Joel Rothman's awesome books are well worth waiting for-and you may have quite a wait since it's out of print. But eventually they do pop up on wish lists. If you add this one to your wish list you will get your money's worth. Rothman's exercises will promote your speed and flexibility, plus they are loads of fun. With over 300 pages of exercises that are easy to read (not necessarily so easy to execute) there is something for everyone, whether you are a beginner or whether you teach. When I showed this book to my teacher he said, "I wish I'd had this when I began." He showed it to his teacher who was equally impressed. It really is a multi-level book. The biggest problem is Rothman gives you more material than the actual book binding can support and you probably won't find a music stand that will easily support it's oversized hardcover bulk. I like to photocopy my favorite pages and stick them on my cheap stand while practicing. Like I said, you'll get your money's worth-compleatly!

Joel Rothman pens another stunning masterpiece. Not only does he kick a** on the drums, but we all can see he has a sensitive side as well. I reccomend that anyone who plans on playing the drums buy this book, and anyone who has ever tapped their finger, their pencil, their pen, their fork, their knife, their whatever should also. Furthermore Joel Rothman is a god.

This book has really improved my drumming and has helped me to tune and get the best quality from my drums.
