If you own a cat --or even know one -- you must read this.
I have been trying to buy this book ever since a friend loaned me a copy a year ago. It describes the happenings in an ordinary (?) neighborhood to an extraordinary cat through an entire year. It is filled with tears, fears, joy, delight, and somedays, hairballs and specks on the wall. I now look at my feline friends in a different light. What do they know of us simply because we think they can't talk? This is a book for any cat lover, keeper, and friend. Thank you Leigh.

Absolutely wonderful
This book is absolutely wonderful! I bought it from clearance at a bookstore randomly and am so happy I did. Everyone - from my 8-year old niece to my mother - has loved this book as well. It is very amusing and kept my interest the entire time. Mr. Rutledge has a wonderful command of the English language, using very vivid descriptions. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone and everyone!!

If you have ever had a cat, you will adore this book!
This short story has it all - love, humor, down home goodness, heroes, and a real true villian. I laughed out loud again and again, gasped in horror here and there, sighed with relief, and relished the victories. Most satisfying short story I've heard in a long time.

Do you really know what your pet is thinking
Diary of a Cat is a perfect short story for everyone who loves cats and those who have any type pet and sometimes wonder what they are thinking. Even if you are only a "people watcher" you will enjoy this journey into the life of a house cat who has the freedom to roam the neighborhood to and see the world from a feline point of view. You will recognize several of these neighbors, some from your past and some from the present state of your life. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll cheer for the hero! Enjoy!

A Celebration of Gay Friendships
When I first saw this book, I thought it was cute. As I read through it, I found it to be a sometimes comical, sometimes bitter, always genuine reflection on the unique relationships that develop among gay friends. I have since purchased and shared copies with many friends. It is a great gift item, and something I will cherish and chuckle at throughout my life.

Get this book.
I read this book many years ago. I had been collecting information on lefthandedness for a long time with the thought of writing a book of my own. Well Leigh beat me to it! Although it is marketed as a lighthearted look at lefties, all the information is there. I cannot find my copy so I'm going to order 5 of them for myself and my lefty friends.jk

Enchanting tale of old Key West and the sea
I thoroughly loved this book and am not normally a cat book fan but this is an utterly charming story of cats living in the Key West lighthouse at the turn of the century. It's like some beautiful fairy tale but it's still a very serious book. Wow! This was like the perfect book to curl up with on a rainy night.

A delightful little book!
This book features a mother cat's words of advice to her kittens as they venture into the world. It's humorous, but if you have cats, you'll recognize a lot of the behaviors. I'm sure that my cats must have read this book... :-)

Highly recommended
Highly recommended by Hal, age 12 and Toby, a kitten. Words of wisdom for intelligent felines. Warning: Do not share this book with your owner. Our owner got hold of it and now she knows our secrets. P.S. She says it's the best cat book she's ever read.

My Cats Didn't Write This Book But I KNOW They've Read It!
I could add instruction number 202..."always try to lay across the keyboard when someone is typing, if that doesn't work, attack the ankles under the desk." This is a cat's book of proper feline ettiquette. It is funny and will make you smile when you recognize your own cats within its pages. It's a nice compact volume, just 4" x 6", and might make a good gift the next time your cat incessantly bangs on the bedroom door after you and your partner have discreetly closed it for privacy's sake. This book shows that there's an art to being a cat, but it's a spiritual calling to be a cat lover.

Very weird and funny stuff
My favorite lists are "14 Objects Removed from Men's Rectums in Emergency Rooms," "20 Famous Well-Hung Men" (Jim Carrey?! -- who knew?), and "9 People Who Had Surefire Ways to Tell If Someone Is Gay." I left this book on my coffee table, and when friends came over, they immediately picked it up, and we couldn't put it down. It's kind of weird, and sexy, and something I would never ever want my mother to see. It's also serious and very angering at times: the lists about how badly people with AIDS were treated early in the epidemic, and some of the lists about discrimination. But I loved this book. I wished there were more.

Gay Fun Galore
Truly funny, well-researched look at gay culture and history with an emphasis admittedly on sex (one of the funniest lists, for example, involves quotes from really bad gay porn). Also, there's bizarre historical information on topics like '6 Creative Uses for Semen, '5 Very Bizarre Sexual Fetishes,' and '13 Objects Removed from Men's Rectums in Hospitals.' Not for the faint of heart, or the politically correct -- but very entertaining.

Pure fun
Rutledge doesn't shy from letting the homophobes mix with the homophiles. His collection is wide if not deep and gives vent to everyone from Oscar Wilde and Dolly Parton to Jesse Helms and Jerry Falwell. Lots of surprising, funny, dumbfounding, and spit-inducing quotes. Worth hunting out.

Unnatural Quotations
A great collection of quotations about homosexuals ans homosexuality some quite amusing.

an honest infraction of prosity
Prefabrications previously heard on "You Bet Your Life" Author going to B&N in Cambodia first; compares to Lie Down in Darkness", lite side

Pure garbage! A pack of lies!
Once again, author Rutledge, spews his twisted views in rewriting history. Although a world-class liar himself, Rutledge should redirect his talent to where it is most suitable--the kitty litter box! Just kidding. The book was delightful as expected and should be on everyone's short list of what to buy now.
