The book is called Lords of Italy:Portraits from the Middle Ages. This book is basically about the rulers and popes in midevil Italy. It is easy to find books on the emperors of Italy Beginning with Julius Ceaser and ending with Constantine I. After this long period of time Italy entered the midevil period of history. During this period Italy was divided in many civil wars in whish kings claimed parts of Northern Italy, Southern Italy, Sicily And Sardinia for themselves. This was a hard period to record because of its many rulers so it is rare to find a book that contains this information. Orville Prescott is the author who wrote this time when Italy was divided. I would highly recomend this book to anyone who loves history, especially Italian history. Prescott's other book called "Princes of the Renaissance" explors the monarchy of Italy during another specific period. This is a hard to find book so you may have to get it used. Get it before its gone!
