Cute Little Pop-up book!
Being a cat aficionado and having owned cats all my life; this was a no brainier. The little pop-up book is simply adorable with cute pictures of cats and kittens; sure, this book will not make your intellect grow and it sure will not help you become smarter. However, the book is definitely a must have for anyone who loves cats. The font selected for this book is very easy to read and the colors selected are bright and positive which are the right colors for a book about cats.

A positive message for girls
This book has lots of beautiful illustrations and pop-ups but the best thing about it is the specific message of what makes your girl so lovable and why you love her. The emphasis of the book is the "because", which gives more meaning to the "I love you." Barbie is good hook to make this appeal to girls; the drawback is that it will make it unappealing to most boys, yet they need to hear a similar message of lovability. I hope the authors' next book will be one with the same message for boys, in a format designed for them, or one that would appeal equally to boys and girls.

Great for Toddlers
My 2 1/2 year old enjoyed coloring the back of the sturdy paper Valentines. After choosing candy heart stickers and tiny ruby heart stickers to adhere to the cards, we sent them to friends and grandparents. They loved them!

Tells the story in an inter-active manner the family enjoys.
This book was intended for young children, but we have learned to have fun with it in many ways as a whole family. When my child was young we read it as you would any rebus book, so that the child "reads" the pictures and you read the text. Now we like to take this book out at parties for the children, but have the adults suggest completely nonsensical substitutions for each picture and have the children correct us with the proper answers.

No Index
I found the book clearly written but was surprised to find no index.

get your share: the everyday woman's guide to stocks
I too am a hispanic woman. I was quite intimidated by stocks and expecially that scary stock page in the newspaper. I could not believe it. I am a college graduate and a bank employee and here I am completely baffled by investments. I work in a bank. But I caught the last 15 minutes of her PBS special and was captivated as to how simply she explained it without being condisending. I needed someone to explain how to take control of my own finances and all of those dummy books were not as helpful as I had hoped. I truly felt like a dummy!! I especially liked the road lane analogy. Because now I know in what lane and what speed to go. Even though I am 27 and the recommended/investing age starts at 25. I am confident that my retirement will be smoother than most of today's retirees. I thank you very much Julie, you improved my life by allowing me to understand it more clearly. Thanks again. If you are ever in Chicago, look me up. I owe you a cup of Starbucks mochaccino or something!!

BEST FINANCIAL PLANNING BOOK OUT THERE!
Wow! Julie Stav is really a financial writer for our times. She speaks in clear language and provides a special (and easy!) system for you to figure out how to plan for retirement, save for a college fund, or even just get the most out of your 401(k). My favorite part was the exercise she had us go through to find "hidden assets" that I didn't even know I had! I would recommend this to anyone who is numbers shy but who knows that it is time to take their financial future into their own hands!

the sinking emergency room
This book is one of the worst books that I ever read and would never recomend it. The characters are un-real and the plot is week. It is a NEVER must read.

Never thought a book can be so good.....THIS ONE CAN!!!
I got this book and from the moment you read the first page you want to read more and so you do.....until you've found out you've read the whole book!! You really get to know the characters in this book and anyone who says the don't! WELL DOESN'T KNOW A GOOD BOOK WHEN THEY SEE ONE!!! I'd recommend this book to anyone! I just hope Lisa Rojany writes some more!!! (Thats a hint by the way)

the best book i have ever read! seriously!
this books is great! I read a lot of books and I have never read a book this great! I strongly recommend it! A++++!

Not what I was expecting
Although this book is classified in the children's book category, the text is dense and probably appropriate for the 10-12 age group. However, in my opinion, the pop-up style of the book would be appealing to children much younger than 10-12. This disconnect between the (average) graphics and text left me less than impressed. I'm planning to send the book back and buy, "Machines at Work," a more age-appropriate read for my toddler, recommended by my local librarian.
