The many illustrations are well used, and show the Earth's weather systems in detail. One of the most striking examples is a satellite photograph of near-textbook vortex street extending many miles downwind of Kerguelen Island.
A number of unusual atmospheric phenomena are illustrated and discussed.
I recommended the book to my Hang Gliding Club, and feel that it would be a good addition to the bookshelf of anyone who depends on, is affected by, or is just plain interested in the weather.
