Guardian of the Trust (Merlin's Descendants,No2)
I must say that this is one of the best books that i have read in a very long time!! Irene Radford draws you into the story,so it is like you are living the story yourself.I would and have recommended this book to everyone. And I have gave this book to family and friends for birthdays and christmas. Wonderful reading!!! I can't wait to read the next one!!

AWESOME
THE STORY HAS AN AWESOME WAY TO ATTRACT MY ATTENTION. AND TO MAKE MY IMAGINATION RUN WILD. EVEN AT 18, I STILL HAVE A WILD IMAGINATION FOR A SENIOR

Fabulous!!!
I just finished reading "Guardian of the Trust" and "Guardian of the Balance" in record time...and I am a fast reader! I found myself staying up very late because I just could not put these books down. I have read many versions of the Arthur legend and enjoyed Bradford's original perspective. Her characters are very well-developed with just the right amount of detail. Like Marion Zimmer Bradley, her female characters are strong, articulate women who know their mind. While I love the story of King Arthur I sometimes grow tired of the Eve-like portrayal of the female chracters. Usually the reader is left with the thought that if it wasn't for the women....Not so with these novels. I highly recommend their addition to any Arthurophile's library!

Self-Wealth is Right On
Three of my favorate personal development books are The Power of Positive Thinking, Think and Grow Rich, and The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Now I have four. Self-Wealth restates some time proven self-development principles combined with alot of very inciteful new material. This is a book you can't put down, and I know I got more information from my second read. Great stuff!

Tremendous book. The authors see it BIG and keep it simple!
When I was in my early twenties I bought my first "personal development" book, written by Anthony Robbins. Little did I know this would start a long journey of studying self-help litterature, listening to motivational audiotapes, and even attending a few inspirational lectures and seminars. Now, with all that I've read and all that I've studied, I must say that Self Wealth has probably had the most profound impact on me to date. And I say this even though it's been less than a week since I finished the book! Maybe it's because the timing and the message was right for me just now. Maybe it's the result of the book's powerful simplicity.. In any case, I really feel like "I got it!" Honestly, this book really tied it all together for me and I am sure it will be a tremendous asset for anyone. No matter what your background, occupation, age, sex or location may be, this book can really help you change, reach your goals and live more abundant and balanced lives. I know this without a doubt... Still, YOU need to USE the principles and ideas that are presented. In Self Wealth you will also find tips and excercises to help you do just this. Again, it's simple, it's easy and it's practical. It is all this and more... It's one GREAT, GREAT book!

Complete History of a WW II Engineer Combat Battalion
"Unbroken Line" tells the story of the 51st Engineer Combat Battalion. It is quite certainly the best history in or out of print that has been written about a battalion-sized unit in World War II. It covers completely and in lucid, readable style its activation; organization; individual, unit and combined training; landing on Utah Beach 3 weeks after D-Day; support of infantry and airborne divisions across Europe to the Danube River; its crucial role in the Battle of the Bulge where it earned the U.S. Presidential Citation and the French Croix de Guerre; and its construction under fire of the heavy ponton bridge across the Rhine River at Remagen, the longest such bridge ever constructed by the US Army in combat. Maps are detailed, accurate and vividly portray the operations described in the text. The battalion's histroy comes alive with quotes from letters to home written by members of the battalion. For the researcher of World War II training and combat operations at battalion level, this book is a must. For the reader interested in general in World War II , this book is highly readable and entertaining.

Fiftynine Years Late the Story is Finally Told
Fiftynine years after the event the amazing story of the exploits of the 51st Engineer Combat Battalion is finally told. This book was written by a member of the 51st ECB and edited by his son. Small elements of the 51st ECB stopped five German divisions for five critical days during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944. The unit was later awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for their actions. Any serious student of U. S. Army operations in WW II in Europe will find this book rewarding and informative reading. The maps are well deliniated and detailed. The photos tell a great part of of the story and many have never been published before.

A classic
"Complete Introduction to Parrots" is an abridged version of the classic "Parrots and Parrot-like Birds", by the 12th Duke of Bedford. He was an English lord, and perhaps the most prominent bird breeder in the early 20th century. His books were the state of the art in technical content in their day, although they do not reflect the immense advances in aviculture since then. However, he had an incredible flair for writting amusing anecdotes about the misadventures of his parrots (including truly rare species, like Lear's macaw), which he let fly free in the English countryside. This is why his books continue to be published, long after the other aviculture books of his day have fallen by the wayside, and why they shall continue to be 50 years from now, when the books that are state of the art today have become obsolete and fallen by the wayside.

Fabulous Photography!
John Radford's book is worth acquiring for the pictures alone! I was amazed at how the photos reminded me of my own wanderings around the Spanish countryside. They truly capture the deep colors of the vineyards and surrounding land that makes this book invaluable for the armchair traveller. Grape varieties and regions are dealt with in detail. If you want to have a great book on wine, and see amazing pictures of seldom seen Spain, this is THE book!!

Great book for those doing a serious rebuild on an old home
I bought the book while rebuilding the front porch and columns on my 1904 home. It *is* a lot easier to take something apart if you know how it was put together. And we needed to re-create mouldings and millwork that was destroyed by previous property owners. This book shows how the "old masters" built these old houses.

I'm an old house purist. And this book has nearly 200 pages of detailed blue prints and drawings, giving excellent detail on how old buildings were assembled. (primarily residences) It satisfied that craving [us] purists get to make something the way it was made 100 years ago.

The drawings enabled us to *truly* restore the beautiful details of our old home.

The book has very *very* few words, but lots and lots of blueprints and drawings.
