just great
I don't know whom to start with, the writer or the illustator. The book is very funny and to top it the drawings add humor to it. My 8 and a half years old boy laughed and loved it. Because we liked it so, we bought winnie can fly which is just as great.
Ran to buy it or just klick it.

You and your children will love Winnie and Wilbur
I found this book at the library. My 4 and 6 year old love it so much they asked for their own copy to have for always. Winnie's whole house is black and so is her cat Wilbur. This presents a problem when Winnie trips over Wilbur several times. She decides the solution is to magically turn him multi-colored but Wilbur is so unhappy Winnie changes him back and comes up with a much better solution. Any child will love this endearing story. Winnie the Witch is a great read anytime of the year.

Will capture kids imaginations
A wonderful brilliantly illustrated book. It's impact has been so large in the UK, that children now draw their witches with socks the same colour as Winnie's.

Not just for Halloween.

One of our family's favorite picture books
Our younger daughter picked this one above all for one of us to read aloud to her first grade class. The silly verse("There once was a dog who was a bit of a clot, he'd buried his bone and forgotten the spot") and the outrageously detailed Korky Paul illustrations are a delight (somewhat like those of Steven Kellogg, kids find something new every reading). A subterranean search by the persistent pup leads through a labyrinth of obstacles with pesky cats at every turn. Highly recommended.

The dog that dug
Very silly illustrations of the dog that keeps pulling out even more outrageous things from the ground. There are extra details in Korky Paul's illustrations that keep you looking at the pictures over and over again. Of all Korky Paul's books I think this is my favorite.

A Humorous, Touching Story
This is a lovely, delightful little story with gorgeous illustrations. The moral is one to be discussed with your child - that if you were like "everyone else" you would lose what makes you special. A must read for every child!

Great fun to share!
This is a great story to share and read aloud. The rhyme scheme flows easily, and the illustrations are just as silly as the text. The kids in my storyhour have loved it as well as the adults. Boy, that is one foolish fish!

Grab your mouse and buy this wonderful book! Now!
This is a *delightful* book that I wish I'd had when I was a kid. The story is a little jewel--funny and simply perfect as it is. And the *pictures*! Lord, the pictures are wonderful. One could look at them for hours--a child could look at them throughout childhood--and be endlessly delighted by the details, the colors, the pure charm. Even the endpapers of the book, with their pictures of Professor Puffendorf's inventions, are worth looking at for a long while. Can't wait for tomorrow night's bedtime reading!

Two thumbs up!
Funny! Funny! Funny! The characters will keep you and your children laughing. Good story line and a very cute ending. Young or old...it doesn't matter. This is a page turner for the entire family to enjoy.

Fantastic
Fantastic how both illustrator and author can put so much heart and detail into a childrens book. Great story; not one of those nonsensical ones that flood the market today. A delight for both parent and child. So much to see and discover on every page. And during the next read one spots yet another little detail.

It's difficult to take a strangers recommendation, but this book is great (as is Winnie The Witch).

A very stimulating book with superb illustrations.
This story was so good it inspired us to write our own Winnie adventures. The story was fun and made you feel warm and cosy at the end. The illustrations were fantastic - a cartoon witch that was not too scary! Every time we read it we saw something new.

Great for all lovers of poetry or dragons!
I'm an adult but I collect children's books. Why? Because of books like this one. I love any collection of poetry of a theme, and this one is wonderful. I love poems, I love dragons, I love this book! I'm going to get several of them for Christmas gifts for both children and adults. The choice of poems is unbelievable. Who knew there were so many poems about dragons? And the illustrations are so cute, so funny, so amazing. The artist is some magical person who is a gift to our planet!

This book is really good for children who learn the basic English Grammar. It's easy to follow and easy to understand. The illustration is good and interesting, too. I recommend this book for those who wants to learn basic English. I like this book very much, because I learn a lot from this book, too.

Sanji and the Baker
This story is very interesting. It is about a man, named Sanji who travels all around the world. He ends up in Fratsia and decides to stay for a while. He buys a house and lives above a bakery. But he doesnt know what he is getting into........ The story then takes a big twist at the end, that is quite ironic. I enjoyed this book very much. My favorite characters were Sanji, because he was a good honest man, and also the baker because he can be very sneaky and he is also very funny. I think you should take the time to sit down and read this book becuase of the big twist. I think you would enjoy this book, hopefully, just as much as i did.

Sanji and the Baker
"Sanji and the Baker" is a story about a traveler named Sanji who comes to a town and gets a home above a baker's shop. Each day he smelled the smells coming from the shop because they were so delicious. The baker found out about what Sanji was doing and took Sanji to court, wanting Sanji to pay five silver coins for all the smells he smelled. In the end, the baker gets exactly what Sanji had gotten and Sanji gets back to his regular life.
I think this is a very good book. It teaches a good lesson about people who are gready and to discourage others from becoming like that. My favorite character is the judge because he seems to be wise beyond his years. He is able to see the evil in the baker and gives him exactly what he deserves.

We love this book
My wife and I just had our first baby 3 weeks ago. We were given this book as a baby gift. It is a wonderfully written book with charming, detailed illustrations. The ending is clever and surprising and illustrates that some of the best things in life are free. I would also recommend it as a lesson in cultural diversity.
