What a wonderful book. It tells all about the history of sand pails and who manufactured them. BUT the very best part is the pictures. There are over 300 wonderful colored pictures of sand pails organized by themes and years manufactured. Each picture has a wonderful description of the pail....it's size, year made and value. There are also pictures and information on watering cans, sand sifters and various other sand toys we have all seen or played with at one time.

This is one of those books that brings back wonderful memories of ones childhood. You can just picture the sand castles, shells and water lapping at your feet. Who would have ever thought those inexpensive little beach toys would end up being such pricey collectibles?! A book full of information and pictures that can make you feel like a kid again.

EXCELLENT help to me since I knew nothing about Sand Pails and I have been able to identify some at shows and buy a few at great prices. All this from reading this fabulous book. I hope there will be more by these authors.

This book is a feast to the eyes of those of us who love and collect these colorful pails and sand toys from by-gone days. As a collector myself, I found the history to be comprehensive and informative, learning things about the very pails I had in my collection I had not known before. The photography is outstanding and the pails displayed represent the best of many wonderful collections. It is a must-have reference book for anyone collecting or interested in old tin beach toys, and a much needed price guide with regard to their value.

I have used this little book, and so has my dear old mom! All I can say is that it is worth every penny. I was so happy with the B&B's this book brought me to, I actually E-mailed the publisher to tell them how happy I was. Kudos, Cheers, Props, Salutations, and big ups to Karen Brown. I do not even look at other B&B books anymore!

BUY IT, USE IT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET!

I highly recommend the reading of this very practical guide to choosing your bed and breakfast in France. I did and I was very pleased with the accomodations, I am telling all my friends that are thinking of going to France to buy it. It is worth every penny!

The Bride Price by Buchi Emecheta is a wonderful book. If you are interested in woman's roles, feminism in other countries, and social issues, I highly reccomend that you read this book.

It has a hard cardboard cover with plastic slots on the inside to hold the quarters. Between the covers is about 50 or so pages, with a small page about each state in the order of their entry to the union. There is some basic statistical information about each state. It's a pretty good deal if you are looking for a simple place to keep your quarters. But if you want a display, it's not of high enough quality.

This book contains a stiff cardboard jacket with a plastic slot for each of the fifty quarters inside the front and back cover. The center consists of a booklet that gives information on each of the fifty states. What I really liked most about this is that is the size! The book is aprox 4.5" X 6.5" which makes it real easy to handle and store. I bought one of these for each of my children to have. It is much better than the huge cumbersome map they sell on TV!

this would probably be most appropriate for 2nd to 4th graders. My little third-grader loved it. It includes some basic information about the states and a map. Also shows when other state quarters will be issued. My only complaint---only one place is reserved for each states' quarters. As we know, there are two types of quarters issued for each state...one from Denver mint and one from Philadelphia mint. Therefore, this book is not for serious collectors. But kids will love it! States' quarters...gotta catch 'em all!

I was dismayed to see it was mostly pictures of people, not jewelry. Barely any useful information. Its a total waste of money.

This book has little to do with investing in jewelry. Too many pictures of uninteresting people and clothes. Too few pieces of interesting jewelry and no new information about the jewelry. A vanity publication. Better read Harrice Miller-first and second books.
