Breathtaking, crystal clear documentation
I have checked this book out at the library looking for 'GOOD' photos of some of the older homes and the resconstructed homes from the 1700's. The photos are absolutely breathtakingly crystal, clear, show wonderful asthetic views, and give a simple and linear time frame of ownership and construction/demolition, reconstruction of many of the homes in the Williamsburg area. This book is worth every penny if you buy it for research and historical purposes. Of all the books on Williamsburg that I have ever read (dozens and dozens), this one is the most excellent!

A Small Step For Mankind
This is a book for "dipping into" for refreshmentrather than "reading through" for enlightenment. Theaphorisms or sophisms are not especially unique and now, I've discovered, the author is willing to send them to you from his SYNPAN website (on a permanent daily subscription basis). Some publishers would not be so generous with reprint rights, so we must assume this one is committed to getting Pappas' universal message "out there." Most of the other books Sparrow Hawk Press has published have considerably more substance than this one does and address matters of meditation and esoteric Christianity, dreamwork and a renewal of ritual in this age which seems intent upon shifting its paradigm from personal to collective wellness, from religiosity to spirituality, from dogma-without to divinity-within. The diligent seeker will pursue a fuller course meal than this appetizer supplies.

Profound. Inspirational.
The inspirational aphorisms of poetry in this collection if pondered, repondered and meditated on touched me on a deeper level. They strip away the Mask that we all wear especially if we are honest with ourselves and focus on the beauty within.

Someone very close to me once pointed out that we all have a God-shaped hole within us that cannot be filled with material things, trapping, wealth, power, destruction. They must be filled with love, spirit, giving thoughts and positive feelings. The answers come from within ourselves, they are universal answers not built on our separation from each other but our oneness with each other.

Spirituality doesn't have to be associated with deprivation (although often it is), poverty, lack of or weakness. Perhaps we need to be brought to our knees by life to awaken and be quiet enough to hear the quiet voice within us, but when we do, when we listen we realize we're all the same inside no matter what we look like (the vessel we are in). We have all experienced the same feelings of elation, joy, depression, sadness and we all are human beings from the same source. When we realize and embrace our challenges and blemishes then we truly glow from within and the world is our oyster filled with love, abundance, prosperity, joy, peace, clarity and the ability to attain whatever we desire and long for. We realize there is enough to go around if we share it with the world or everyone.

Reading this beautiful, thoughtful, profound, loving book "Synpan" and pondering several pages a day made me feel alive, vibrant and glowing. I can't explain the phenomenon except to say that the words were loving and gentle and when I thought about what I read the words above just poured out. Some days I want to keep reading because when I pay attention and concentrate on what's being said. I feel so good I just want to read on, although I probably get more out of it if I read only several pages a day and ponder and meditate on them.

George Pappas is a genius and he definitely brings us a very profound message that we can change things and the world if we all come together. If I feel this way why can't many others? His awareness, shared with us, his truth discovered and so lovingly and openly shared with us has the ability to spark and ignite a giant flame that can hopefully overcome the negative evil forces that ignore the humaness in all of us and seek to divide us. George Pappas, a noble human being, envisions and shares what he has discovered. It is up to us all to take from his writings whatever we find uplifting and purposeful. He has helped me realize we can all play a bigger game and by living with these tenants we can live in a perpetual state of creative energy. The richness I feel and heightened sense of self-awareness make me feel as if I could accomplish anything. Imagine, if many of us all expressed this all at once. That is the critical "Mass Intentionality" of which he speaks, that I believe is incredibly fulfilling. We all long for it. It reminds me of the movie "Lost Horizons". Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much. If you move in the direction of your dreams and trust the process, anything is possible.

Thank you George for your unconditional love, acceptance, and most of all the special connection through which we've had the privilege of sharing our innermost feelings. It definitely has raised my Consciousness to a Higher Level. The feeling is so empowering I know that is how it should be.

Inspirational Enlightenment for the Mind, Body, and Soul
Each page that one reads in this incredible book of inspirational poetic verse has such profound relevance to the experiences we deal with in our daily lives. George Pappas has captured the spirit and wisdom of the ages, and has printed it on the pages of his book, Synpan, which when read, can help provide a source of inspiration for meditation, helping to raise one's level of God-conciousness to greater heights. A very worthwhile and enlightening read!
