One of the best!
This is one of our family's favorite picture books of all time. The theme of the importance of every person, even the seemingly insignificant, is powerful and well-done. As a homeschooling mom, we have used this book for a literature-based study of farm life, family life, pioneer families, seasons, Bible stories, spiritual gifts, and much more. Very sweet and meaningful story that the whole family loves to read over and over again.

Inspiration From a Precious Little One
This beautiful story with its wonderful illustrations sends a powerful message for both children and adults that anything is possible and sometimes the greatest lessons come from very small sources. This book is a a great gift for any teacher, parent or child.

A story loved by young children
I read Least of All to my first graders every year and find many of them requesting it again and again as my own daughter did when she was little. The message that the youngest and smallest person in the family can contribute something invaluable seems to resonate in the hearts of youngsters. The charming illustrations are also captivating. This is one of my family's and students' favorite books.

Great book for piano students, parents and teachers!
My own piano students have enjoyed reading about Mrs. Merriweather's musical cat. I love how the author portrays the piano teacher in this book. Mrs. Merriwether lives an ordinary life, except on Tuesdays, when she teaches her three piano students.

Each student brings his/her own special personality and challenge to the lesson. The pictures are hilarious. When a cat comes into Mrs. Merriweather's studio, somehow the students are playing better, and the crabby neighbor is happier too!

The surprise ending will delight cat-lovers as well as music-lovers.

If you are a piano teacher, or your child takes piano lessons, this book is a must-read!

Happy reading!

Absolutely Charming!
This beautiful book is funny and heart-warming! A delight for children, adults and anyone who has ever taken piano lessons or known a piano teacher (or a cat!). I love it!

A great story for piano teachers and students!
This story makes me laugh out loud every time I read it! As a cat lover and a piano teacher, it speaks to two of my greatest interests. Of course, it is a children's picture book, but it's nice to find one that is fun for adults as well! I also like the way it encourages piano students and keep it in the studio for children who are waiting for their lessons. It is getting very well-worn!

A great read aloud!
Iva Dunnit and the Big Wind is rich in art and imagination, and colorful in language. This is a fun book to read to children. It makes them want to find more books as enjoyable to share. It gives them something to think about, "how important is stayin' put, and when might it be best to investigate? I hope that my comments will lead enough people to check on this book that perhaps it might be made available again. I want a copy for my home library

Empowering Coming of Age Novel
Beautiful story dealing with the coming of age of a young woman in an Indian tribe through the making of a basket. Great affirmations of undying spirit, courage and power for all cultures and ages, especially teen-age girls through honoring our forefathers and discovering our own strength within. I highly recommend this book.
