This is a wonderfully detailed portrayal of Niki de Saint Phalle's Art work that shows she created more than just Nanas. From early paintings in the 50's to multy-media assemblages, to her revolutionary tirs (shooting paintings), and finally the colorful and, sometimes moving, reliefs from the 80's and 90's. In English and French.

It's a huge, thick book filled with color photos of her work -- some are foldouts. In French, German and English. Highly recommended.

This book looks into the wonderful Tarot Garden which was made in 20 years by Niki de Saint Phalle. It has many pictures and opens the mind for great, colorful, living art.

This small book is an excellent introduction to one of the most important 20th century artists, written by Pierre Restany, a distinguished French critic and a close friend of the artist who died in 1962. It is a first-hand account focusing on one of Klein's most poetic works, his paintings done with fire. A great book for art educators and art lovers alike.

Finally a complete survey of singular work by the artist Dani Karavan and in English, not Hebrew French or German. It has been a remarkably long time in coming, but worth the wait. A good buy for Landscape Architects, Architects and environmental artists of all types.

The power of Hundertwasser's vision is there, in the illustrations in this book. Even in the difficult text there are glimpses of a coherent summation of what the man was about. But the clunky translation, really transliteration, which fails to use clear Anglo-saxon phrases instead of over-inflated terminology, makes the text at times impenetrable and pretentious. This is a pity, because I suspect the tone in the original language was clear and passionate.

On the whole, however, it was good enough as a first exposure to Hundertwasser, to make me want to explore this amazing and relevant man further.
