Realistic Native American Romance
I read this book last year. It is as powerful today as it was 20 years ago. Having read numerous Native American books, I found Nokoa's Woman, spiritualy sensitive to the Native American's history. She Provided a touching, poetic, romantic story. This book was presented in an easy to read format, yet provided all the details necessary to understand the diffculty between the love of a Native American and a New American. I could not put this book down, I had to read it in one sitting. The intence ending was an inspired surprise which left me conteplating this story for days. I would love a copy of this powerful book to share with my family. Gayle Rogers has become one of my favorite authors. I do hope there will be a sequal to this book.

Nakoa's Woman
I read Nakoa's Woman about 25 years ago, and have never forgotten it, especially the haunting ending! I just reread it under a dif. title, SECOND KISS. This books speaks of the continuation of the soul, about us being on this Earth to love and grow. The poignant and heart wrenching love between Nakoa and Maria is so well written and lyrical, that joy and tears are elicited. The author deeply understands the struggles and the rapture of finding one's self, surrender and acceptance. The American Indian culture is authentically portrayed, and contrasted against the white man's world. You must treat your mind and heart to reading this book. Gayle Rogers, if you read this please mail me. Thank you for writing such a wonderful book that touched my soul.

This story I can never forget-just beautiful!
I read this book in the late 70s, read it and reread throughout the years. It is the most romantic, spiritual, mystical love story I have ever read. It has everything in it, passionate love, spirituality, the struggle with oneself, sacrifice for love, sorrow, etc. Everytime you read this book, you learn something new about yourself, your soul, eternal love, the beautiful ways and thoughts of the Native Americans. Yes, it also teaches you. I wish Gayle had written more books, I searched and searched for more books but to no avail. I feel that when she wrote this book, she was definitely spiritually motivated almost like she had spent herself on this one book.

UNFORGETTABLE, BITTERSWEET,AWESOME
I read this book in the late 70s, and read it and reread many, many times. This has been my favorite historical romance novel of all times. No other compare to this magical, bittersweet romance story. The dialogue of the Native Americans are so incredibly profound that it makes your heart melt. I wanted it to go on and on. Gayle, the author, seemed to have such a spirtual insight when she wrote this book. This love story is passionate, gentle, mystical, heartbreaking and leaves you wanting more. After I read it, I kept looking for her novels and couldn't find any. I read it first as "Nakoas Woman", then discovered that it was first named "The Second Kiss". I still have a very old copy, and am going to buy another one to have my daughter read it.

The second kiss
I read "The Second Kiss" in 1999. It's a wonderful book. The author has such a gift of taking you right into the story. It is a love story that you want to go on for eternity. I do wish this book would be reprinted so I could own my own copy. I have had the honor of meeting Gayle Rogers, and she is as enchanting as her writings.

Gladyce with a C
Gladyce with a C, fed every aspect of my being. Gayle's presentation of pertinent american history fed my mind, her romantic style fed my heart and her explicit presentation, depicting the meaning of life, fed my soul. I could not put this book down once I get into it. I read it with enthusiasm as quickly as I could to experience the books continous story. Now I must read it very slowly and thoroughly to to embrace and internalize every detail. If you loved Nakoa's Woman, Gladyce with a C will give you cause to explore the core of your reality. I have never read a book, as empowering to enlighten, like Gladyce with a C.

This is a story you will ponder for ever. A real clasic.
Glady's with a C fed my whole being. Gayle's depiction of pertinent history challanged my mind, her romatic style warmed my heart and her explicit presentation, demonstrating the meaning of life, exhilarated my soul. Once I got into this book I had to read it quickly to experience her story telling the way she contrived it. Now I must read it slowly and throughly to embrace and internalize the impact this story has had on me. If you loved Nakoa's Woman, Gladyce with a C will cause you to explore the core of your reality. I have never read a book, that has enlightened me, like Gladyce with a C.

Beautiful Love Story
I've read Gladyce With a C and I have to say that it is incredible. The author's writing creates a world that is both vivid and poetic. It is a metaphysical and mystical love story that follows the lives of two young lovers who were destined to be together long before they ever met.

Years ago I read this author's best selling book Nakoa's Woman. Gladyce With a C is the continuation of Nakoa & Maria's love story in a new incarnation.

Gayle Rogers is an awesome writer. When I read her stories I become a part of them.

A NICE IDEA, BUT POORLY EXECUTED
If you are stuck taking an "Introduction to Financial Accounting" course that uses this book, insist that the instructor read the chapters, provide sample solutions to unassigned problems and work the problems prior to assigning them. There are many exclusions and misprints in the text that resulted in needless confusion when my class members worked the end-of-chapter exercises.

I applaud the authors' attempt to make a dry subject more interesting. The result, however, appears to be a mixture of concepts and terminology from three different CPAs, with problems generated by third parties who never read the text. The exercises appear to focus on providing a challenge rather than providing a clear path to understanding the basic fundamentals of financial accounting. This is clearly a case of "too many cooks spoiling the soup."

I will have to buy another text and learn something useful on my own. This book has obfuscated the basic concepts that I will need to knowledgeably review financial statements as a part of my job.

NOT A GOOD BOOK FOR INTRO TO FINANCIAL ACCT !
I'm currently taking a first year course in accounting (ACCT 2301). Honestly, this book should NOT be used for first year accounting students! Luckily my husband majored in Acct., so I have a personal tutor on hand.

The book's preface indicates "We assume the students has had no prior exposure to accounting and financial statements, and has had little exposure to the business world". Hah! I believe these authors (professional CPAs) forgot who there target audiences were.

I have a better understanding reading Quantum Physics or law reference books than comprehending this book. Does anyone remembers Charlie Brown's teacher? Do you remember how she speaks?(Blah, blah, wah, wah, wah!) It's this book in a nutshell. It's dry, too wordy to get to the point, and its a difficult book to understand.

I have bought a supplement book "Introduction to Financial Accounting" by Horngren, Sundem, and Elliot. What a difference! Over the weekend I have read the first 3 chapters with a much better understanding of the foundations of accounting.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE...THIS IS NOT A GOOD BOOK FOR ANYONE STARTING OUT IN ACCOUNTING.

A Great Asset
I used this book for an accounting course. Its very detailed and full of pertinent accounting information.

I especially liked the NET TUTOR and CDROM Study Guide. It has helped me score an "A" in my course!
