I read this book and "The Secret Path to Contract Programming Riches." Together, they helped me basically skip normal employment and get a computer programming job almost immediately after finishing school. This book helped me see what options I had - I never knew there were so many!

I was very interested in programming/consulting and this book helped direct my focus to achieve my goal. Although it doesn't tell you exaclty how to become a programmer/consultant, expecially right out of school, which is very hard, it helped me search for more knowledge and that's how I came upon "The Secret Path to Contract Programming Riches...," which showed me exactly what to do to become a contract programmer as quickely as I can.

If you are like me, "Great Jobs for Computer Science Majors" will be but one of many great books in your life that helps shape your destiny and career fulfillment.

I'll make it short and sweet. If you buy this book and follow it step by step, not only will you have a great paying job, but you will have fun, too.

As a computer scince major I found this book very useful. It go tme think about what I really wanted to do and what my options where. the great books is very well done I have a few of there books, they are a must read for college students

Careers in Marketing. Marketing is one of the oldest careers going back to primitive time. It has evolved and changed as our livelyhood has changed from hunter/gather to farming to industrial to todays complex markets. Challenges abound as marketers grapple with an economy in flux, changing tastes and values, emerging and disappearing brands and other factors. Another evolving factor is from few items with buyers close at hand to the beginning of this century when we produced more to sell than customers and emphasis changed. Today the emphasis is no longer selling planned and produced goods but rather identifying customer wants and planning products to satisfy wants. Marketing has changed into a complex and sophisticated field needing a large number of highly trained professional in specialized functions.

This book may be of use to a high school or college student but was of no use to me, living in Japan and looking for some tips to improve my fluency.

I recommend to read this book before even starting your foreign language class. Some of the tips are about things obvious that you do not notice. Most of the advice is very useful and comes from someone which a vast experience in the area. I will use all his experience and wisdom when I take Italian and Russian next semester. It has helped me so far with my English. Thanks to the author for such a great tool for the student

This book is great for taking advantage of any language course. The vast experience of the author helps you to recognize the most common difficulties you will face when learning a foreign language. This book is really insightful to those who are still earning their undergrad degrees. It offers many tips on resume writing, networking, and assessing ones own skills. If I were a junior in college this would have been a great source of information and inspiration. However, for someone who has been out of school for a short period of time, it doesn't offer much in the way of career guidance. It does offer good tips on graduate school and how to find the program that is right for you depending on what type of job you are interested in after. It also lists all the professional associations for a political scientist.
