This book is so cool. I really couldn't beleive that a book could be so good. I like stare at all the pictures, like all the time. You will too. He is sooo hot!!! But its not just the pictures. The info is really good too. I learned soo much about him that I hadn't known before. It is better than a lot of other books. Especially his biography book. I told like all the other Leo fans that I knew, and they like bought it too. They all think it is the best thing on the absoulute hottie so far. Congrats Leo. Finally someone beside your fine self, has brought the stuff that we WANT to see and read!!

The Leonardo DiCaprio Album is a must-have for all Leonardo DiCaprio fans (such as myself!), and it is really great. Not only do you get over 40 pictures of the hottie, you get his life story too. What more could you ask for besides DiCaprio himself?

This book is well researched and considering the enigmatic subject, has quite a lot of information. It will take you from childhood to 1997 and "The Devil's Advocate", and it has many wonderful photos. It also has a very detailed filmography which I have found useful, and for Keanu fans, the face on the cover will be reason enough to own this book !

What can you say about a man who is so enigmatic and shuns any attempts to have his private live revealed...

Well, Mr Robb does a good job of revealing the Reevester as best he can, but asking those around him...

I like this book ~ it's accurate [yeah, what do I know about Keanu ~ A LOT!!] and shows him in a favourable light.

Us fans ain't got a lot to go on and I am pleased that someone has made an effort to get to know The One.

It is up to date as well, with revisions made to co-incide with Keanu's up and coming movies.

AND HAS LOTS AND LOTS OF DROOL WORTHY PIX OF KEANU so it's a must for the fans...

Brian Robb's fan-oriented book, "Keanu Reeves: An Excellent Adventure", admirably fulfills its purpose. It supplies Keanu's numerous fans with his life's story, and pics galore. There is a pic of this excellent dudestud in black leather pants and boots which will take your breath away, whether you're gay or straight!

I highly recommend this book to all fans of the Ke-Master. He rules!

This book is well illustrated and gives the available info on Brad's life in a readable format, and a decent size. Could benefit from an index. Some of the pictures I have not seen elsewhere. It is now a bit out of date, and some of the stuff mentioned as future projects has not in fact materialised (whatever happened to the idea of Brad playing General Custer for example? That would have been fun!) The best of the Brad Pitt books I have seen so far.

I'm not going to lie to you. Reading this book, I felt like a real ballerina boy, head stuffed with cream puffs and dandylions in my hair. I said I wasn't going to lie. If you have this book on your bookshelf, you may pursue the "Greek love." No lie. You may want to have sex with another man (unless you are a woman, in which case it is fine, not that it's not fine the other way, but you know what I mean).

This bildungsroman follows young Pitt (Pitt the Younger) from his carefree days in the corn fields of Iowa to desinger satin sheets and Jennifer Aniston's tang. I don't want to give too much away, but here are some of my favorite bits:

*Brad turning to acting after a boring two-years as Asst. Deputy State Comptroller of Iowa.

*Hard drinking, sweet loving.

*In Brad's debut (Thelma and Louise) he actually suggested they ride off the cliff at the end.

*Harrowing dance with heroin culimnates with near-fatal OD outside of the Viper Room.

*Really bald.

I would have given this book five stars except for the fact that most of the stuff in the book I was already aware of. I am a huge huge huge fan of River and love him to death. If you want to know more about River's short life, than read this book. Unlike some books about stars, this one was not full of mistakes.

A fairly thorough and complete book on the unuseual life and up bringing of River Phoenix, complete with an excellent collection of color and black & white photographs,sure to please everyone. the author chronicals Rivers life from his unorthadox birth in small house in Madras Oregon in 1970, to his untimely death on the cold streets of hollywood 23yrs. later. the book is factual,but sometimes lacks in, depth of information on certian subjects of his life.the author writes his story around Rivers 13 films and does a good job of developing Phoenix`s need of a father image,his conflicting values, lack of a formal education, and the continued building of his many secrets,(he smoked,used drugs,had candy bar binges, which he all denied) that seemed to catch up with him in the end, and most certinaly contrubited to his untimely death at so young an age, with his whole future ahead of him. Some of Robbs facts are slightly incorrect,like he says River was born in a log cabin, a myth perpuated by his mother, he was not. that he made 9 movies, when it was 13. and one out of context statement by one of phoenix` girlfriends ,Sue Solgot who Robb said; "When we first met , he seemed really sweet and gentle. At least he is getting some hair now. When I first met him he didn`t have any hair.".. leading the reader to beleve she ment body hair.Actually she met him when he was filming Dog fight, naturally his Marine character was closely shorn, so she ment he had no hair on his head. Other small inacuraces like this exist, but all in all it is a good book to read.

This book talked about the life of one of the best actors of all time.River Phoenix.When I first heard that River Phoenix had died,I did not know who he was.So,I wasn't very disturbed by it.But,when I found out that he was the very talented individual who portrayed Chris Chambers in Stand By Me,it was a heartbreaker to find that out.Learning that the character he portrayed would die as an adult was bad enough without the actor himself being dead.This book is a very accurate summary of a good actor.I hope you will publish this review.I only wish that River Phoenix was still alive so I could possibly meet him and tell him what a superior actor he is.When he is around fans,he treats them like people.He doesn't act like he's a supreme being,so I'd say that makes him one.

This is designed for big, big, big fans of Wes Craven. It is a slim book whose text seems to be primarily based on magazine articles and newspaper clips. The book gives a fairly good overview of Craven's history and philosophy in a readable and serviceable style.

This is a brilliant book and particually good if your a big fan of Freddy Krueger films, like me. It tells us of Wes Cravens past and of his past and present movies.

I have been an avid fan of Wes Craven and his movies, But this book gives you more insight on his better movies, and gives you respect for his unsatisfactory movies. As well as getting inside his head and knowing what these movies really mean, After reading it you know what each movie is "really" all about. For anyone who is interested in Horror movies, or any genre of Movies, you should definately read this book.

If you are looking for a short, comprehensive, encyclopedic catalogue of Aesop's Fables then this book is a steal. There are 83 fables in all, including the more famous ones such as the Boy Who Cried Wolf, The Lion and the Mouse and the Goose That Laid the Golden Egg. Each fable comes with a half page or so re-telling of its story plus a one sentence synopsis of the stories' "moral" at the end.

My problem with this is that the stories are so short, there is no magic in them. They are stripped of all but the bones. I can't imagine a child being interested in the stories told this way. I would have preferred them cutting the number of stories and instead fleshing them out by a few pages. I recommend paying a few bucks more for *The Aesop for Children* (ISBN:0590479776) by M. Winter which does just that.

This particular collection of Aesop's fables is based on the 19th-century research and translation of George Fyler Townsend, for whom the stories were moral lessons intended for an ADULT audience rather than simply children's stories about anthropomophic animals. Because he used animals with human strengths and weaknesses, Aesop's tales have been directed over the years more towards children; I heard of lot of them for the first time on a record by the Smothers Brothers. But Townsend restores the style and sophistication that are not commonly found in the juvenile editions of Aesop. I am a fan of Johnny Depp and have decided to read this autobiography by Brian J. Robb. It is a great little book that focuses on Johnny's career rather than childhood and personal life. If you want to know all about his movies and why he chose to star in them, this is the book for you. Although mainly career orientated, the book does tell about his temper tantrums, profilic girlfreinds, Winona Ryder and Kate Moss and of his great heart. Quite a few nice black and white photos, mainly of his movies, lots of quotes and gives out a feeling that Johnny Depp is a sweet, family man with a big heart trapped in a body of a bad boy who throws temper tantrums and has a zest for kooky movies. Overall, I reallu liked it! Only 158 pages, a lot of them pictures, yet the novel is detailed.

I love Ewan McGregor and I think this book is a bit tired. Nothing I didn't know, really. But the irony of it all strikes me. Playing Obi-Wan appears to have really boosted Ewan's career to most Americans, though he is a very successful actor in Europe and quite famous in the independent film circuit. The ironic part is this: Ewan's predecessor as Obi-Wan, the famous and sadly deceased Alec Guinness, received the opposite end from the role. He was hounded and practically went into hiding. When he died, the first I heard of it was on the Star Wars web site. Then, subsequent announcements always contain something like "The 86-year-old actor, famous for playing Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars..." I wonder if that's what Ewan will be remembered for? I hope not. If you really want to see him be an actor and not just a handsome face in a movie that is heavy on effects and light on plot and dialogue, go rent Shallow Grave or Brassed Off or Trainspotting or Emma or Nightwatch or A Life Less Ordinary or ... See my point?

This book is an okay biography with incredibly BEAUTIFUL photos. It is worth buying just for the pictures. I did actually read it, and I did learn a lot about Ewan. However, the pictures are the real reason to buy it. They are stunning.

Robb's book is an amusing and quite compelling book. I enjoyed it a lot cause I discovered many things about this cool scottish lad called Ewan. The book includes some interesting information about Ewan's life and how did he managed to get to where he's now: an outsanding actor that can play a heroin addict, a glam rock star or a venerable Jedi Knight. Don't miss it if you're a fan!

i personally think that there should be a little bit more information on real authors like Nicolas Gage, who a veery influential writer who has written books such as The Mafia is not an Equal Opportunity Employer and Reflections of Greece. Both books were recieved very well in the literary world, unlike Nicolas Cage's book.

As a new admirer of N. Cage (Coppola)I found the book a great read. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of personal details. It also seems apparent that the author has not yet met with Nicolas to gain some true insight into the man and his thoughts. A good start for anyone like me wanting to know the basics.

This author must have actually talked to Mr. Cage and done some research. It is a much better book than Uncaged... and there are lots of details. Again, the only problem is the author neglected to mention Tiempo di Uciddere- a film Cage made in 1989. Besides that this is an indepth look at a very complicated man.... and a good actor.
