THE BEST BOOK EVER
I think Slime Time is a cartoon. Its worth1 point and it's a very good book. Two boys win a game show called SLIME TIME His skateboard it got bad over night. The game was on TV. The sisters did not win the game. It's a silly book so if you like a silly book here's the one for you. Getting dunked in chocolate sauce and spread with feathers is for the losing team . Its is a wacky fun filled book.

Best Short Story Of All Time!
I read this book in Elementary School and still remember how good it was! It is written very well and deals with a unique subject, two friends and a "Nickelodeon-type" game show. A toy line called "Dino-Tots" (or something like that) is also featured in this book, with a reoccurring jingle that I'm sure you'll memorize before the end of the book. I wish that this book would go back in print so that I could buy a copy of my own. I also hope that there will be a sequel in the future!

The Car & Locomotive Cyclopedia
A very impressive reference book. Details are abundant with plenty of accompanying text to aquaint even the newest of railroading fans. The quality is sufficient influence to seek out earlier editions.

Simple & Fast Recipies! Perfect For Young Cooks!
I thought this book was very good. I took it out of my public library and tried a few recipies in it and I must say that they weren't bad and were pretty easy and simple to make! It also included recipies for quick and easy fruit drinks, shakes, nibblers and cakes. You don't even have to use an oven, microwave or toaster oven! Each recipie has step-by-step instructions and Care Bear illustrations, which is perfect for any kid to use! Today, many kids love to cook and create things in the kitchen, so this book would be a great start to the early chef! Recommended!

A bit to general, useful for some B&B info
In general we found the prices of the B&B's to high and often unavailable. We stayed at one of the recommendations in Dingle and were quite happy with it.
We found that many of the sites of interest were not interesting and that many of the things ignored or downplayed were much better.
We did not use this book a lot and found Eyewitness Travel Guide to Ireland much better.

Helpful for VERY local concerns
All in all I was disappointed with this book - it was helpful for VERY local concerns, as to where one might find a launderette, but it was, as another reviewer said, skimpy and a bit too fascinated with the "trendy". This book rarely takes you off the beaten path...and in Ireland, off the beaten path is the way to go! I bought 5 books for my Ireland vacation and this one I left behind in the glove compartment of the rental car - maybe the next renter will find it helpful! :-)

Great Guide - Here's where he's coming from:
I think that Rick Steves' really intends this guide for first time travellers who want an excellent overview of Ireland, its culture, and its people. The guide covers the places he recommends you visit - it plans a 20 day itinerary mainly along the perimeter of the island. You should know that, as mentioned by a previous reviewer, it skips places, such as Donnegal and much of the center of the country. However, as a first time traveller who is travelling with someone who also has never been there before, I'm looking for well thought out recommendations by someone who's been there many times. Rick's book has an intimate feeling about it.. like a friend who's been there and wants to share his joys of Ireland with you... what to see, what to skip, etc. I've bought seven (yes, seven!) guides of Ireland and yes, some of them have a broader scope and the simple number of places mentioned is greater. But I found them rather unhelpful when it came to where I should go on my actual 12 day first visit. I can't possibly hit all those sites, but how do I know what to see and what not to see? That's where Rick Steves' guide comes in. He narrows it down FOR you. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't lock you into his itinerary.. he just tells you what he would do along with other sites that you may want to visit. Also, his list of places to stay rivals the number and quality of the other bigger guidebooks. Many of his recommendations also offer discounts if you show them his book. Because his recommendations seem so heartfelt (and not so anonymous as in the other guides, such as Lonely Planet, Frommer's, and Eyewitness), I trust what he's telling me. He gives detailed information about how to get where you want to go, the hours, the prices, etc. Also, because the book is small in comparison, I won't weigh down my bag (a concern because I'm taking his advice about packing light). You should know, however, that he doens't have pictures in this book (it helps to keep the weight down). If you want a guide filled with pictures, you should get the Eyewitness Guide.. but keep in mind that it doesn't always give detailed advice on how to get to the places.
