MUST HAVE
My littly guy has always loved trucks. I got this for him before he could talk and he always picked it for his good night book. Then as he got older he memorized the pages and knew if I skipped. For a couple of months it was put away. Now, he reads it to me. It's been around for years, just wipes off if it needs cleaning, and I'm sure it will continue to be a favorite. It has grown with him.

Educational and entertaining
My son loves everything to do with planes, trains, and automobiles. I purchased this book while shopping and it was something my son picked up and I could not get him to put down. It is, however, one of the best truck books we own. Each page shows a large picture of a construction vehicle with an acurate description of what each vehicle does and which parts do what. There are also picture insets of certain important parts and each vehicle at work. My son usually has to take this book to bed and it keeps him entertained until I can get to him in the morning. If your son or daughter love trucks this is a definate "MUST HAVE"!

Great pictures and sturdy book!
My son absolutely loves this book. He received it for his two year old birthday and we read it every night. He carries it around with him. The pages are like cardboard and for a rough little boy, the book has held up. The pictures show real-life miniture trucks and construction equipment. Even though he does not understand all the words in the book, he loves listening to it and turning the pages to see what's next.

We have a series of these books and our two boys (4&5) love them. Our children are adopted and are learning English. These books are clear, simple and with highlighted picture out takes, making the English learning process very easy for any child.

Super!
This is a nice reference guide for all ages. I have a 4 year old who is VERY interested in nature and I bought this book to aid myself and her in identifying various birds that we run across. It is perfect for an adult as well as children. There are plenty of pictures that even a child who cannot read, can still understand.

Grow duck, grow!
The see how they grow series is yet another quality series put out by Dorling Kindersley (aka DK). Purchase them all if you can! Both children and adults will enjoy "watching" the duck grow, swim and eat. The last two pages are a pictorial summary of how the duckling went from egg to six week-old duck.

Grow frog, grow!
The see how they grow series is yet another quality series put out by Dorling Kindersley (aka DK). Purchase them all if you can! Inspite of what the Horn Book review says, I found the presentation to be attractive and appropriate for younger children. The last two pages are a pictorial summary of how the frog grew from egg to tadpole to one year-old frog.

A Wonderful Children's Book about Construction Equipment
This book has been in our family for years. It was first introduced to our children and since then has been passed onto our grandchildren. Our copy of "Monster Road Builders" has been used so much that we have more taped pages than not. We now have to order more copies for expanding family and to share with others who have not yet experienced this phenomial children's book.

I would highly recommend this book for any child who enjoys reading about construction equipment. The text is written at a level that children can understand and enjoy. The pictures are so wonderfuly done and they tell a story in themselves. Young children enjoy the pictures and as they grow older, they continue to enjoy the book's text to learn about what each piece of equipment does.

Children love to find the mouse on each page. It is the first thing they look for when a page is turned. Another favorite in our family is the picture where the man's shoe gets stuck in the mud. Our grandchildren laugh and laugh when they come to this page. Each page has so much detail that it can generate wonderful conversation between an adult and a child. Each page describes a different piece of equipment that is needed to build a road.

I would highly recommend this book to any child who is interested in construction, curious about road work they have seen,or who enjoys trucks and machines.

touch and feel kitten
this is a good book if u have young childeren about 1-2 years young.it is very interactive and will teach your kidswhat a cat feels like, and its tounge, its tags, fur, food bowl, and a straw basket.

A definite favorite!
I bought this book for my daughter when she's nine months old. Now six weeks later she still smiles with delight everytime I take it out for her. Besides exploring the different textures, she's fascinated with the cutout on the cover that shows the kitten's fur. Although she likes her other books, normally she's too impatient to sit through reading a whole book, but this book I have to read to her two or three times before she would let me take it away. I will definitely buy other touch and feel series. I feel that they are a terrific introduction to get her to love books.

Both my daughter & I love this book!
When my 1 yr. 9 mo. old daughter first saw this book, she screamed in delight. She found the kittens gorgoues not to mention the "touch parts" very interesting. I, myself, have to admit that I only discovered how rough a cat's tough is after reading the book with my daughter.

I am eagerly anticipating for the other touch & feel books ordered through the Net.
