I love astrology and only Syney Omarr and Patrick Walker consistently hit the mark with me. Sydney is right about 70% of the time, within a 48 hour period. I enjoy his insights and help with timing. Thanks Sydney!

I bought this book maybe two months before Sydney Omarr passed. I have always been a fan of Sydney Omarr, and always will be. Most of Sydney's predictions for my sign have been pretty accurate (I would say about 85%!). I normally only buy the Sydney Omarr book that is the yearly book for my sign. However, when I saw this book, I thought that it would be great to add to my collection. Now, when I check my day-to-day horoscope (by Mr. Omarr of course), I also check my horoscope in this book to see if it is going to be one of my "most memorable days" (Mr. Omarr informs you of which days will be your high days, low days, most memorable days, lucky numbers, etc. A very useful and entertaining book if you are into astrology, and of course, a Sydney Omarr fan. Rest in peace Mr. Omarr.

I read this book many years ago, and enjoyed the gossipy sun sign information. The different tastes of the Zodiac are strangely accurate, and the recipes are simple and delicious! You will remember for years the foods your sign enjoys, and learn to please palates with your inside knowlege of their sign.

I think this book was awesome because it has information that other books wouldnt even have and I think he's pretty honest about the things he saids too!

I do not believe in spirituality. I do not believe in psychic powers. I do, however, believe in the Thought Dial. All you have to do is dial up three numbers on the dial, reduce them to one number and consult the corresponding chart to what you are using the Thought Dial for. I usually use it to find lost objects, but you can answer yes/no questions, pick lucky numbers, or answer more complex questions. It is based on the principle that your mind already knows the answer, you just need a key to unlock it. That key is the Thought Dial.

This book has a great section with the likes and dislikes in the relationship with other signs. I reference to this part alot.

There are some days within the daily guide which have been so exact within past issues, but I found the monthly guide to be more accurate. I am hoping this comment I am sending will be herd and answered so that I may receive information as to where I can buy or even get a personalized monthly reading from Sydney Omarr for the year 1999, as they have not been displayed in the book stores at all this fall.

Please note that on page 73 May 1999. May 1st begins on Monday, yet April 30 is on a Friday. The month of May is incorrectly printed but when we turn to page 79 May 31st in on a Wednesday and June 1st is on a Tuesday!!! So much for looking into the future.

First of all let me start off by saying I am a big fan of astrology, I can spend hours in the bookstore reading books. I am a Sag so I like to read about my sign and more. I was going to buy this book but I am not the person who keeps planners and guides for the year unless I really have too, that's just me. If I do I wouldn't keep up with it, I'll read it for the first few days and put it away soon afterwards, but I did buy the 2000 book and I looked through this one and I found similar things about the sun sign but the yearly guide is different, of course. So I would just buy this for the guide it's self not for the information before it; which tells you general stuff about your sun sign in particular and a little bit of info about the other signs. The guide in my opinion is general, it has to be because every person including Sagittarians are different in some way so have an open mind if you think some of the advice this book is giving you is wrong.
In my opinion I always read a few pages of astrology books before I buy because alot of books have similar info about your sun sign and why buy 5 books that have the same stuff in them if you can buy one with information that all 5 books have. Don't get me wrong I brought a lot of books without reading them first and I learned my lesson from just skimming and looking at the cover :-)

Sidney Omar is a good writer and Astrologer. There are many interesting anecdotes and commentaries about Astrology and the on-going debate to it's validity. However, if you are looking for an instructional Astrology book regarding the erection of a natal chart...look somewhere else. I found his methods and directions in this area to be confusing and somewhat incoherant. The sections on planetary aspects and house placement interpretations are definately worth reading and useful to the novice. It's a worthy addition to any Astrology student's library.I really do like you Sidney (in case you're reading this!)
