Creative and Fun
I read this book to my daughter's kindergarten class and they loved it. The pictures are wonderful, but the best part is its imagination. It encourages kids to think in new ways and inspires creative thinking (and hopefully an interest in the arts). I enjoyed it and heartily recommend it.

A Writer's Motivational Device
I witnessed a teacher using If... with third graders. They were so eager to create their own If... segments. Even children who are skeptical of reading and writing were able to enjoy the follow up activity. Sculptor Sarah Perry sure knows how to spark a child's imagination. No elementary classroom should be without If...

Awesome book to expand children's imagination
I read this book and immediately usd it as a story prompt for my first grade class. They first drew their own If.. pictures then wrote about them.

A book that I could not put down!
With each page I read I felt that this could work for me. I have Lupus and I am desperately searching for a way to at least, stop the pain, and to come back to the living. This book has given me hope. I am truly amazed at the things that Dr. Liu has done in his life, but I know that it is not impossible. I do believe in miracles. I wish that I could meet him personally. Thank You Dr. Liu, the book was wonderful!

Very interesting book
This book served as my introduction to Qi Gong. I had never heard of it before but since I have been searching for some pain relief I expanded my reading to healing techniques used by other cultures. I loved the authors description in the first part of the book about becoming a Qi Gong master. After reading the book I became very interested in some of the exercises and have included them in my exercise routine and have read more on the subject of Qi Gong(Ken Cohen's "The Way of Qi Gong" is good). Most of the book is very easy to understand and implement. I have not tried any of the herb "remedies" he writes about because I don't know enough about them yet but feel the exercises are helpful.

Empowering
The Qi Gong moves described in the book Mastering Miracles are easily understood and applicable. One of the best books I have read regarding Chinese Healing. Qi Gong is definitely a powerful healing tool that Master Hong Liu is bringing to the West.

Humans will give up all freedom in the name of safety
It is scary, when fear reigns, as we have it today in the USA after the attack of 9-11. Dannon encounters WW III, stating "fear so great that humans will give up all freedoms in the name of safety!" Should the USA become the "Land of the Safe" and the "Home of the Oppressed"? Who would write a hymn to that? Dannon went to "heaven" after he died and he had many visions into the future. Yes, we are in the earth to co-create with the deity, he is told. This book is extremely fascinating. It confirms carma - the balance - as he experiences his former deeds on earth and its after-shock. The purgatory: we have to suffer everything we did to others - like a ripple-effect. Do I recommend this book? I wish every person wrapped up in their faith, Muslims, Islams, Christians, Jews, Sufis, Buddhists etc. would read it, because no matter what your believe is, this book is true for all of you! Let's shoulder our burden together and avoid a worldwide conflict WWW III - ...

very profound and worth the reading
i was truly amazed by this book, i mean, watching how the main character completely changed his life from being a total killer and looser to be a guy who helps people, to me is amazing. I liked most of all the way he describes what he sees, from when he dies the first time etc. it is truly a book worth the read, and for those who are into things like life after death stuff, this book is a must to have

This book provides convincing facts about Life after death.
The author, who was struck by lightning, died afterward. He was brought back from his death and revealed the world he saw after he died. Spirits he met in the other world disclosed him movie-like images in the future. The book contains messages from "spirits" about the entire human race and our Earth's ecology problems. This book is easy to follow yet embedded with highly sophisticated messages to chew on it. A great book to read!

A very enjoyable introduction to Mozart
It seems the most popular budget classical music label, Naxos, not only makes most of the Western musical output available at very reasonable prices (no top stars who demand absurd fees make this possible), but it has also issued three very nice boxed sets of recordings on cassettes and CDs (I have the latter) that together give you a quick, fairly accurate, and quite enjoyable survey of three major topics. Perry Keenlyside's (NA 314412) is on three tapes or CDs and more or less delivers what the title promises in about 3 hours and 40 minutes. The text is considerately divided into sections--"Mozart, the child prodigy," "January 1762, the first journeys," "Paris and London, 1763-4," and so on--with tracking cues for each section. The narration and quotations from letters and journals of the time are accompanied by the appropriate music drawn from the bottomless Naxos catalogue. Nigel Anthony is the narrator, aided by Paul Rhys (Mozart), Edward de Souza (Leopold Mozart), with David Timson and Anna Patrick in "other parts." I have not seen the original books to see how much of an abridgment this is, if at all, but that is immaterial. The voices are personable, the information digestible, the whole project very worth while, especially at the price. My only objection to the Naxos recordings of books in the low recording level that makes it a bit difficult to hear on a walkman set up on (say) a noisy train. But this should offer no problem to home hearing or even in your car. These sets are really perfect listening for long trips.

Fast moving,facinating,absorbing,comforting.
Reminds us that we are spiritual beings having a relatively brief human experience before returning to our real & eternal home. Reinforces that spirituality is truely present in everyone and transcends all earthly religions. Many wonderful stories throughout the book to support the love and freedom that our beloved deceased have found. Death will kill the body but not the soul. We can grieve the ugliness of earthly disease and death, but we cannot grieve about the love present in the hereafter. EN

this is just great
this was just great. for those of us who couldn't be there for perry lane, the bus trip, or the acid tests, this is a great account of the time. you don't realize how important kesey was to the movement until you read this. on the bus is really a quick bio of kesey. it helps you to understand how kesey took over where kerouac left off. you really feel as if you know kesey and neal after finishing this book. if you are a bohemian, beat, hippie, or any combination, then this is the book to get.

Great Book, Lots of Pictures of the Pranksters
I bought the book after reading Electric Kool-Aide Acid Test for the third time. I really wanted to know more about what Mountain Girl, Cassidy, Gretchin Fetchin, and Babbs looked like, and scenes from the Trip. What a great book. I would recommend it to anyone who is reading, has read, or will be reading the book, Electric Kool-Aide Acid Test. This would be a great companion as your were reading it, and were exposed to the characters in the book.

A must for any who wishes to travel further...
Anyone who is a Kesey fan MUST read this book. It is basically the photo album which correlates with Wolfe's Electric Kool-Ade Acid Test. It gives more insight into the minds of the pranksters and others. I highly recommend this book to any who is interested in the counterculture. The book as well as the trip are truly legendary.

Solid book that changed my beliefs in an afterlife
I was raised Catholic but by my teens had some serious doubts about the afterlife. As most of my friends agreed (they wanted tangible evidence) and the opposition disagreed (they didn't need tangible evidence), it was always a standstill type of argument.

After a few people died in my life though, I felt that the issue wasn't satisfying enough. So, I started to do some research not related to the Catholic Church, as the people I knew had convictions and didn't want to discuss WHAT IF questions.

What was great about this book were several things:

(1) He mentioned he did an NDE on children and retold over a hundred stories; I found it less likely children would be able to make stories up on the spot;

(2) No one has stepped forward to debunk the author so he must have at least got his evidence together correctly; and

(3) The NDEs were, again, over a hundred people, retelling their personal tales. They were from all over the USA with different backgrounds . .. and they had similiar experiences of seeing a light and feeling comforted and getting in touch with loved ones who had passed on.

So, this book has been the first step in helping me believe there is something after death, and I feel a lot better for it. For those who want something more heavy duty, you can also check out John Edward's CROSSING OVER, which airs every weekday in the mid afternoon. No one has really debunked that guy either so there has to be more to life than just death and oblivion.

Transformed by the Light
I just recently read this book and it shed light on what has happened to me in the past 15 years since my out of body experience.

I was transformed and went back to school; got my degree in therapeutic nutrition and have written & published four books. I have had a lot of help from beyond in writing these books, but Dr. Morse's book Transformed by the light has helped me cope with the changes in my life.

Thank you, Dr. Morse

excellent
I love this book too.Dr.Morse is a medical DR who knows that NDEs are real.
