Are you achieving your personal and financial objectives in life? Most people fail because of errors in the way they think. What's more, these failures cause them to feel bad. Just as pain is a warning that something is wrong in the body, these unnecessary bad feelings are a warning that something is wrong in the way they think.
From an outline of how the human thinking process works, the author identifies the eight common errors in thinking that cause bad decisions and bad feelings. He then describes each type of error, shows why it occurs, and gives specific, practical ways to reduce all of them. By reducing these errors, everyone can do better in life and feel better.
The author also shows how to communicate more effectively, how to think more creatively, how to improve critical thinking skills, and how to improve interpersonal relationships.
Although the book is written for the layman, it is not "feel good," pop psychology. All key points are documented with scientific references.
You CAN learn to think better and feel better.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Carl Pacifico has spent almost forty years studying the mechanism for the human thinking process. He has written ten books and more than fifty articles and papers. Using the principles described in this book, he progressed from the laboratory to become president of the company. Since 1966 he has successfully used this information as a consultant in general management for technical companies.
The Mensa Bulletin review describes the book as "a thoughtful and knowledgeable account of the process of thinking. . . . It would be useful to a college student about to begin almost any career which requires sustained thought. . . ."
