The one weakness it has is a lack of an Arab viewpoint. The editor and most of the writers are Jewish but this is not a book by Zionists for Zionists either so it is not completely lacking in balance either. It is more of a question of perhaps lacking a differing ethnic perspective.
The book is divided into 6 parts, each with 2 chapters. It is well footnoted and has a good bibliography and index. The 1st chapter is the historical background. The 2nd chapter is about peace and Israeli attitudes, the 3rd is about peace and Israeli institutions, the 4th is about the Palestinian Arabs, the 5th is about Jordan and the 6th and last is about economics.
All the authors ( there are 14 ) are experts with impeccable credentials who have done their homework. This collection will not become dated quickly nor do I know of any others like it. I recommend this book to any serious student of the peace process who is not intimidated by the professional language of the social sciences.
