A Must-Have Book for your Library
A beautifully written, heartbreakingly photographed book that will haunt your dreams. The majesty of the swamp and the dignity of the people will move you to tears. Julia Sims is an amazing photographer with an eagle's eye and a full heart. Manchac swamp and it's people won't easily be forgotten by anyone who opens this book. It is the book, that once given, the giver gives it to another, who gives it to another...and so on. You want to pass it on.

A most beautiful remembrance of home!
My husband and I are natives of the area Julia Sims photographs! We've been gone 34 years! This book lets us relive the beautiful wilderness we grew up in and also to hopefully, preserve it! We have never seen such gorgeous photographs of the Manchac Swamp, except maybe in her gallery in Ponchatoula, LA. ANY nature lover will enjoy this book, even if not from LA!

Manchac Swamp: A treasure captured for all
As a first time viewer of wildlife/landscape photography, I expected this book to be little more than a book of pretty pictures. However, Julia Sims managed, with vertiginous purity, to bring the swamps of Louisiana to my very living room over a thousand miles away. Her lyrical use of brilliant colors and vivid backdrops enabled me, and many others with whom I have shared this book, to feel the majestic and natural beauty of Manchac Swamp. Nearly ever picture tells a story that enables the reader to feel a part of this American treasure. Mr. Kemp's ability to illuminate the personalities of those who call the swamp home is equally impressive. These "guardians of the swamp" have coexisted beautifully for decades with this as their wallpaper and any reader of this book will understand their fortune for having been able to do so. This is more than just a coffee table book to be shared during polite conversation; these 144 pages are a visual love letter to the flora, fauna and wildlife of a dying swamp. Ms. Sims and Mr. Kemp will be thanked for many years to come. Manchac Swamp: Louisiana's Undiscovered Wilderness is a true work of art and a source of inspiration.

STREAMS OF BLESSINGS
This tape deserves 7 stars because it is so very effective. The first part consists of John Price talking about money and your attitude to it, explaining some basic concepts and blowing away the error-thought one often has about money and prosperity in general. He then explains how to use the statements that follow over a 40-day period: there are 10 statements to be used in succession and repeated for four 10-day periods, in other words, one statement per day. This statement for the day can be written down, repeated and meditated upon. The gist of it is that God/The Infinite Spirit IS abundance and wishes to express itself as abundance through the individual. If one has no metaphysical knowledge, the statements might appear strange at first but there's no denying that they work. Following the statements there is a meditation that incorporates the complete message of the statements and finally some more points to ease the flow of abundance into your life (e.g. by cultivating an attitude of giving). Price has a very engaging and reassuring voice that ensures a very pleasant listening experience every time. If you experience any type of lack in your life, follow this program and you'll be amazed by the results. Do not allow your own doubt, worry or cynicism to dismiss this great blessing -- whether you believe it or not, it will work. Sooner or later, depending on the state of your consciousness when you start the program. And best of all, the result is not restricted to money but encompasses abundance in all areas of your life. I sincerely wish that all people who currently experience lack may discover this tape and reap the rich harvest of blessings. God bless you all.

The Ansairetic Mystery, or a New Revelation Concerning SEX!
[....]readers should known or probably infer from the esteemed SUNY press W.E.T. series that Deveney cites ALL sources, resultant of some 150 pages of extensive notes which are a worthy and entertaining/informative read in themselves! Also, P.B.R.'s Occult philosophy and practical systems/methodologies are explored in a highly scholarly yet equally accessible manner, and as an appendix are given in their entirety two of PBR's most essential Sexual Magic works, for which I have appropriated the title of this review. Though a scholarly work, as well as an historical one, it is throughout biographically focused on an 19th century Exemplary Mage's Life and Work!

The Ansairetic Mystery, or a New Revelation Concerning SEX!
Paschal Beverly Randolph (1825-1875)was one of the first well-known Afro-American Novelists (if not THE FIRST), of whom Frederick Douglas was an admirer, and one of the most famous as well as sincere mediums of the Spiritualist movement, famous for his speeches of whom President Johnson was a fan, and a KEY figure in bridging the gap between that nec-romantic movement flowering dangerously into the European/American Occult Revival of the mid-late 19th century. He grew up an orphan in a murderous section of NYC; had almost no schooling, (yet became a recognized genius by sheer will/determination and self-discipline) who lived in the "(spiritually) Burnt-out" district of upstate NY where he added the abbr. "DR." to his title and sold his Glyphae Battah (Magic Mirrors)and Hashish, love & healing philtres:'snake-oil' basically, and married a part Native-American Indian Woman and tried to raise a family in dire poverty. And this is just the beginning to his life! He was very influential in getting Black soldiers into the US military in the last years of the Civil War(& getting them paid like any good-willing American!)...also, Blavatsky gleaned much from him, I think her writings concerning Randolph evidences, if only his living example of an highly artistic and Original one-man Occult campaign via Randolph's numerous Rosicrucian brotherhoods which The Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor would later appropriate nearly ALL of Randolphs ideas to immense practical benefit (see Godwins and Deveneys co-efforts in releasing many key documents in relation to this group), while the Theosophists waged war against that very practicality deeming it black magic basically...later the Surrealists' devoured Randolph's magical works which were circulated widely through the Russian-born Parisian Surrealist Maria de Naglowska efforts...How does a man like this, who entertained at the court of Napoleon and who counted President Lincoln as an acquaintance as well as knew most every influential Occultist/Abolitionist/reformer/Free Love Politician / Spiritualist of his day (Bulwer-Lytton, Hargrave Jennings, Laurence Oliphaunt, Andrew Jackson Davis,et al. ad infinitum)how does such a figure disappear from history? as if suspiciously erased? The question is as tragic as Randolph's life, for it is a pained life full of much suffering, bore throughout with nobility if despairingness at his predicament. He is a beautiful writer--one must allow him that at least---whose sexual magic works serve as a poignant appendix to Deveney's excellent and thorough 600-plus page biography of a life that serves as an intimate magnifying-glass to probe into the goings-ons of an era filled to overflowing with myriad colorful characters and the energy and excitement of endless rounds of ingenious scientific discoveries and religious aspirations/explorations which as the Poet Osip Mandelstam said "if ever there was a golden age surely it was the 19th century!" Wherever you may be John Patrick Deveney, I thank you a thousand times over while reading this and thank you still for giving us this touching biography which served as a means to truly know what it must have been like to have lived in Randolph's day, during an age of 'Romanticism' and later,'Symbolism' in Art, while an Occult revival raged, made up of a noble search for self-knowledge and universal Uptopianist solutions to universal ills, and art finally becoming a RELIGION itself!...Western Esoteric studies should take as an example Deveney's biographical tome, and know the history of the world is in the lives of men and women more than anyplace else, as Jules Michelet pointed out a hundred years ago...I would suggest to anyone interested in gaining a first hand insight into an era & a subject finally lent proper credence to be studied seriously as it should be respected even if despised by "religious realists"...to read this book full of a life lived with such style & grace. Randolph's motto was: "T-R-Y !"...which is what I would say to others here interested in reading a rare work of an even rarer life that hopefully will become part of the American Artistic and Cultural iconography and more widely known literary canon because of Deveney's immense efforts and achievements herein! Bravo Deveney!

Very thought provoking book!
This is a rather interesting little book! I first read it about two years ago and havn't seen it since...a few days ago...I started thinking about it again and couldn't find it. Then a couple of days later it showed up on the floor next to my computer under a chair and I have no idea how it got there, but I'm glad it did. This book helps you create a mindset for success - its simplicity is amazing and its quickness and ease of read (90 pages in a pocket book) definatly makes it worth taking look at. If anything, you surely will look at success in a more appropriate and approachable manner!

An uplifting, empowering little book!
This little book uses the Science of Mind principles to teach us how to make our dreams a reality! The wonderful, uplifting style is simple and fun to read. The small size makes it easy to take this little tome anywhere, and pull it out to get a little boost! I use it as an incentive for my team! This book makes you feel like ANYTHING is possible...because it is!

User Friendly 101
This book is a must for anyone interested in the prophetic. I have heard Larry speak live and we have given out over 10 copies if this book. I have given it to a few Pastors who have also really enjoyed it and have then used it for a Curriculum m for teaching their church on the prophetic. Personally, I also found it very encouraging in my own life and development of the prophetic gifts. You will be very glad you got this book. It is easy reading and you will want to get more than one copy so you can pass it along and keep a copy for your self! Blessings and Refreshings

This book gives guidelines for effective use of prophecy!
User Friendly Prophecy is a straight-forward, no-nonsense manual on the use of prophecy in the Church today. For those Christians who have felt the stirring of this gift in their lives, this book serves as a compass on the map to discovering how to flow in the prophetic.

Larry Randolph breaks down this study on the prophetic into three main thrusts: Establishing the Scriptural Validity of Prophecy, Explaining the Purpose and Place of Prophecy in the Church, and Understanding Prophetic Failure and Success. This book reveals what both the Old and New Testaments have to say about prophets and prophecy and shows how this ancient gift has changed in light of the New Covenant. Both babes in Christ and seasoned believers will learn the fundamentals on how to prophesy, who can prophesy, and who a prophet is as defined by God's word.

Why we fly fish!
Becoming a Fly Fisher is a beautifully written book. John Randolph has a talent for painting a picture in the mind of the reader where you share the love he has for his family, friends and fly fishing.

The book is filled with wonderful stories of hunting fish on a fly from all over the world. Randolph takes us to to great places to fish that we can endeavor to reach in our time. Of killer flies and matching the hatch. Of teachers and mentors that have come before him and that have made countless contributions to the sport.

This book is not a fly fishing manual. It uses fly fishing to help us see our place in nature, and what a wonderful opportunity we have in being part of it. We get a great chance to look into the heart of someone truly at the tenth level and each of us will take something different away from this book.

Enjoy it.
