I think Gong Hee Fot Choy really explains and makes clear the life situations that we face on a daily basis. I have been using this for over 10 years on a weekly basis. I find it very enlightening and comforting. Try it! My only advice is that the cards you use for this should be ONLY used for this and nothing else. It's supposed to keep things "pure."

THIS BOOK IS GREAT BECAUSE IT COMES WITH IT'S ON GAME BOARD. YOU CAN DO IT IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES. EASIER THAN THE TAROT! I HAVE RECEIVED ACCURATE RESULTS EVERY WEEK. I'M GETTING ONE FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY BEST FRIEND. I COULDN'T FIND IT AT BORDERS, SO I GOT MINE AT WALDEN BOOKS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, THOUGH I HOPE NOBODY READS THIS UNTIL I BUY AT LEAST 3 MORE.

I have used this book for TWENTY years and have found it to be much easier than using the Tarot. It is incredibly accurate and gives alot of information. If you are looking for something you can use everyday, this book is wonderful. It's great for daily and weekly readings.

heartwarming and sweet. A wonderful book for all pet and/or bird lovers

This is a first-choice, must-read book on Taiwan history and culture. It covers most of Taiwan's frontier period as well as colonial era. If you really want to get a feel of what life was like in early Taiwan, this is the book for you. Very accurate and well-written, it reads like a novel. Definitely required reading, I highly recommend it for not just scholarly work, but also for purely pleasure reading.

This book is awesome! I enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it to everyone with a heart for history. Dr. Feinstein is a great lady and an awesome and gifted teacher....it is great to know the author personally and know what kind of research went into this book...I know that you will enjoy reading it as well...

I found this charming book in a used bookstore when I visited my father in Texas. Sorry to see it out of print. A real treasure that is fun to read and very poignant.

It is the heartwarming story of a lady and her bird. Brings tears to the eyes! Superbly written! A great biography for any one who even remotely likes animals!

Mr. Consalvi's book was a godsend when I first started to determine the values of my Steiff teddy bears. However, we are now in the year 2001, and the book is in danger of becoming outdated with regard to its price guides and the values of Steiff collectibles. Additionally, many new bears and animals have been made since 1990 but are not included in this edition, except for the Disney animals up to 1995.

A new, revised and up-to-2000 or 2001 3rd edition needs to be released ASAP.

In the meantime, puzzled Steiff collectors should look for a copy of "Steiff Sortiment 1947-1999" by Gunther Pfeiffer. ("Sortiment" here means "Assortment".) When used in conjunction with Mr. Consalvi's book, both provide a comprehensive look at Steiff's many world-famous toys, both old and new, but Pfeiffer's price guides are accurate up to 1999. Also, the new "Sortiment" has (at last!) an English translation from the German, making it much easier to locate your Steiff bear or animal.

I am fairly new to collecting Steiff and found this book was caught between the begginer and slightly more ecperienced collector. Some very good pictures and an in depth price guide which could have been just a little better organised. Several Steiff pieces that I looked for I couldn't find, I am not sure if it because they were made outside the time scale for this book. I would say a good addition and informative although I am back here at Amazon looking for something better.

This is a great reference book for contemporay Steiff collectors. It focuses on the 1980-1990 Steiff pieces, their editions & values, photos.

Firstly are you a Steiff or TeddyBear in general collector. If the answer is Steiff this book will have no use to you. The first seven pages are informative but after that it is packed full of colour pictures obtained from peoples personal collectons. It is more like a photo album of bears, although saying this, the pictures are of excellent quality. If you want to check the value of a bear pictured you have to look up the page number at the back of the book and find the relevant item. I have 15 Steiff Bears and not one of them were listed, I have looked through this book 3-4 times and all in all I am dissapointed in it. I will place it in the book cabinet and probably never look at it again.

This is a nicely organized book chock-full of great pictures. It begins with a brief history of the teddy bear, conservation tips, and guidelines on what to look for when investing in a bear. It moves on to discuss Steiff dolls and animals with guidelines for evaluating Steiff dolls/animals for purchase or sale. The book covers miniature bears, Teddy Bears before 1940, Teddy Bears from 1940-1980, contemporary Teddy Bears (as of 1984), artist bears, Teddy Bear related items, Steiff Dolls, Steiff Animals before 1940, and Steiff Animals from 1940-1984.

Hundreds of items are photographed and described in detail with notations on what adds value and/or is rare. Even though the first edition came out eighteen years ago, it still remains a classic reference/guide and it is updated every few years.

As a true skeptic, I studied and starting following this book to amuse my friends with their fortunes. Darned if they didn't start coming true! Now I have folks lining up for weekly readings. I could probably charge them to have their fortune told, but I'm not that much of a scoundrel. Still, it is fun and intriguing. Make sure you read all the front matter in the book so you understand the nuances and patterns that come up during the readings.

Typically I am not really a big fan of German erotic literature but this book contains two novels that are worth reading.

The 'Blue Angel Nights' a book of 252 pages deals with the erotic adventures of the decadent rich in Germany in the 1920's ...

The 'Blue Angel Secrets' is a similar account of 240 pages of some German actors in Hollywood in the 1930's ...

The first book spends much more time describing and in typical (forgive the stereotyping) German fashion detailing sexual exploits while the second book has eroticism it is much more of a story as well.

For those who like the style of writing it would parobably rate five stars but, again, it's not my particular taste since I enjoy the sensuality of seduction described in more detail ...

Although the text has many insightful articles in it, roughly one-third of the text is in French. So, unless you're going for your doctorate or you are VERY fluent in French (there are some difficult concepts conveyed here) the text will only be two-thirds helpful.
