This was the most helpful book I have ever read on prayer. It was not only informational, but very practical for my spiritual life.

This journal is taking me to a deeper level of relationship with God. This 30-day journal has Bible quotes and lots of prompting with the prayer process. My prayer style before this book was lots and lots of requests. This book is teaching me not just to talk, but to listen, and to commit to Jesus with all my heart. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to go deeper in their faith.

This simple book with it's short stories and great photos catch a bit of the essence of finding God in the outdoors and how to incorporate one's faith in camping fishing and hunting. I love this book!

Grassi has captured the thrill and enjoyment of the outdoors and related it to following the teachings of our saviour. I found myself reliving past experiences in the woods and streams. This book portrays the true sportsman---one that enjoys but also respects the marvelous creation that the Lord has given us. It should make all of us more aware of what a priceless treasure we have.

I have read and reread this book for 4 years. It is the best devotional I have encountered. Lloyd Ogilvie's applications of God's word are alive and usable in everday life. This book contains materials for teaching, memorizing, sharing, and guiding one's daily decisions.

This book is an excellent day by day devotional, written by the Chaplain of the U.S. Senate. It gives heart probing thoughts, for us to use in our Christian lives. May you buy this devotional and cherish God's Word with Dr. Lloyd John Ogilvie's perspective.

Over three decades, I've read dozens of books on this subject and would rank this among the three or four most helpful. In lucid prose, this very practical commentary on the book of Acts addresses issues relevant to the modern church.. Though we come from different denominational backgrounds, I found Dr. Ogilvie right on target in his discussion of Pentecost, prayer, Christian life, tongues and other spiritual gifts. Great!! This book takes all the hard questions, and gives us clear answers that don't leave us wondering 'how does this translate to real life.' The chapter on 'What Can I do with My Moods?' really helped me. Buy 2 copies one for yourself and one to share with a friend!

Let me tell you, the words of healing and renewal found here should not be missed. If you are sending out an S.O.S., whether to your fellow earthbound creatures, or have already looked up with eyes searching and hands reaching out for an answer to your questions, and to your feelings of lost security, look no further.
Just like September 11, 2001 will always be etched in your mind and heart, after reading this book, you will forever be changed. Don't take my word for it!

I had a dear aunt buy this book for me about four years ago. This book has helped me through some rough times. It has been a companion to me, and has ministered to my soul many times during my devotional time. It is uncanny how many times the issues I faced were the same as what the author was writing about. Isn't it amazing how God works.

I would recommend this book to anyone wanting a source of renewal for your devotional time.

If you have viewed God as "The man upstairs" or "The big guy with the stick", reading this book will help you understand the true "heart of God". I have used this book as a daily devotional for a few years. It has been a great minister. I liked this book so much that I am ordering it for some friends.

I read, Lloyd John Ogilvie's book, "Lord of the Impossible", my freshman year of college. What really impressed me about this book was how Ogilivie was able to bring God "alive" today. Moses, Joseph, David, etc. all had difficult tasks at hand, but by allowing God to be in control the impossible became possible. Not only that, but we today, when having a difficult time can put our lives in God's loving hands and He will never fail us.

Ogilvie's treatment of Acts was easy to read and educational. He made a two thousand year old book come alive with its historical context and spiritual importance. This was the first of this series I read, and it prompted me to buy more. The style of the other authors has not measured up with his.
