SUPREMELY SATISFYING
This book is just a treasure - especially at Christmas time. So simply and beautifully told of a young boy's heart of compassion and a gentle man who befriends him. The illustrations are perfect. For young children I suppose .. but I am a 35 year old single and not ashamed to say - this is book is a can't miss. A lovely book with a lovely message. Worth the hunt if you can't find it at your library.

lars the polar bear
This book is a delightful childrens book about a little polar bear who loves adventure. Lars spends the day fishing with his dad and then they go off to sleep. During their rest the ice cracks and father and son become separated. Lars drifts away, arrives in a new land and is suddenly met by a huge hippo...read on to find out what happens to Lars and if how he meets back up with his dad. Short and sweet, aand a nice book to intorduce children to polar bears and the north pole.

Little Polar Bear
Little Polar Bear is a very cute story, of a young polar bear named Lars, who was out with his father learning how to hunt. But as the night went on he drifted off to sleep, and something unexpected happened. This thing that happened to Lars taught him about new surroundings, and taught him new things he didnt know. He met some new friends, that he will never forget.

Yes, I would recommend this book becuase of the amazing things Lars goes through with the help of some new friends. There are some parts in the story that will make you smile and laugh.

My favorite book when i was little
I love this book!! The illustrations are wonderful and they always captured my attention. The story is of a little polar bear, Lars who goes on an adventure away from his clean, white home in the North Pole. He makes a new friend, who helps him on his adventure.

I still love this book. I take it babysitting with me sometimes, and all the kids have liked it too.

A Useless Book
This book had an insane number of errors, including incorrect formulae, incomplete questions and inconsistent answers. Not only that, but the "Practice Tests" were not anything like a true sample MCAT would be. Many questions tested irrelevant detail that would never be tested in this form on a real MCAT (e.g. "A midsagittal section will divide the body into: A. equal superior and inferior portions. B. equal lateral portions. C. equal anterior and posterior portions. D. unequal lateral portions.") Some of the Verbal Reasoning passages were on science topics--the true MCAT would never have science topics in that section. And even the writing prompts for the Writing Sample section are wrong! This book was a total waste of my money.

A horrible book
I found this book to be quite useless. It was poorly written and filled with editorial errors. Furthermore, the supposed "sample MCATs" did not at all resemble the actual test. Oftentimes, the science passages in the book were little more than a paragraph. In addition, the book stressed unimportant trivia while overlooking vital concepts.

inaccurate representation of the real mcat
the book doesn't even have organic chem questions! so biological sciences were just biology!!! and obscure biology w/ alot of terminology that you'll never need for the mcat! the science passages are far from the real mcat...everything is too easy!
