet murder investigation must include this book. Singular includes much information and speculation that doesn't make it into the mainstream press, but is, quite frankly, common knowledge regarding possible child-pornography connections to this gruesome and tragic event. While it is true that Singular raises more questions than he answers, the timing of the book (published in 1999) made that necessary. He had no answers, and the questions, at that time, were not being raised.

Now, as more and more children are disappearing off the streets, from in front of their homes and even from their own bedrooms, this book requires a second and third glance. There is far more going on here than meets the eye, and it has been going on for far too long.

JonBenet is a symbol for what is happening across America today, and she will not rest in peace until we know what happened and why, and until we know enough to put an end to it, once and for all.

Gripping true crime analysis!
Definately the best of the lot on the Jonbenet Ramsey case. The author's analysis of the crime and the investigation brings out many points that may have been overlooked during the investigation. He is right on target with his thoughts on the actual murder method, the great deal of time taken with the crime, and a possible tie-in to. Again we have a situation where the cops who handle few to no homicides refused to get help from the state police or an experienced police dept. like that of Denver, Colorado. If this case had been solved, would Mr. Singular even have to write a book?

Best Book on the Case!
Mr. Singular's insightful book is a great example of contributory journalism. Not just a scrapbook, like "Perfect Murder, Perfect Town", but a chronicle by one of the country's finest investigative journalists of his descent into the darkest regions of one of the 20th century's most distorted and over-reported criminal cases. Mr. Singular actively investigated the case. His findings are disturbing and provide critical information for law enforcement officials and others with an interest in seeing justice for JonBenet. His analysis of cultural phenomena impacting this tragedy should be required reading for the Grand Jury investigating the crime.

Hero Worship from a Distance
Interesting story about one man's rise from the porch of poverty to the mansions of Beverly Hills. The story is well researched and well reported, but it seems that Geffen is a hero to the author, and there is a positive slant placed on almost all his actions. The actions of his rivals are seen almost always in a negative light.

The choice for references was kind of strange to me, too, including long quotes from "Queer in America."

This shows the work of a hero-worshipping author writing from afar. One who sat down with David Geffen and spent time and effort to interview and understand the man might come up with a much different, and much better, work.

Inspirational for future moguls!!!
Rags to riches...David to Mr. Geffen, Sir. This book is a true testament to hard work does have it rewards. David Geffen's rise was phenomenonal but with his work ethic and business savvy it was actually expected. It landmarked Geffen's rivalries and inhibitions and showed how he made the big mergers of the conglomerates in the 90's work for him. A fine road map for future moguls. Slow reading in the beginning but it made up for it in the end. A fine piece.

A Music Mogals Dramatic Rise to the Top of the Music World
Stephen Singular details the meteoric rise of a music moguls rise from a working class Brooklyn family to a major player in the entertainment industry. Personal secrets are shared with the reader including a lost love with Cher and the pain of admitting his sexuality in public. A great read for someone intrested in how the entertainment industry works or just how to claw your way to the top.

Not too charming
This book tells the same thing over, and over and over yet again. At times I thought I must have turned back the pages because I had already read the same words. The author makes a big thing about the red dots near Gerry's ear. When this is finally solved it takes up about half a line.

Engrossing story of a "Black Widow"
I am not a huge fan of the "true crime" genre, but picked up this book because I just moved to Steamboat Springs for the Summer, and people still talk about this case. I was pleasantly surprised at how well-written the book was. It also was well researched, presumably, in part because, before his death, the victim had hired a private investigator to dig up the dirt on his ex-wife in preparation for a trial. The book is a fast-paced read, and would be enjoyable if you like this kind of book, whether or not you have ever been to Steamboat. The activities of this sociopathic woman are chilling.

Charmed to Read!
Charmed to Death is a spellbinding thriller about the notorious "Black Widow Murders". Steven Singular has crafted a devilishly gripping tale base on the real life events. Highly Recomended to any fan of this genre!

Interesting, but very brief
Although this friendly paperback is about 250 pages, 120 of these are just summaries of the bills he worked on.

This was a nice reference about Lieberman when he was first announced to be Gore's choice in 2000 for running mate, but now the world needs to see a more in-depth portrait of him. Still, this book is interesting in that it gives us a brief idea of Lieberman's strong moral standards and integrity.

Power to Burn: Michael Ovitz & the New Business of Show Biz
As an entertainment attorney, and a professor of entertainment studies, I can ASSURE you that this book is one of the VERY BEST books EVER written on power in the entertainment industry. The author goes into captivating detail and commentary on the industry--its powerful personalities, its structure, and its operation. Virtually every page reveals golden nuggets of information--teasing you to read on. The author has a wonderful ability to both arose your intellectual curiousity and evoke your emotions--all at the same time--at times, I found myself mentally & emotionally overwhelmed!

blah blah blah
When reading a books such as this which is based on statistical evidence, it is important to realize many things. First, the amount of violent incidents has increased, but so has the population. When this data is converted to percentages along with the population data, the rate of violence and hate related crimes has been decreasing. Second, you can take any set of factual data and leave out sections to make it seem as if your statements are rock solid and unarguable, but it is never the case. This was done with global warming (1600 scientists say YES it will happen, 17,000 say no way). Third, the media has made violent incidents into huge overblown catasropies/tradgedies for ratings. A few years back a stage collapsed killing more than 20 musicians, it recieved almost no news coverage. No one has written books about the rise of faulty engineering and its impending doom on society and man kind as we know it even though more people were killed and injured as a result than were in any school shooting or hate act.

Basically, yes [stuff] does happen. Bad things will always occur. It is the price we pay to be aloud to keep our own minds free from foreign control (mind control). If you want to eliminate violence and hate entirely, eliminate our free will.
