An excellent story of a girl fighing for her rights
When I first read this book, I had just finished touring the Holocaust Museum in Wash. D.C and I picked this out at the bookstore. I am amazed by this book. The reader immediatly falls in love with Hannah, for her strength and courage. The reader finds themselves reading on wanting to know if she succeeds the Nazis or not. If you enjoy reading about the Holocaust, you will love this book! Thank You for reading my review.

The most inspiring book I have ever read.
I read this book in the 6th grade and it was very heavy, but it is my favorite book. I did a project on Hanna Senesh and I learned so much about the Holocaust. I would recomend this book to anyone who needs to be inspired. Hanna Senesh was a brave young lady.

Excellent, inspirational reading!
This biography for young adults uses the diary, letters, poetry, interviews with her mother and brother, and official documents to tell the story of Hannah Senesh. Atkinson begins Hannah's story by describing her happy life before anti-Semitism took hold in Hungary. She uses Hannah's own words to describe her need to make something of her life. Hannah's decision to immigrate to Palestine shows that she clearly appreciated the potential for danger in remaining in Hungary too long. The reader quickly comes to admire Hannah, for she is described as a flesh-and-blood creature. She is forceful, determined, and youthful, but not without self-doubt. It is her self-doubt that makes her want to "do something" by returning to Hungary from the relative security of Palestine to help Jews escape to freedom. Although Hannah's mission was not successful, her willingness to act decisively makes her a symbol of her adopted homeland. By reading the story of Hannah Senesh, young readers will gain a clearer understanding into the national character of Israel.

Deeply moving, incredible woman and her book
I agree one hundred percent with the review posted above. I have just spent the last night up until 5 a.m. reading Hannah Senesh's diary, letters and poems. Her life, her personality, her emotional, truthful, soul-revealing writing is so human, so stirring...a story that you will never forget, that will haunt you and inspire you. Hannah Senesh was a hero that should never be forgotten. She is a personality you will never forget. I strongly urge publishers to keep this book in print. IT MUST BE READ.

Hannah Senesh Her Life & Diary
It is an absolute crime that this book and others about the life of poet and hero Hannah Senesh are out of print! This strong, courageous woman's story is an inspiration. This particular book has been my favorite book since I read it 17 years ago. It should be on a required reading list for people. As an adult, I find her story is more powerful and inspiring than Anne Frank's. I believe that it would be extremely powerful reading for teens also. We must not allow Hannah's sacrifice and her poetry to go forgotten.

A Hero to Remember
Hannah Senesh is the symbol of virtue, valor, and compassion. She risked, and lost, everything she ever had to save others. This book deserves an accolade of praise, and should be recommended to young adult readers. Not only does it give the reader an understanding of this dark time in history, it also presents a sense of hope. For even in the darkest of shadows, there is a light- like Hannnah Sensesh. Highly recommended!

So Young to Die
This is about a Jewish girl named Hannah Senesh who grew up while Hitler's commands were spreading around Europe. She was a brave girl who wanted to save many people who were sent to the concentration camp so she joined the British Air Force, the most courageous rescuers. ALthough many men were interested in her and wanted to marry her, she wouldn't accept. She was never married and died at a young age. Later she was executed by the Nazis at a camp. She is known to be one of the most brave and courageous women.
I read this book because I thought her story was very interesting. This book was aslo recommended by my mom. She also thought this book was interesting because she likes biography.
This book teaches you that being brave can get you where you want. I recommend this book to everybody.
My favorite part in this book was when Hannah Senesh met her mother at the camp and they sent messages to each other across the room. They were so happy to see each other beacuse they haven't seen each other for a couple of years. The part where I didn't like was when she was taken outside and was executed. She didn't deserve to die because she was inisint and didn't do anything bad she was trying to save her people.

great book
It tells about the life of a Jewish family during World War II, and how they had to leave their home. Hannah joined the U.S. Army a few years later after they left Norway. I read this when I was in fifth grade, and I've remembered it ever since. It had a big impact on me, and now I'm an eleventh grader and I still find myself reading it every now and then. I recommend this book to everybody!

This book is GREAT!!
This book is so sad, touching, and gives you a ton of useful information. You should get this book, it is AWESOME!!!
