Great Road Trip Resource
This book was very imformative and valuable on a recent road trip to the parks with my kids. I provided a consise resource of information and facts in an easily readable form. A valuable addition to your glove box at the start of your trip, or reading material on the flight to Jackson. Highly recommended.

The only book you'll need to buy
There are many travel guides which will tell you where to eat, where to stay, and how much you can expect to spend. Some contain maps, important phone numbers, and local attractions. This book goes well beyond that. You will come away with a deep appreciation of the area and a better understanding of the wildlife. You will come to understand the differences between a black, brown, and grizzly bear and how to peacefully coexist with them in the park. You will learn how geysers work, what dangers exist, and how to help preserve the park for future generations.

Essential Companion for Yellowstone National Park
I just returned from a visit to Yellowstone and found this book extremely helpful both in planning the trip and as a reference while there. I particularly liked the author's reviews of the accomodations within the park, which I found to be accurate, especially his reviews of the accomodations at the Old Faithful area, Canyon, and Lake Yellowstone.

The book contains excellent, accurate maps and the descriptions of touring the park contain lots of little-known sites that were worth seeing. Also, the book contains great information on hikes within the park.

I looked at several other guides to Yellowstone, this one by far outshines the other ones that I saw.

Enjoy your visit to this wonderful park!

Texas is Big, buy a good camping book.
I live in Texas, and I have so for all of my life, but it is sure is surprising to find out how big Texas exactly is. In this book you get, in detail, a listing of state and national parks and forest for the 4 regions of Texas. Being that Texas is so big, each region tends to have all different types of camp sights compared to some of the other regions. The nice thing about this book is it gives you information about OTHER parts of Texas, perhaps that you haven't visited yet. I love to camp but tend to stick to those areas near me, or that I visited as a child. This book should give you enough information to maybe visiting some new sights.

the book to have for camping in texas
I operate a year round therapeutic camp for teen boys. The camp goes on many trips, from day trips to extended trips. This book by Mickey Little is an invaluable resource in planning the trips for my staff and 30 boys. Lots of maps, descriptions on campsites and group sites, and of course, activities for the kids once we get there. I would'nt plan a trip without Mickey.

Best single book on state park camping in texas
Although it includes many commercial campgrounds also, this book is superb for selecting, contacting, and describing the many state parks in Texas...we have found no better!!

Fenster's work is the ultimate guide to the Orlando area!
Since the choices in the field of Disney-related guides are vast, I was amazed that one should rise so far to the top of the class. The work is informative and wittily written. Fenster's humor will keep you rolling and his completeness smokes the competition. This ought to be the bible for any family or individual planning a Central Florida vacation. A really fabulous resource which directed my family's vacation and will do so again.

Very Informative
I had a great vacation with this book

A marvellous book on Disney World
This is a marvellous compendium of useful facts about the world's largest theme park. I found it highly illuminating - it has profoundly altered the way I percieve Walt Disney World and its manifold attractions. Since I first tried it a few years ago, I've been using this book to guide my various trips to Disney World ever since.

Exceedingly Useful and Well Written Guide for Nudists
This book (and its earlier editions) has been worth its weight in gold for finding clothing optional places in Hawaii, Italy, Key West and even locally here in the Phoenix area. Naked Places led me to what I think is the most gorgeous nude beach anywhere, that being Little Beach on the island of Maui. The photos in the book are very nice, but the descriptions are what really help the reader decide where they want to go. This is my Number One travel guide, as it should be for any man who likes to vacation naked and naturally.

Superb book for guys who just can't stand swimsuits
As far as I am concerned, Naked Places is the best gay travel guide out there. True, this book zooms in precisely on my main travel interests, namely gay nude beaches and resorts. But what really impresses me is how amazingly detailed and well written this book is, and the amount of information is really awesome... TOP NOTCH! I have every edition of this book and Mr. Boyd continues to out-do himself with each updated version. I really appreciate the fact that the author has gone to the effort of explaining in detail the risks involved in going to certain "traditional" nude beaches where it is technically illegal to be naked. You can read the facts and then make an informed decision about what risks you are willing to take. One of the things I most like about this newest version is the fact that all photos are reader submitted. The photos are nice to look at (and they do show EVERYTHING) but do not look like posed model shots. You can really imagine seeing one of these guys at a nude beach! This is a terrific book, and if you've ever thought about going to a nude beach or staying at a gay resort with a "clothing optional" policy, this is your book.

Best One-Stop Guidebook for Northern California
As a busy parent of three children, I am always on the look out for new weekend adventures--this book has it all. It gives great history, detail, local color, places and events...even usable local area maps.

With listings by regions, Kim Weir has a succinct novelists eye for what makes Northern California beat. Makes great reading...I keep this large 1000 page pocket book at my nightstand to read colorful stories about places I might someday visit. Equally compact, I then load the book in my car for ready reference to see what's hot whereever we roam.

Written with the insight of Mark Twain, this is an excellent source for anyone wanting to capture the diversity of Northern California at it's greatest. Lot's of fun. Quite readible. Full of nice pictures.

Well worth the $ for the new 2000 edition. Congrats to Moon Press for another winner. Please keep those updates comming.

The best of many guidebooks to Vancouver
I am a frequent traveler to Vancouver, and over the years have picked up a variety of books to city, and recently found this one in a Seattle bookstore. It is a smallish guide, but contains everything a traveler needs to make the most of a visit. I like to get out and about when on business-related travel, and found that the book has led me to many interesting places I never new existed (I had a great morning sea kayaking up the Indian Arm on the author's reccomendation). I also like reading about those quirky facts about places that are hard to come by, and again, the author knows the city well from the inclusion of many of these facts (Vancouver: Secrets of the City is a book devoted to the subject). The section on restaurants is extremely comprehensive, with all price ranges covered, and I found the author's picks spot on. The book ends with a chapter on nearby Victoria, a helpful addition.

Great book. It works!
Just returned from an extended camping and hiking trip in Washington and Oregon. This book was GREAT. We used it every day to find where to stay and what to expect, and to chose our evening domiciles. We found it to be totally accurate and fun to read too. Nice one. I plan to get the other Stienstra camping guides too now that I know the quality of the info.
