Listen up!
Mrs. Ross-Rodgers excersises her "sister" skills and writes a book to other sisters--women. This is a quick read and an eye-opening "I am talking to you" book concerning self-esteem, love, female sterotypes and how to move up an on with your life and personal relationships (with men). The primary focus of taking care of Self, if often overlooked by women today--putting others before ourselves (while we are suffering). The book moves you to look at your own relationship.

Thanks for the copy, Martha!

Great reading..
I am impressed with the quality of writing and inspiration behind this book. I reread the self-esteem chapter often when I find that I am thinking against myself. Everyone can benefit from the advice that Mrs. Ross-Rodgers writes in Woman to Woman. It reinforces the importance of being happy first, of putting yourself first and watching things work out from there. It is a book I will read and continue to reread. Some lessons take longer to learn.

An interesting,insightful read
"Woman to Woman" is a book for woman to examine their relationships mostly with the opposite sex. Is it better to have any man than to have no man? Are all men are dogs? In this book, the author cautions us that we are also persons with needs and that they should also be addressed in the relationship as well. We shouldn't do everything for our mates, but let there be an equal balance within giving and taking. Not just one person doing everything. The author can relate because she has been married for over 20 years and lets us know that we can all have a good relationship and not at our own expense.

EXCELLENT BOOK!
i met the author , Martha J. Ross - Rodgers at a booksigning . I brought a copy of her book Awakenings for my niece who is 15. I decided to read the book myself prior to giving it to her, and I must say that I was quite pleased. This book is an excellent read for people of all ages.Awakenings brought back so many memories for me. The issues that she presented in Awakenings such as intrarace racism was definitely one that I could relate too. You see - the lighter the skin tone, the straighter the hair texture, the more that you were viewed as being better many times in the black community. As a child, I saw this many times, and even now as an adult it is still happening. Ross - Rodgers also brought up other issues such as self esteem and best friend issues. What was interesting was that even though the book is fiction, the issues are real. It is definitely a must read for the ages of 12 years old and up.

Great inspiration for adolescence girls.
I think this book is a great inspiration for any female adolescence who is going through those tough years. This book leaves you with the feeling that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind on doing whether your 15 or 55. Great book....it should be in all the public schools.

Who ruled where and when!
Want to know whom ruled Morea or who Konrad II Von Stenburg was, then one should use Rulers and Governments of the World Volume One: Earliest Times to 1491 by Martha Ross. The index is well developed and is in alphabetical order. Ross even decided to include how names are different in various langauages, i.e., the name Charles is Karl in German and Danish but Karel in CZECH and DUTCH. John is another interseting name that changes from John in English, to Giovani in Italian and Johannes in Latin. The index of persons is also well developed and makes it very easy for a person to find what he/she is looking for.
