One of the two greatest books I have ever read. Absolutely amazing.

many extra occult details that weren't in the film make this book and the rest of the series very believable

Why great books like this go out of print I'll never know. The author brilliantly weaves a tale based around the Biblical prophesies in the Book of Revelations about the coming and birth of the Anti-Christ. The story is both chilling and suspenseful as mysterious events start happening around young Damien Thorn. You will find yourself engrossed in the material and the tension will really grip you. The dramatic ending paved the way for future Omen sequels, but this one is by far the best.

I havent actually read the whole book but I dont even need to because the beginning was well written enough that I could easily remark on the book's diversity. That is what it is, this book is diverse and unique. Anyone can put together odd legal cases but these are put together in a way that it is almost like a story. A story of the flaws and quirks the legal systems around the world. This is a great book and I strongly recommend it.

Biological changes are beginning to occur. People are sick, their minds are confused. Children are being borned dead or deformed. A family of campers has been found dead, mutilated by something using incredible brute force... The prophecy is beginnig to be fulfilled. Very interesting considering all the pollution, etc.. now in the world.

David Seltzer once again wrote a novel based on his script for a major studio horror feature. As with his work on The Omen, Prophecy actually reads like a novel and not just a script in narrative form. It is also quite superior to the film version, but then so is most other monster tales. Ferocious mutants terrorize Indians, lumberjacks, and EPA investigators in the woods of Maine. Recommended reading for all monster buffs.

With all that we know about pollution now days, this book really made one think as well as being a good "monster" book. If you liked Jaws & Grizzly, then you will like this.
