A Masterpiece
This was the first book that I have read by Mike Seabrook, and it wont be the last.

Seabrook writes an epic story of two young lovers caught in a web of outdated laws. While from differing backgrounds, the two find a common bond in one another, discovering the importance of love, and how to protect it.

where love is concerned the law is an ass
The first of Mike Seabrook's gay series dealing with social issues, is a poignant reminder that in many parts of the world gays still don't have equality with the rest of society. In what is obviously a story pushing for changes to Britain's archaic sex laws, teenagers Chris and Jamie (both incredibly strong characters (a feature of all Seabrook's lead characters) fall in love, and this leads to Chris facing trial for a "serious" sex crime. The differences between their families is stark, Chris from a loving supportive background, Jamie from a totally dysfunctional one, and this is also a key to the story. The law is portrayed as an ass, as is the pompous judge who gets his comuppance in the end. In the end, though, love is the winner. One of Seabrook's better efforts.

Extremely powerful & a Must for all gay fiction readers!
This book had an extremely powerful plot that took me on am emotional roller coaster ride! The auther really had a way of pulling you in and making you wish you were there to comfort the boys and tell them that it was going to be allright. I also appreciated the writers style and outlook on gay relationships. He shows, in this book, that we (gay people) are just like everyone else for the most part and just want to find love & happiness. This book gets 2 thumbs up from me!:-)

Immensely readable
What gives this novel resonance is the historical backdrop of a German POW camp, the most unlikey place for a developing romance. Although the romance itself is far too idealized, the story is well-written and the scenes of the resistance movement and the chase through a german ammunitions factory are quite thrilling. An entertaining and enjoyable read.

A Real Gem
Brian Hales is unlike any character I've ever had the pleasure of encountering in a novel. Once one starts to read, one can't help but like him.

This novel, set during WW II, tells the story of Brian Hales, an airman in the RAF. Brian decides to join the war effort because it's the proper and just thing to do. Ronnie, Brian's lover and roommate, feels completely different, refuses to fight, and winds up in prison. This disagreement over what each has choosen as his role in the war, ultimately leads to Brian's leaving (or trying to leave) his eccentrically outspoken and suspectingly disturbed lover/roommate. Left emotionally drained and unattached, Brian seeks briefly the comforts of a fellow airman.

While reading, one gets the sense that Brian has always been searching for that true love that many of us have been duped into believing really exists. As is characteristically ideal in the realm of fiction/romance, the protagonist does find his ultimate and true love in the most unlikely of places, a German POW camp. In the mist of English, French, and Russian prisoners of war, Brian falls head over hills for the German guard Eugen. At the camp, Brian and Eugen carry on a torrid and clandestine affair that inevitably leads to trouble.

Full Circle will keep you on the edge of your seat. The escape passages will leave you breathless. The love scene are tastefully written and intensely affective. The theme of homosexuality and the armed forces will no doubt repulse and anger some. In that case, don't read the book. On second thought, do read the book. One will find that despite anyone's "sexual orientaion" we are all still human and experience the same types of hopes, fears, dreams, and even regrets. Being a "straight" female myself, I thoroughly enjoyed this book because of its theme. Full Circle is a wonderful book that easily flows from one scene to the next. It's a definite winner. I look forward to reading other books by Mr. Seabrook

A great romp, debunking pompous tradional views
Even so, some elements of the plot were a little too easily "overcome". I enjoyed the relationshp as it developed between not just the principal characters but the ancilliary cast as well. I would have preferred more explicit scenes.

There were loose ends I would have liked to see tidied up a little, and some of the incidents were fanciful. But I recommend the book. A great romp, debunking pompous tradional views
