This is an honest and candid review of change in schools.
Jerry Patterson tells it like it is. He pulls no punches when describing potential pitfalls when attempting to create real systemic change in today's schools and school districts. At first, this honest look at the realities of trying to change schools may seem cynical, but on review Patterson creates realistic scenarios of what leaders need to know before they initiate change strategies. Patterson brings life to the ideas of writers like Gardner, Burns, O'toole, and Deal and points up some great rules of thumb for those who consider themselves "transformational leaders" in schools today.

Best study Bible!
I love this Bible - I make sure this is the Bible our church gets for our graduation gifts for the seniors every year - it's also the Bible I bought my wife. The print is clear, and it's a durable Bible with lots of accurate notes.

A wealth of info, a great buy!
This study Bible is one of the best versions out there. It is very easy to follow and understand. It has outlines and footnotes that allow you to apply each verse to everyday life.

BEST STUDY BIBLE AVAILABLE
I am a Seminary student and have gone through many study bibles. However, this work by W.A. Criswell is by far the best in the business.

This Casino Gambling Book is TOPS
This Casino Gambling Book is TOPS

Back in the late 80's I read Jerry Paterson's best selling book, "BlackJack: A Winner's Hand Book. That Book provided me with an absolute "WOW" factor in playing the multi-deck shoe games. It advanced my knowledge on how to win at Blackjack many levels. Since then I have read every book I can find that Jerry Patterson has written.

After reading his newest Book, Casino Gambling, it's easy to understand why it's also a Best Selling Book on Gambling. This book contains fresh facts on what you need to know about how to play all the major games in today's casinos. The book takes the "mystery" out of Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and other casino games. Jerry addresses all skill levels equally well, amateur to professional, with many thought provoking strategies: Betting, money management, mental preparation, do's & don'ts that are based on proven facts from actual casino play in today's games, from Atlantic City to Las Vegas, including River Boats and Indian Reservation casinos.

I was able to put "Winning Factors" for the multi-deck blackjack game to good use right away after reading the book on my next casino visit.

Craps is covered in depth including all the important betting strategies, the odds payoffs, well structured money management systems and is easy to understand. This book provides a sound strategy, the best I have seen on dice control, for becoming an "advantage" craps player.

Understanding "how to play with an advantage" on Blackjack, Craps and Roulette is very enlightening and I found that the advantage method for each game actually works.

A Top Notch Book On Gambling
In a revision of his 1983 book, Jerry Patterson offers professional and recreational gamblers alike a new perspective on the casino games of, blackjack, craps and roulette. In 21 chapters Casino Gambling dispels myths, crushes age old dogma, and enlightens new age gamblers of the true winning potential of the aformentioned games, as well as providing a no holds bared expose of many of the games offered by the casinos. Casino Gambling provides cutting edge methodology for all gamblers regardless of skill level. It is a technically complete yet easy read which can be understood by the rank amateur yet informative enough to provoke thought from the most experienced of gambling professionals. The methods outlined in it have helped me stay in front of the casinos for years. I feel the chapter on developing a winning attitude alone is well worth the cover price. A copy of this book belongs on the night stand or book shelf of every gambler out there, period. It is my opinion that this guide is destined to be a gambling classic.

Casino Gambling
This book touches on many things that even most of the experienced "average gamblers" are probably unaware of. Even the blackjack player who considers themself as a good player who knows perfect basic strategy will find many other helpful ideas to improve their game, whether they wish to make use of just a few things covered in the book and play near even with the casino or seriously study and practice the tactics and make blackjack a profitable game for them. When I used to play blackjack, I had no idea that the cards were not random and lost much more than I should have at a bad table. After reading the book you should be able to eliminate those "bad" tables and keep any losses you have to a minimum by employing the prooper money management strategies. The craps and roulette chapters cover many useful ideas that most gamblers are unaware of. Whether blackjack, roulette, or craps, making use of the information in the book should seperate the reader from

majority of other gamblers. A must read for any gamblers bookshelf.

One of the few Blackjack Greats who's still around
I've read just about every worthwhile Blackjack book published, and have even met a few of the authors personally (Uston, Patterson, and... "Wong," who apparently penned the 1-star review below). Around 1980, there must have been a hundred people writing Blackjack books, and the only one of them still standing, and more important, still playing in casinos, 20 years later is Patterson. That kind of longevity in the "Blackjack trenches" is unique.

You get the basics on the game, plus an outline of systems and development of Blackjack strategies from the beginning up to current methods. He includes discussions of shuffle tracking, hole card play, various counting systems, concealed computers, and card clumping (all of which Patterson has himself used over the years). The Basic Strategy and basic count are included, as well as some of Patterson's newer techniques refined from his experiences. He also details excellent money management systems and strategies for betting with count and without count. Plus, Patterson summarizes and reviews quite a few books and newsletters and makes recommendations for further reading and study of the game.

My opinion is, whatever books you get on Blackjack, this is the one to start with. This book is a great start on skillful playing.

A must read for all blackjack players
Jerry L. Patterson, with over a quarter century of teaching blackjack, has in one single book provided the most comprenhensive analysis of the game that is currently available. As oppopsed the the majority of blackjack books, which promote mechanical systems, he provides a complete understanding and a thorough analysis of every facet of the game. By following Patterson's teachings any blackjack player will benefit and if after reading the book one cares to further their knowledge there are courses that the author provides.
Jerry Patterson is one very few widely respected experts in the blackjack education business and has an extremely large group of loyal followers, who over the years have prospered from his knowledge and teachings.

Absolute great book for beginner or pro
With all the new casinos being built and an infinite possibility of cyber games, nothing could be better for a bettor than knowledge of the casino game he/she wishes to play. If that person wishes to play blackjack, then this book is a must. If you ask almost any knowledgeable gambler who Jerry Patterson is, they can probably tell you. That is because he is one of, if not the most reputable authorities on casino table games in the industry. He has built his reputation on authoring a series of excellent books that document his incredible and often unique understanding of today's gaming. When it comes to blackjack, this book clearly explains not only card counting, but also shuffle tracking and strategies not even thought of yet by many so called experts. It's a wonderful book and I highly recommend it.
