This was an overall interesting book, however, it lacked many things. For example, it did not capture the reader and this made the reader bored and uninterested. Next, the author could have put less detail, however, this was only a minor mistake. The book was in a way interesting and showed the reader how life was like in those days and how a family had to cope living in a small house with no husband or father. Overall, an average rating, (it wasnt terrible, it was just good/average)
