They'll beg for your next "Family Night"!"
We had tried family devotionals before and our children's attention span barely made it through reading a few verses. We never had time to discuss and apply it to their level of understanding until we came across this series by Heritage Builders. Fun activities are interspersed that all relate to the message and have our kids requesting family nights time and time again. Instructions are given to help you adjust for various age levels. We started these when our kids were about 4 and 7 and usually set aside one night per month. Of course it would be even better to do weekly! Currently we are into the "Holiday" volume which is great too!

Practical tool to teach Christian values
This book has made it fun for all of us to do "family nights" (devotions). In fact, the kids are always asking when we're doing it again! They look forward to it, and their enthusiasm makes our job - raising them with sound Biblical principles - that much easier. With this book at your disposal, you'll never have to struggle with family devotions again!

Family devotions that we all look forward to!
Our three kids, 6,8,and 10, just love the fun activities from this book. Their teachers tell us to keep doing whatever it is because they go to school and tell everyone about it. My husband and I like the fact that we don't have to think up the great ideas, we just have to do them and have fun too.

Family Night Tool Chest Book
Excellent book for teaching/ learning basic Christian concepts. We have four kids and like yours, they are an energetic crew. This book gave us really cool, really clever ideas on how to teach what otherwise would be boring 'Lessons from Dad and Mom'. We've really had a ball. Family fun without videos or, dare we say it, TV. Definitely rated 'G' for Grrrreat. I'd recommend this easy to read book to anyone who is interested in making certain their kids have the basic knowledge/ experience necessary to build a life centered on the God of the Bible. My compliments to the authors... Thank you for making a difference.

great book for parents that want great times with the kids
This book is so easy to use you wonder why you didn't get one of this series before. With only a few props and minimum preparation before you can have a great family night. Your children will really have fun and because of that they will remember what they have learned. Every family should have some time each week to reconnect with each other. This books shows you how to share some great concepts of the christian faith and good character while you do this. It is fun for both parents and children. Even if you know nothing about theology or teacher training you will be able to carry out these fun events with your family. Don't put off family nights anymore. Get this book or one of the others in the series and get started.

Hang on and get ready to be challenged.
When I was given this book, I was told to "hang-on" when I read it. They were right -- WOW! Talk about cutting to the chase and laying things on the table -- it was terrific. When I try to explain to friends my love for my home church, White's Ferry Road, one of the things I tell them is that our leaders/instructors/ministers really do a fabulous job of bringing the scriptures to life. The stories, explanations, and references that they use are so timely, so understandable, so applicable to everyday life -- that I find myself wanting more. That's how this book was for me -- Mike Nappa did an outstanding job of "talking" to me in the book -- not preaching at me -- but holding a genuine conversation with a heartfelt concern for my spiritual well-being. I was so impressed...This is one that you'll want to talk about with your spouse, your friends, etc. and ultimately bless someone else's life by sharing it with them.

Moving and Funny
A wonderfully moving book with illustrations to make the points come alive! Nappa moves the reader to take some chances in their spiritual journey even if it means failure, because being a Christian means being courageous. Nappa uses personal stories and typical preacher stories to bring the message home. You will not want to put the book down.

Paul's Little Grocery List
Delightful collection of stories, lists, and quotations to illustrate what the Apostle Paul calls the "fruit of the Spirit." I picked up "A Heart Like His" intending to read a page each morning, but found myself thumbing through for another bite or two. My favorite section was the one on Goodness, especially the statement, "Goodness knows it's easier to break a child than to mend one. So Goodness handles with care."

Sure Fire Pre-School Favorite!
My pre-school sunday school class absolutely loves this book and NEVER tires of hearing the story. The pictures are colorful and fun, with plenty of action to engage even a shy child. The story is the familiar story of the shepherd who faithfully searches for a lost sheep. The kids love to fold out the book and point to different things described in the text.

Great for parents, kids, and friends!
"Lunch Box Promises" is a booklet containing over 75 tear-out notes with promises from God's Word. I was very happy to receive this booklet after winning Clubhouse's Superhero Contest in which I was one of the runner's up. Plus have it autographed by the authors, Tony Nappa and his father, Mike Nappa. Thanks lots Clubhouse and Tony and Mike Nappa!

Each note is bright, colorful, and blasting with brightness! On the front is written a Bible verse and on the back is written about what that Bible verse means to you. Here's an example from the very first note from this booklet:

GOD'S PROMISE: "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid... for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."
-Deuteronomy 31:6- (NKJV)
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?: God is the most powerful force in the universe and he promises to help you face any trouble in life - always!

Terrific for parents putting these notes in their kids lunchboxes, for kids giving to their friends, for putting in each other's lockers, and any other ingenious way you can think of! Not only that, it's the perfect way of reminding yourself and others about God's promises to us and also very encouraging in our faith.

Overhyped and overpriced book - should have been a pamphlet
Do the earlier reviewers KNOW this author? I can't understand the rave reviews! Although this allegorical story is good, it's not EXCELLENT and it's not as great as its "press."

I have finished a borrowed hardback copy of the book and was incredibly disappointed with the fact that this was put in an expensive hardback book form when it should probably have been packaged as a pamphlet. It's 125 pages, yes, but with incredibly oversized top, bottom and left margins. The content is not worth the hardback price, in my opinion. THANK GOODNESS I didn't purchase it myself!

Easy To Read Winner
Who Moved My Church is an easy read. (I read it over a Saturday morning breakfast.) The book's overstated characters are amusing because we find parts of ourselves in them. Nappa uses this overstatement to make his point that we let our own agendas for what the church should be over-ride the mission Jesus has for the church -- to be a place where grace is found and shared.

Who Moved My Church
A quick read and a good book and gets right to the point on the subject of problems in America and elsewhere. I cannot recommend it enough.
Read it many times and never forget it.

I find myself looking to do more fun things with my kids.
I have always considered myself a fairly "fun" dad. Upon reading Legacy of joy the Lord has opened my eyes to so many other ways to enjoy my children, just by being happier in my responses to them. My wife and I have both noticed more laughter around the house and less television just by changing my attitude to one of joy and laughter instead of the rule maker of the house. God bless Mike and Norm.

IF you are a Dad,..... Get this book now!
In all seriousness, I can not think of one reason for a father not to fork out the $11.00 for this book!

If the writings of Mike and Norm stir only one thought it will be "Dads,... think about who you are, how you are blessed by your children and for Pete's sake,... do your best to bless them in return." What's more,.. is the book gives example after example of "Pro Dads". Dads that have done parenting well, men who are easy to admire and you can not help but want to emulate their wisdom in parenting! What a drink of cool water! In this time of ,... uh,.... less than emulatable (is that a word?)leadership in our country. (how's that for political correctness?)
