Absolutely spell-binding and thrilling
One of the very best, most enjoyable and involving books I've ever read. I must confess to having read it cover to cover three times, as well as dipping into it occasionally for the sheer pleasure. It is masterfully-plotted and engagingly written. (Incidentally, the movie made from this book was not worthy of it). Now, please, please, please, Mr. Saint, give us another such feast!

The most fascinating book I've ever read!
Saint puts a unique and exciting twist on and old concept, that of being an invisible man. The result is a refreshing and fascinating read. We've all fantasized about being invisible, am I right? The main thought is "Think of all the possibilities!". The author seems to have done just that. When the main character stumbles into an accident and becomes invisible, he has to figure out how to survive in this world. Imagine the problems he faces, one example being that the food he eats, until it is digested and a part of him, is visible! Knowing he would now be considered a freak or outcast he has to avoid contact with other humans (except for one special woman)......it would be tough just to get groceries but how will he earn a living? Also, he has to avoid being captured by the one man who suspects his condition and wants to make him a lab rat for the government. The feature that makes this book so special is Saint's approach. The invisible man doesn't tell us his problems and then explain how he handles them. We stumble across the problems with him.....it's almost as if we're experiencing the same things he is. And many times I found myself saying, "Oh yeah, why didn't I think of that." This is the first book that I recommend, and I recommend it to any one that listens! You have to read this one. You will not be dissappointed!

Another piece of info on Mr. Saint
He is in fact writing under his own name, not a pseudonym. He graduated from Haverford College in PA in the early 80's - I remember reading reviews of the book in the student newspaper (I went to Bryn Mawr College, nearby).

I have the hardback copy I bought when it was published; it's really about the only book I will not loan to anybody for any reason. Although I want to share it, it's so good that I don't want to be stuck without a copy!

Everyone else has already covered the ground of what an amazing, original, startlingly intelligent, engrossing novel this is, so I'll just say 'ditto'.

It's a shame he hasn't written another.
