It's about a twins' story.
The novel is rival to the best of Collins, Booth and Krantz. And the author Roxanne Pulitzer of the pritzer of the prize Pulitzer. Whe I was reading the book, I learned lots of truth in my life, and I learned how to be concerned with the well-being of the masses all the time. And it was about the birth of her-the mother's beautiful twin daughters made her fairy- tale marriage complete. Then it all began to fall slowly, torturously, apart. At the center of the scandal are Carrie and Gracie, Gracie was always treated Carrie like a stranger in their family, but at the end the twins who have shared everything, even the same man. Born into a world where "in" is everything... The author was using a writing style like a cross between Judith Krantz and Jackie Collins.

Some people will do anything for money except work.
This is the author's third work of fiction after her bestselling autobiography, THE PRIZE PULITZER. The book will undoubtedly make enjoyable reading for those who like Harold Robbins.

A Great Read for Lounging on a the Beach on a Hot Day
Roxanne Pulitzer's novel, The Palm Beach Story, is sizzling tosay the least. Amid the world of jet-setting socialites who drop moneylike one drops a napkin, and fast men who like fast women, fast cars, and fast boats equally, enters Megan "Meg" MacDermott. Sent from New York to Palm Beach, Florida to photograph these people who live "in a world [where they have] two pools, one to catch the morning sun, another the afternoon," Meg is a definite outsider. She also comes to find out that the man's (Hank Shaw) magazine (Good Life commonly referred to as GL) for whom she'll be photographing is just as much of an outsider despite being a successful billionaire. Once inside their world though, all bets are off. A wager is made in regards to Meg, and who will bed her first -- will it be Spence Kendall or the Italian playboy, Count Monteverdi?; the Count's wife, Ashton, has ulterior motives as to why she invites Meg into her circle of friends; and all the while, danger looms over one of the characters, which proves to effect all in the private and decadent enclave of Palm Beach forever. The Palm Beach Story is definitely a mindlessly entertaining novel. It has the three Ss necessary for enjoyment: steamy, sexy, and suspenseful.

Interesting story.
I finish reading this book in 6 hours straight. It tells a great story of 4 women seeking new life in Palm Beach and how all them from different background eventually become friends. Each of them have their very own secrets, dreams and problems. It tells about the close friendship they share despite knowing each other's history.Although the mystery is vague but it is worth reading. I had never read a book by Roxanne Pulitzer before. But after reading this book, I am looking forward to read her other books.

This Pulitzer Isn't Any Prize!
Talk about a lullaby...yawn! The Prize Pulitzer garnered 2 stars from me only because I was able to complete the book. (I award one star ratings for those so boring I can't even finish...which has only occurred once in my life) Ms. Pulitzer seems to try to capture our attention with the shock value of her oppulent, dreadful, twisted life. A life filled with stupidity would more accurately describe this ridiculous biographical account of Pulitzer's life. Though one does have to sympathize with her plight at the end of this piece, you are left wondering how she could ever desert her newborn babes to travel with her husband. He, by the way, is the only character more dull in The Pulitzer Prize. Perhaps if Ms. Pulitzer had been more independent, wiser, & more assertive, she wouldn't have had to pen this worthless tale of woe. Reading this book was akin to chewing on raw pizza dough.
