The Dark Side of Nowhere
The theme of this story is about finding out your true identity. Many people do not seem to know themselves very well. Some might think that they are this kind of a person but in reality, they are not. As some people live their life, they eventually find out who they really are. Some people discover themselves layer by layers as they live life trying to figure out who they really are. Just because people belongs to a certain group does not mean that they are alike to people from their group. They might be different from their own group people. To some people, it might be hard to accept themselves as who they really are. This story is about his true identity that affects his whole life.

Jason thought he was one of those people who live life bored. He hated his ordinary life. One day, his school janitor gave him a weird glove that had affected his whole life. He found out that he was an alien that has a form of a human being. He also found out that he has a dead person's DNA, who has been dead for twenty-two years. Not only that, he finds out that his neighbors, his friends, and even his parents were aliens. In order to keep their human form, he found out that they needed to take monthly shots, which kids have been taking them without knowing the reason why they had to.

Jason and the others of his kinds gather together in the Old Town almost everyday to be trained with their gloves that they have received from the janitor. They realized that the gloves were to train the young aliens to prepare them to conquer the Earth until more of the others came back for them. Jason becomes the leader to these groups, helping kids to accept who they really are. As the time passes, Jason realizes that killing humans to conquer the Earth is wrong. The others of his kinds and himself, excluding the adults, they slowly began to change to their normal selves as aliens. Even though they took shots, the effect on the bodies did not seem to work very well. So, they were half humans and half aliens. While these changes occurred, Jason excluded himself from the group because he did not wanted to become a murderer by killing humans to conquer the Earth. He realizes that he does not belong to his group of aliens. His parents wanted to exclude themselves from the group just as well as Jason wanted to because they had liked living human lives. Jason finally realized that even though he was physically an alien, inside, he truly was a human.
