An Eclectic Approach
This book bridges eastern and western perspectives on the body to formulate a movement approach to performance that could be the basis for a Stanislavski based acting class or a performance class that is some combination of actors, dancers and performance artists. The exercises are concise, clear and guide the reader through increasinly levels of self-awareness and application of this knowledge to performance.

Feel, Fuse and Follow is Great Technique
This book is great. The concept of feel, fuse and follow integrated me with my body in ways I never thought possible.

Innovative approach
This book was a revelation to me in integrating my physical life with my imagination. The easy to follow explorations guided me from an understanding of my body to new ways of moving and working with a script. I found its focus on breathing and imagery expanded my ability to create a character.

Nice and simple
I bought this for my 3 year old not really knowing what to expect. When it arrived my daughter wanted to open it immediately and read it. She loved the beautiful pictures. I loved the simple words. A great introduction to Jewish traditions, thoughts and prayer that you can build on at home.

Wonderful for young children
This book is one of the best I've ordered so far. The writing is in large bold print and there are only a few sentances per page, so it holds a toddler's attention. There is a great message and the illustrations are adorable. Great children's book!

In the South Seas
Published in Digital by Amazon Press ()
Authors: Neil Rennie and Robert Louis Stevenson
Amazon base price: $2.99
Average review score:

Indispensible to Readers of the Pacific
If you read only one "South Seas" book from the 1920s back, this should be the one. This Penguin issue corrects a number of inaccuracies from previous editions, including Stevenson's own error in their departure date (!) It is the classic travel and observation book of the Pacific. The early descriptions of the Marquesas are unmatched, as are the accounts of the several islands they visited in Kiribati (Gilbert Islands). The account of Tem Binoka will give you a real eye opening into an absolute ruler and his ways in the late 19th century. Reading this could start a life long interest in Pacific literature.

In the South Seas
In his book, In the South Seas, Stevenson gives an accurate and in depth look into the people and culture of the islands of the South Pacific. The book describes Stevenson's two year journey from the Marqueses Islands, to Tahiti, then Honolulu ,and finally Somoa. Stevenson uses the great adventures he experienced and his masterfully writing skills to paint a breath taking view of the islands and thier many beauties.

This book is great!
I first saw this book at my mother-in-law's house and just loved it. I grew up in San Diego and it was fascinating to see the before and after photographs of places where I grew up. The book is full of great photographs and interesting historical text to go with it.

Excellent, well written and documented, and informative.
This book was written by the folks at Black Hills Institute of Geologic Research. Neal is the leading authority of invertibrates of this period. The book lists species and where specimens have been found. I have found it to be an excellent desk reference as well as a great field guide. Recommended reading for the Ammonite hunter.

Praise God !
Written by true men of God, this book not only dispels myths concerning its subject matter but also proclaims, through Scripture and modern day accounts, the unique power and authority bestowed upon us to the Glory of our Precious Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. If you are a true child of God, I highly recommend the purchase of this book...it's all very real...and you may be "astounded". Praise God!

all in all, a worthwhile book
I only want to touch a little bit on what this fine book has to say about growing mushrooms, which is surprisingly little; out of 21 chapters, only one is about growing shrooms, the rest are for growing weed. The cultivation techniques are simple and effective, but taken nearly verbatim from...., which in turn was an adaptation of the techniques by Oss and Oeric in the Magic Mushroom Grower's Guide, I believe. Buy this book if growing shrooms is an afterthought to lessening your chances of being caught growing marijuana, for that is where the author earns your money. Mr. Bunch is obviously knowledgeable about growing high-quality, clandestine weed, and is also very fun to read, but unfortunately he is little more than a novice mycologist. I highly recommend this book to anyone intending to cultivate marijuana, but for those intending to grow psilocybe mushrooms, I must refer you to the Magic Mushroom Grower's Guide and the Mushroom Cultivator, by Stamets and Chilton.

Great bathroom reading
If you ever wanted to grow your own treez or mushrooms, this is the book for you. Put it in the bathroom and read it when you have some time - worked for me!

Excellent
This is a brilliant very informative book ,it is set out in such a way that it is very easy to read and follow the techniques used.It explains how to grow marijuana and mushrooms and other more interesting information very well with everything you need to know. This is definately the best book i have read on how to grow mushrooms ever guarenteed, as all of the other books i have read on this subject have been to confusing to follow or not informative enough and therefore this is the only book on that subject alone with the marajuana growing also as good.

Informative for wives, too!
My husband lost his father a few years before we got together, but in reading this book, I think I was able to understand better much of what he went through and what forces have made him the man he is today. I'm the author of "Fatherless Women: How We Change After We Lose Our Dads" (Wiley) and I was struck by Chethik's handling of an (obviously) related topic -- particularly by the similarities and differences he uncovered in men's experiences as opposed to women's. All of this, by the way, comes in a lovely, readable book -- making it useful for those of us who live with fatherless men, as well as for the men themselves.

Here's my title -- BUY THIS BOOK!
First, I am pleased to see the 5-star reviews dominating the customer reviews. I finished reading FatherLoss about three weeks ago, but I had to wait to write this review because something was going on as a result. Since reading FatherLoss, I have had talks with my wife and my mother and sister that I never thought I could have. And my brother, who I never talked to about such things, opened up to me for the first time in 36 years. We lost my father suddenly in 1965 -- at a very young age for all of us. I truly wish now that I had this book back then, even at a young age. How helpful it would have been for my mother, to give her guidance, to read to us for reassurance and understanding of our emotions. So many things I thought were wrong about me turned out to be "normal." Thank Mr. Chethik for making his book available now. For all persons who have suffered loss, or who know somebody who has -- get this book; get it for a friend, a spouse, any relative. All aspects, all ages, all problems, all relationships can be found in FatherLoss as it relates to a son's loss of his father and all consequences for all persons associated with the suffering son. It is for women in love with such sons, for their sisters and mothers -- and for the son himself. I have seen Mr. Chethik present a reading and discussion at the Unitarian Church of Evanston. Beyond the hard work and thoughtfulness of his book, Neil Chethik is a kind man. For all he has done for me because of the words in the pages of his book, and for countless others, we should all thank him, and wish him great success -- I have no doubt, Mr. Chethik, that your son looks at you and thinks, "My father -- he's MY father." Thank you and congratulations.

If you are a man who has lost his father..........
My father died when I was 14. He was as guiding, caring, and as thoughtful a person that had ever been. I could not call it love then. Most men my age(43) had fathers raised in the "old" tradition of the depression era- common sense, integrity, honesty. When we lose Dad, the person who represents all we hope to be, it is devestating beyond description. Neil Chethick helped me understand this.
To lose a father at any age is a transformation we cannot understand by ourselves. This book will help take the sad edge from that loss. I had the pleasure of communicating with Mr. Chethik about his work and have shared the copy I had with other men of varied ages. Read Fatherloss if you have lost your Dad. Thank you Neil again.
