an absolute must-have for anyone interested in horses
This is by far the best book I've seen in decades on horse behavior and the reasons behind it. I couldn't recommend it more highly!
A must for those who have a real interest in horses
This must be one one the best books on this subject. One of Britain's foremost horse behaviourists, Lucy Rees was using a round-pen long before Monty Roberts hit the Europe. This book belongs in the library of every horselover. It is fascinating and enlightening. Don't miss it. There has been nothing better published on this subject and it has to go down as a classic. Also The Maze by the same author is a great book about her travels on horseback in Arizona. I loved them both.

a must-have book for anyone who deals with horses or ponies
This is the best basic -- and not so basic -- book on horse care I've read in more than 35 years of dealing with horses and ponies. It provides the reader with vital understanding of what makes an equine tick. I encourage anyone teaching horsemanship to use this book as a supplemental source of important information.

Balance and Lucy's Definition of Contact
Lucy Rees goes into a discussion about balance and "true" contact. Providing plenty of photographs, drawings and discussion about her philosophy comparing the positions of a horse standing and at large; and how the position of the Rider during such is paramount to True Centered and Balanced Riding in order that both Horse and Rider maintain optimum contact at all times. A Very Interesting Study with lots of explanation and in terms clear for the beginning horse enthusiast. I recommend this book for every library.
