The Empty Boat -- Leads a journey to purified mind
Since the first time I read books on the sayings of Chuang Tzu, its philosophy has amused me. But not until I read this book, I find the way to practice it in everyday's life. It is a guideline for dealing with daily chores in my life, for searching the soul, and reminds me the essential object of my pursuit--to live, to love, and go back to my nature and to be myself. Easily getting lost in illusions of the material world, it is a book that helps me to understand the true happiness in life. I hope others will enjoy and benefit from reading this book too.

A practical and thoroughly inspiring account
This book delights in every possible way, it should not be a book to rest on the shelves gathering dust, but one to be perused through as the mood fits. This book inspired me greatly and I have the utmost respect for the authors understanding and commentary on the text. Beautifully demonstrative of the problems mankind faces in a world of stress and worry, Osho presents pearls of wisdom to delight the experienced reader and inexperienced alike. This book should seriously be considered by all especially as it has been out of print for some time, now just recently been reprinted.

It might seem a bit out of order, but what can more we do than believe in love as the source of whatsoever exist

A good book on the first cause phenonmenon
The German philosopher Martin Heidegger once described the "big" question of why there is something rather than nothing as "the darkest subject of all." In this book, Prabhu endeavors to shed some light on the dark topic. The matter used to (and perhaps still does) exist within the domain of Aristotle's "First Cause" argument for the existence of God. In recent times, the concept's most popular vehicle has been the scientific theory of the Big Bang, based on Einstein's theory of relativity and Hubble's discovery of the redshift of (apparently) receding galaxies. This equal-opportunity theory has been utilized by both atheists and theologians alike to justify their own views.

Enter Prabhu. This is the story of a young girl who has quite a precocious array of talents and interests in physics, astronomy and cosmology. Through her, Prabhu voices some fascinating ideas on how some of the basic precepts of 20th century cosmology might be interepreted differently than they normally are. The book attempts to discern a nexus between implications of science and traditional religions (certainly Prahbu is not the first person to attempt thus). Whether Prabhu is right or wrong, I do not know. All I can say that his notions are worth pondering.

On the downside, Prabhu is not the most elegant writer in the world. He uses myriad short, choppy sentences and invokes cliches a bit often. His diction also gets a bit "preachy" at times in which a more subtle approach would have been more effective.

However, while nobody will mistake Prabhu for Hemingway, this book is still well worth the read; I do not want to under-emphasize that point. A modest familiarity with Hinduism and 20th century science is recommended, but not essential. Some companion books which might be prudent to read alongside the present text are: "The Structure Of Scientific Revolutions" by Thomas Kuhn, "Atheism, Theism And Big Bang Cosmology" by William Craig Lane and Quentin Smith and "Times Arrow And Archimedes Point" by Huw Price (although I would advocate the latter only to those who possess more than a passing interest in the subject matter of Prabhu's novel).

A moving account -fictional nonfiction
This is one of the best reads of mine in recent times. Is it fiction or non-fiction?Difficult to classify --but it blends both very well using a fictional stream of characters and events to attempt an answer to the fundamental theories of creation and First Cause . Prabhu though a science person himself ,feels the answer lies in both science and religion and attempts to remove from our minds the dichotomy between religion and science. He also brings to light the buried philosophy of Sankhya from Hindu religion and draws very good parallels between the philosophies of the Christian Gospel, as well as Taoism .More importantly the fictional stream and format usd to attempt these answers is engrossing .Major Kay(Norm) and Anita are the main characters here and easily among the better "human" characters I have seen in recent times in any fiction. A moving piece all in all with som original thoughts and conclusions --it does not matter whether you agree or not --but the reasoning and logic and breadth of material used is certainly compelling .The book will make you reexamine your conventional beliefs in both science and religion and make you ponder for a long time One expects more from Prabhu in days to come

Prabhu's writing is Awesome
This book not only provoked deep questions about science, religion, and God, but also touched upon the lighter side of human life. I found the dialogues between the children and adults fascinating. The author's portrayal of characters is superb. Scenes from the life of graduate students and professors are so real that one feels to be a part of this book.

EASY-TO-COMPREHEND POCKET GUIDE
This "Bates' Pocket Guide to Physical Examination and History Taking" is an easy-to-comprehend manual which was structured in a way that should meet the needs of both doctors and nurses. The information contained in this book are simple and straightforward; and just like the complete edition, they included paediatric coverage. The chapters of this book examined both morphological and physiological abnormalities and/or irregularities. They included several illustrative charts and tables, which facilitate comparative analyses of clinical data.
If appropriately adhered to, the supervisory procedures outlined in this book would assist medics in making correct evaluation of each case they encounter. Also worth pointing out, is the way the book paid attention to drug administration.
In all, this is a good medical adviser, which inexperienced medics should have in their lab-coat pockets.

What a find!
This book is a very thorough review of the physical diagnostic exam. It provides a thorough review of systems that is brief and to the point. While not a substitute for the text, it is quick and easy to use. To top it all off, it REALLY is a perfect sized book for the pocket.

Bates Pocket guide to physical exams and history taking
This is a very informative reference. I am a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy and I see a wide variety of patients on a daily basis. This guide helps me out in performing the correct exams or tests. It also helps the doctor out when he reads my write up. This allows less time for the patient in medical, less time for the doctor, so he doesn't have to see the patient. It also helps me out when a patient is presented to medical with a complaint that I have not heard of or seen yet. I have learned so much more with this book. Thank You and if you are in the medical field and see patients like I do, I recommend this book.

Hilariously inspired literary nosethumbing
...an irreverent, zany, sexy and laugh-out-loud funny sexual coming-of-age tale. Crasta's narrator gleefully, perceptively and unsentimentally skewers human nature, folly and desire in both Indian and American society; at the same time he effortlessly dispenses his own idiosyncratic brand of unpretensious, cynical and compassionate wisdom. The anti-hero narrator of "The Revised Kama Sutra" is deliciously sinful company; one is hungry for more at the book's end. Crasta has a warm, witty, sweetly sarcastic and utterly hilarious voice all his own. A real original.

WAHOOOOO!
THIS BOOK IS AMAZING AND I KNOW THE PERSON WHO DADS WRITE THIS BOOK

Wonderfully irreverent, sly wit.
A wonderfully irreverent, memorable character's painfully humorous journey through Western-fed fantasies and back again. The sly witty style is a pleasure to read.
