Great Book !
No other book gives a more effective treatment of the subject. A thorough explanation of the basics followed by a stepwise approach towards advanced topics. Thanks Kang and Leblebici for coming up with such a great book.

good book
This book introduces CMOS digital IC at a introductory graduate level; good reference for Electrical Engineers in the memory business.

A Leblebici student
I own the book... in fact, I took the class Leblebici wrote the book for! Leblebici is a very good teacher and the book is a must for all EE students studying VLSI design. It teaches concepts well without wordy, hard to understand passages. The useless "paragraphs of eqations" found in other engineering books are replaced with meaningful examples.

allah is cool
this was a great book. i really liked it. it teaches me about islam.

An amazing resource for Muslim parents and children
As an American Muslim, I have always been dismayed at the lack of learning tools that are available to Muslim children growing up in the Western world. Yusuf Islam has helped fill this void with the creation of this book and especially the CD or tapes that can be bought seperately.

My kids love this, and believe it or not, adults will too.

A is for Allah is a Winner
A is for Allah is an excellent and professionally produced resource book for children (ages 10 and up) wanting to learn more about Islam.

A is for Allah uses the well established Alphabet approach to introduce an important Islamic topic for each letter of the Arabic alphabet. Topics covered include: Allah, Bismillah, Jannah, Hajj, 'Ilm and Kalimah.

Although the book stands well on its own, I would also suggest purchasing the accompanying audio cassette or CD.

Highly recommended.

Brief but Good Insight
A great little book with some beautiful pictures. This is an ideal gift for those who have little or no knowledge of the Prophet of Islam.

Simply Wonderful
I found this book to be simple, easy-to-read, and wonderful. Islam has done a great job presenting the main events in the life of Muhammad in an inspiring and engaging manner. I recommend it to anyone interested to learn more about "The Life of Last Prophet."

Life of the last Prophet - Sound and Sight
This book contains the life of the prophet of Islam, Muhammed s.a.w. The book features nicely designed pages featuring photographs, caligraphy of the verses from the Koran. The book guides the reader through the life events of the prophet s.a.w. The music album of the same name features essentially narration of the book. Over all the album is a must must for a muslim and a easier medium for a non muslim learning about Islam.

I liked this book mostly because this was the ideal one to present to my younger friends who found volumous books on the prophets s.a.w too much too digest.

Life ain't all you think it is
This book is not understood by many people, mainly the white race is taking charge of black men in gangs, yeah many of us black men today gang bang today, and what are you all going to do about it? the only thing I can tell y'all is to take this seriously and you know this is a black thing, we are taking charge of our lives cuzz.

My Name Is Reid From Watts,LA
I thought this book would teach much out to young brothers that grow into this gang life and any child into a path of destruction, they need this book -Reid Korach

An eye opening book that informs and inspires.
This book taught me more about the inner workings of gangs than any newspaper article or magazine piece I have ever read. Finally I have begun to grasp what is truly going on in the hearts and minds of gang members. It is a mind opening book and I encourage all people to read it especially educators.

speechless
this is a book about the 1960's in lebanon. it paints the real life there, and the true religious conflicts back then. even though these conflicts are hard and ugly enough, this book has something that'll make you nostalgic, you'd want to read it again, again and again. it is definitely one the best novels written in the arabic language.

Incredible Novel
This is an amazing book with a great heroine that forshadows the conflict in the Middle East. It is also a great insight into Beirut's glory days just before the outbreak of war. Smart, sexy, and suspensful, it is a book that is definitely a must read!

This is one of the best engineering books that you could own
If you are a machinest or a production engineer who keeps asking the question "WHY" then this is the book for you. This book gives you a good engineering back ground into the understanding of machining and the back ground to start building your own CNC machining center. A must have for any production engineer.

An essential aid for the serious production engineer
Due to my job I am forced to read a lot of technical literature. I never got as much technical up-to-date information explained in such an intelligible way. Compared to other books dealing with manufacturing processes (which are mostly written by scientists in a very, very scientific way), in this book you've got the impression that the author virtually tells you the modern fundamentals of manufacturing. This makes this book easily understandable. Nowadays, High Speed Machining is well established in manufacturing. The future will bring High Performance Machining which means that the metal removal rates are significantly higher at high cutting speeds. As far as High Performance Cutting is concerned, this book covers also the theories of the dynamic behaviour of the cutting process. Therefore, chatter is of great importance. The author explains the two present "Chatter Theories" in detail and enables the reader to perform his own calculations on process stability. I strongly recommend this book to all engineers and students of mechanical engineering who want to know the latest scientific results explained in a comprehensible way. This book is a must in the bookcase.

Excellent
One of the best explorations into the mysteries of the divine. A truly excellent read, let down only in one place where the translator was obviously limited by the english language. A heart moving story for all generations.

Pleasing translation of a Sufi classic love story
Pendlebury has taken a classical Persian poem and turned it into a highly readable novel. The poem is based on a story from Islamic folklore, which is itself based on the chapter about Joseph in the Quran. It takes off from the part of the story where the master's wife tries to seduce Joseph and tells "the story behind the story." Zulaikha is the name Islamic folklore gives to the master's wife (known as Potiphar's wife in the Bible). This Sufi classic humanizes her and makes us more sympathetic to her desire. I have used this book semester after semester in my courses on the literature of the Middle East. My students mostly find it delightful, after they get used to the way the Persian poet revels in piling metaphor upon metaphor, hyperbole upon hyperbole. I tell them not to expect realism; we are in the realm of the mythical here, where every maiden is a "moon-faced beauty" and every pair of pursed lips is "tight as a rosebud."

Description needed!
First, an apology for using the review mechanism to ask a question, but ... no description, and no apparent way to email the author directly? Intriguing as the title sounds, it's hard to guess what the book is about! Turkish is clearly highly related to Japanese; besides being a similarly agglutinative language, there are too many compelling parallels to ignore (e.g., { sore-, kore-, ore- } <=> { bura-, sura-, ora- }; { -ka, -mi (please excuse the dot) }. Is this book an attempt to establish a linguistic connection to Turkish? or a way of applying Arabic linguistic methods to an "unrelated" language?
