Anoraknophobia: a masterpiece!
Absolutely brilliant! The story begins when Wallace invents a "Ping Pong O'Matic Automated Home Leisure System", but when the machine goes haywire and destroys the washing machine, Wallace needs to pay a hefty repair bill. And so the man and his dog enter an Invention Convention sponsored by the Acme Corporation- with a first prize of £100. But soon, everything's not all as it seems...

The plot of this book is fabulous, the art is superb and the colours are nice and bright! Of the new characters introduced, the best are Mr. Patel, Wallace's next-door neighbour, an expert on pigeons and prevailing wind conditions, and the hillariously funny Mr. Do-it-all, the Hotel Splendio's doorman, receptionist, porter, bell boy, gardener, barman, room-service operative, and owner: "It's a job share," according to Mr. Do-it-all.

I would recommend this book to anyone- if you've never seen Wallace and Gromit before, you should still read this book- it is absolutely brilliant.

Marillion does the Soundtrack - the next film!?
Yet another classic! Forget CHICKEN RUN, let's see the man and his dog on the HOLLYWOOD silver screen. Better yet, get Marillion to do the soundtrack - their latest album just out is called ANORAKNOPHOBIA! (coincidence? Fate? Act of God?) This book takes the intrepid duo into the realm of Hollywood possiblities with a plot that rivals James Bond and Austin Powers, characters like the enigmatic and intriguing Queenie who is at once frightening and wildly attractive, and the villianous von Struedel who could beat Dr. Evil at ping pong any day! Funny throughout, yet another winner from the folk who brought you W&G: the Lost Slipper and the Curse of the Ramsbottoms. Great bedtime fare!

Wallace and Gromit: Anoraknophobia
Wallace and Gromit: Anoraknophobia is a great book for even a person that isn't interested in the claymation movies. It features the oscar winning character Wallace and his faithful dog pal Gromit. The book is very humorous at times but also puts it's share in with suspense. It takes place when Wallace creates a ping pong -o- matic home leisure system. Wallace tests out the new home leisure system he breaks his irreplaceable drum on account of they are on a budget. Wallace decides to enter in a invention convention to raise money for the new drum there and the wackiness begins! This is a great book that is very well drawn and thought out. If you liked movies such as "The Wrong Trousers" or "A Grand Day Out," you should definatly check this book out.

Shark in the Park

Can't get enough
My 2 1/2 year old daughter first checked this book out at the library. We have since purchased it because she cried every time we had to return it. The illustrations are awesome & she can practically repeat the book word for word at this point. "We" read it several times a day. A cute & funny book.

ACK! There's a shark in the park!!!!
The little boy in this book is looking through his telescope in the park and is sure he keeps seeing a shark. The lense is an actual hole in the pages of the book, and as each page is turned the fin of the shark turns out to be something quite ordinary (ie. a cat, a crow, even the dad's Elvis-style haircut). This brightly illustrated book contains clever rhymes and pleasent repetition so kids can begin to chant along with the reader, and a surprise at the end leaves them giggling every time.

Awesome.
Wallace and Gromit rock! They are the stars of some of the cleverest animation around. Great story to go with the film.

very humorous and witty
diabolically entertaining and cleverly humorous--this is my favorite "Wallace and Gromit". the penguin adds the much needed tension that seperates the mind set of the crafty dog Gromit from his simpleton owner, Wallace. it is an enjoyable narrative for all ages.

Great, but not all inclusive
This is a decent review of Ralph Stover as a climbing area. It covers all the standard climbs with decent information on the area and it's pretty easy to find the routes. However, there are areas not covered in the book (to the East and towards the river).

I'm sorry to see this book is out of print!
I have had this book for about 4 years now, and I can't believe it's out of print! I have a deep interest and love for the wildlife of Madagascar, and have not been able to find many books that show the diverse life of this endangered island. To no longer have this book is a shame - if you are looking for a beautifully photographed book that chronicles Madagascars wildlife, don't give up on trying to find this book - it's a true gem.

Warmth of friends on cold winter days complete with hotchoc.
I bought the book merely just looking at the pictures, they are so beautiful. The story itself, even better: based around a circle of friends of Percy the park keeper on a cold winter night. You can see and feel the warmth of Percy's house that he shares with all his friends. Easy to read and mix with soundeffects that children love and easy to follow for as yound as one year olds. Our book is falling apart from overuse but we just cannot put it down. The book is a part of four seasons on the Park. Same friends later appear in other stories that we love; the other books represent spring, summer and autumn.

my review
I have decided to write a book review. The review is on the Chicken Run. I enjoyed the book it realy was a good book. I compared this book to another book called the pigman. I liked Chiken Run better than the pigman I have rated this book with 4 stars, reasons are the humor in the book. Another reason is the names were orininal, plus great detail.

The one thing that i don't like about the book is the British accents. Mr. and Mrs. Tweedy were a real disapointment

Great
This book, as the movie is sure to be, Was extremely well written. and I could just picture the characters gasping in horror when they found out they were to become pies. This book is eggstremely eggstravagent!

Amusement Park Mania
I have read this book, much to my delight. The historical section reviewing roller coasters is excellent for this 4th to 7th grade reading level book. But do not let you think that it is only for school children. Adults will enjoy this quick read, too.

The pictures are excellent and are well supported by the text. The web links are dated, but not crucial to the understanding of the book.

The only reason why I do not rate this book higher is that in the physics of roller coasters section, there are serious errors in the science (pages 32-34). In particular, inertia, momentum, and energy are used incorrectly. Later in the book when discussing seat position for maximum g's, there is also an error.

Aside from the scientific errors, though, I would recommend this book and am happy that I have my own copy.

So Incredibly Awesome!
This book is so incredibly awesome! It should be rated like 1,000,000 stars! I love all the pictures, especially the ones of the Wild Thing!
