While they explain the large words in kid-friendly phrases and credit Francis Bellamy, they make the significant omission of the fact that Bellamy DID NOT write the phrase "under God," and that it was added without his permission. The text says, "Many people believe that a democracyis a reflection of how God thinks..." without mentioning that the pledge, in its current form, misquotes its author.
A book that is designed to clear things up should be more accurate. Nonetheless, the illustrations are eye-catching and the language accessible to kids. It's a good idea to give them a better understanding than their often-quoted, "I led the pigeons to the flag..."

If you are from ages 4 to 6, this is the right book for you! I think you should get this book because the illustrations are very creative and colorful. If you like circuses and animals you should get this book. A short description of the story is that it's about the different animals wanting to be the star of the circus.

I thought it was a good book. It was good because it was funny. The kid went trick or treating and he got scared by a person on the tenth floor and everything turns wackbards and everybody tricks him. I recommend this book. This book is for ages 8-11.

I'd bought a Polar heart rate monitor and wanted to increase its effectiveness in my training. Sally Edward's Heart Zone Training fit the bill. Sally covers basic principles of heart zone training, then helped me to create my own heart rate training program.
By following the 10 steps outlined in Chapter 8, I had a step by step guide to set up my first heart rate training Points Log, which is essentially a spreadsheet that documents the frequency, intensity, and time spent on various sport activities that comprised my weekly workout. Each of these activities contribute "points" towards a weekly "points total" by activity, intensity, and total for the week.
I found the Points Log excellent for both planning and recording actual performance. I kept detailed notes each week to continuously provide feedback and improve the quality of my workouts.
Needless to say, in the first 6 weeks, I lost a couple of pounds, increased my weekly workload (points) by 35 percent, and reduced my resting pulse rate from 64 to 62.
I now feel much better and more relaxed. Even my clothes don't seem to fit as I'm now appearing a little more angular in the bathroom mirror.
All in all, Sally Edwards offers a comprehensive guide to help you to get the most out of heart zone training.
Each two-page spread starts with the title question, only the name is replace with another name. Adam's response is "I see creation all around me." Genesis 2:4-25 is listed as the reference to learn more about Adam.
Other major Bible characters are asked the same question, and they answer uniquely: Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Samson, Ruth, David, Esther, Mary, John, Peter, Paul, a little child, and of course, Jesus, all with corresponding Bible references.
I fully recommend "Adam, Adam, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin as a fun way to introduce your children to your faith.
