jason perry's "you are not your own"
... when i read Jason's book i was amazed... he's so open in the book. he tells things that if it were me i'd be kinda afraid to share with people. Jason isn't amazing because he's cute or he has a good voice or because he wrote a book, Jason is who he is because God made him that way. God has used Jason, and the guys of Plus One in my life through their music. I would definately recommend Jason's book to any teen(or even adult probably). I know this is a "you are not your own" review......

This book "You are not your own, live out loud for God" is absolutely awesome. I love Plus One, and when I seen on here that Jason Perry had wrote a book I had to buy it and see what it was like. I love to read. In the past I have read things about praise and worship and about prayer and I always get inspired when I read those books but when I read this book I was just as inspired. If you are a youth pastor or a youth, you both will definetly love this book. Jason is so open in this book and tells things about his life that alot of teenages go through. My sister and her husband are youth pastors at the church that I go to and I'm starting to take over discipleship now and I've already decided that this is the first book that we are going to read. Jason tells about in this book when he was going through his rebellious stage and the terrible mistakes he made and then shows you how he repented and now how his life is and how on fire for God he is. I'm getting ready to buy 5 more of these books right now. All I can say is if you buy this book you won't be sorry.

jason perry's "you are not your own"
Ok i'll admit it right now... guilty as charged... i'm a big plus one fan. At first it was cuz of looks but that's changed alot in the past few months. when i read Jason's book i was amazed... he's so open in the book. he tells things that if it were me i'd be kinda afraid to share with people. Jason isn't amazing because he's cute or he has a good voice or because he wrote a book, Jason is who he is because God made him that way. God has used Jason, and the guys of Plus One in my life through their music. I would definately recommend Jason's book to any teen(or even adult probably). I know this is a "you are not your own" review... but while i'm at it i'd also recommend and of plus one's cd's. The Promise, Obvious, or even their new one that's about to come out... Christmas...

Looking for Information
I am currently looking for a software programme that will allow our company to produce images similar to those shown in the book. These images are for a shipbuilding company. If anyone out there can help and offer a site to have a look at, I would be most grateful.

Amazing 3D images.
Buy it if you want to see the most amazement images in your life. It has minimum text. But consists of 14 very big and high resolutin 3D images. Very colorful. But you have to have much time to learn to see it.

What a book!
I'm the kind of person that reads a lot and has learned to put down books to do other things. I just couldn't do it with this book! I opened the book to start reading it and I couldn't close it until I was finished. Then I went back and read it again.

Plenty Bang for the Bucks
Before reading any book one must consider one's expectations of it. Black steel was, for me, a book I would read during my 30 minute commute to school. I can honestly say that I enjoyed it immensely. The writing is smooth (if simple), The characterization sufficient and the action superb. What more do you need ?

An insightful, inspired continuation of the series
For once, a "book three" as inspired as its predecessors. The Machiavelli Interface (TMI) continues the story from The Man Who Never Missed (TMWNM) and Matadora. Unlike a normal series, which introduces few new themes or devices, TMI gives us plenty of both. TMI is, like all of the books in the Matador series, inspiring and an enormously fun read. If you can find a copy, buy it, whatever the cost.

The Confed is falling down, falling down.
Khadaji and the Matadors are now in direct conflict with the Galactic Confederation. Marcus Wall, the power behind the President of the Confed, is a master of plans within plans and will do whatever it takes to stay in, or at least near the center of power. But Khadaji is also a master, and his goal is to bring down the Wall, and the Confed along with him.

Excellent fantasy - contains magic, fights, sex, everything
This was the first Conan book I ever read. It was years ago, when I didn't know that that ape Schwarzenegger is playing Conan in the films. (YUCKKK!)

Though the book is officially number 30-something in the series, you don't need to read the previous volumes. In fact, the numbers of the books in Conan series don't match the chronological order and all novels are separately readable.

The Conan series plays in a fictional past when the continents had a form different from today, vaguely resembling today's continents. In those pre-ancient countries, technique was somewhere in the medieval level and it was possible to use magic. Conan was a very skilled fighter of extreme strength who's adventures of different kind are described in the series. In this novel, an evil mague rediscovers a long-forgotten way of controlling the dead and is attempting to get the whole world under his power. But he faces unexpected complications when Conan gets accidentally involved in the whole mess.

Conan The Defiant is my favorite Conan book so far. In my opinion, the later books tend to be better than the earlier ones. The first twenty-something volumes have been written quite a long time ago and are just average reading.

A great book in an even better series!!
I first discovered the 97th Step in college, which led to getting the entire series. Since then, I've read the entire series probably two dozen times. These are some of the few books I can pick up and start reading over and over and never get bored with them. The messages in the books (One man CAN make a difference, When you know who you are, you know what to do and who to do it with) are great, as is the entire plotline. I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone interested in sci-fi action with a message.

One man can make a difference.
If you like action and larger than life heroes, then you will love Steve Perry's Matadora Series. It's fast paced and contains plenty of original ideas which he explores ruthlessly.

Don't believe the book covers, the series actually starts with, "The 97th step", and so should you. Then comes "The Man Who Never Missed", "Matadora", "The Machiavelli Interface", "The Albino Knife", "Black Steel", "Brother Death".

The total story line mostly centers around one man and his efforts to overthrow a repressive government, on a galactic scale. Our hero is Emile Khadaji. He starts his life as one of the government's own soldiers but during a battle to put down a rebellion he experiences an epiphany. From that moment on he is no longer a soldier.

Luckily a rather mystic figure called Pen, takes him under wing, trains him in the martial arts of the ninety nine steps and then releases Emile to fulfill his destiny. Along the way he single handedly starts, maintains and ends a guerrilla war against the government and then assembles and trains a team which forces the whole system to its knees.

Perry is definitely a commercial author but I doubt he would apologize for that. The Matadora series is a good example of this. It panders to my every boyish reading desire and I thank Perry for it.

A great, nostalgic piece of sci-fi.
I first read Perry's work for Aliens and his Star Wars book, Shadows of the Empire, and liked them. So, when I saw The Man Who Never Missed at a used bookstore, I picked it up. It turned out to be one of the more entertaining pieces of fiction I've read in awhile. It is concerned solely with the life of a man who would come to single-handedly start a revolution against a corrupt universal government. Along the way, he meets the mysterious Pen, who tutors him in an ancient martial arts form. Then, using his skills, he wages a one-man guerrila war on a backwater planet. Yes, that's it. No sprawling plot. Only a few major characters. This harkens back, in my mind, to some of the great pulp novels of the 50s, but with a believable main character and a dose of martial arts. I've read it twice already, and it's still fun, especially in the face of the multi-thousand page epics which seem so popular among fantasy and sci-fi writers today. This is, incidentally, the first book in a longer se

Pretty Cool...
The book overall was pretty cool, although the author made some of the aliens look like sissys. I saw the predator and alien movies and the predators DEFINATELY lived up to what they were like in the movies.(Yet the predators kind of had egos as big as mountains.)The aliens...basically the predator takes a swing with his spear, the alien goes down. They said in the book that the aliens(except the queen)were stupid. In the movie the alien, in no possible way, was stupid. It also gave you some insites of the predator culture. Overall, I give this book a 4 for -Good plot - Neat Characters - cool insites- awesome battle
descriptions, but I take off for making the aliens look like sissys. Definately worth the money!
P.S. I'm 13 years old, not 12.

It's the definitive AVP story.
I really enjoyed this novel. It contained a great plot, interesting characters, and plenty of action. Even though the book primarily gives the reader insight into Predator society, I'm certain that fans of the Aliens series will also find it to be entertaining. I found the parallels between the two main characters to be particulary fasinating. My advice : Read it on the weekend when you've got free time ahead of you, because you won't be able to put it down until you reach the end.

aliens vs predator: at their best
This is what I can only describe as a classic avp book, predators will fight to the death, fighting for their honour and a big trophy for the mantle-piece. Whereas aliens are quite the opposite, fighting for survival and will destroy anything in their path. In the middle of it all is the colonial marine, killing anything that isn't human and always trying to save their precious estalishment.

The artwork is a realistic interpretation of the original films and makes the story exciting to read - difficult to put down once started! Like most other good graphic novels its not all about 'kill the baddies!!!' because in the end who really is the 'baddie?' In the eyes of each character they could all be bad.

As I don't particuarly enjoy reading these graphic novels are a good way to get me to read. The artwork helps my imagination and keeps my interest where loads of words just wouldn't. If you are interested in science fiction (aliens, predator etc.) then basicaly this book is definitely worth reading. :)

READ THIS BOOK!!!
My dad got me this tape for getting a good report card and I was very satisfied. I originally thought that this would be a boring book but I was wrong. This book has a very good plot.

The 3 most powerful person in the galaxy is Prince Xizor. Darth Vader killed Xizor's familly and now Xizor wants revenge. Using his crime syndicate, Black Sun, he plots to kill Luke, Vader's son.

Anyone who has even a faint interest in Star Wars should read this book. It is one of the best Star Wars books so far. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes sci-fi stories for this is one of the best. I only wish Xizor was in it more.

Xizor rocks!
I love this book for the simple fact its got not one, not two, but three villains. Aside from my fave, Palpatine, it introduces another, Prince Xizor who dares to go up against another fave Lord Vader. Its an action packed book with lots of scheming, dirty dealings and fighting scenes. The glimpses into Vader's thoghts was a real treat and I was glad to see that the ending left you guessing a bit. A great addition to the Star Wars saga. Anthony heald who is my favorite narrator in audiobooks does a fantastic job bringing each character to life; using sound effects i.e mechanical breathing when Vader was speaking was a nice touch and you got to love Xizor's theme which plays throughout this great audio production; one of my top audiobooks in my collection and one which has given me countless hours of listening enjoyment. Highly recommended.

Vader is still around and the action continues!
This book hits the spot for all Star Wars Fans. It tells of the lost story of what happened between episodes V and VI. Vader is still terrorizing the gallexy and Luke has not finished all his training. It is a fast paced, action packed adventure of behind the sceanes in the Star Wars Universe. A must read!
