Great book, Simple but Effective
I usually don't read books twice, but this one I decided was well worth a more thorough second read.

Simply put, Nowinski's 6 questions are simple and yet fundamentally powerful questions that sets a framework for you to put your life onto it's proper path.

Equally effective are the 6 conflicting questions, which places Nowinski's original 6 questions in the right perspective.

His use of case studies are wonderfully informative and really drives home his point. You can tell each page is meticulously worded, and Nowinski's choice of words are right on.

Nowinski answers the question "Is that all there is?" and "So now what?" and does so by asking that we look inwards to who we are? why are you here? where do you belong? who do you love? who loves you? and how can you be true to yourself?

Questions that make you think, and as you create your answers, you re-create your life the way it was meant to be lived for you and by you.

He's right, these 6 questions can change your life.

A Book To Keep
Six Questions is a MUST READ for every one who wants to live a happy life. Dr. Nowinski's approach in finding one's life vision is very practical and effective.

The 6 questions are simple but most revealing if we care to take the time to answer them properly. The real life stories in the book clearly demonstrate how the process have helped some people in finding their truest life.

The 6 questions have certainly challenged me to revisit many of my current thinking. I would highly recommend the book to people searching for a meaningful life. It is also a book that we should revisit when things are not happening the way we expect them to be.

It is truely a book to have and to hold.

Theory of Quantum Change
I initially bought the book because I had to find out what the six questions were. I would like to comment that I found the book to be a beautiful reinforcement for strengthening the resolve of anyone who is already on the path toward a vision.
This book helps you discover the common thread on which to gather the beads that result in quantum change.

The Tender Heart: Conquering Your Insecurity
Published in Digital by Fireside Books ()
Author: Joseph Nowinski
Amazon base price: $9.99
Average review score:

Nice Idea
If only people were this concrete and would quit bothering others with their annoying complexities. In addition to the thoughts expressed in the other reviews I was confused by the author's idea that it is best to "get out" of a relationship with some one who is insecure (because they won't change) in a book that is supposed to help people who are insecure.

No Substance
The subject matter of this book is one which deserves serious exploration. In fact, the subtitle "Conquering Your Insecurity" was a big enticement (if only...). Unfortunately, this book explores and recommends very little. Once the premise is set forth, that tenderheartedness or toughheartedness is a congenital predisposition, and how it comes about, and how it manifests itself in daily life, (career, relationship, etc.) the book goes no further - just keeps repeating and attempting to substantiate that premise. The "case studies" used to demonstrate these ideas are WAY too long and utterly lack substance. It's like when someone says "to make a long story short..." you know you're in for a long, drawn out nothing. If you're looking for concrete self-help, thought provoking substance and engaging reading, this ain't it. See Marcy Calhoun's "Are You Really Too Sensitive?" It's substantive, meaningful and useful on this subject. Best wishes to all who are searching.

Interesting overview but not much application
The author explains and reexplains *where* how a person may develop tender-heartedness but does little to fulfill the promise of conquering insecurity. The first few chapers were a good overview, but there was not much practical advice for how to deal with emotional predators in, say, the workplace. I'm eager to check out some of the books other users here have suggested instead...
