By accident I picked up "Letters to John Middleton Murray from Katherine Mansfield." It's a book to cherish. I absolutely adore the letters. Today, while sitting on my balcony, birds singing, it was as though I've gone back in time to the early 1900s to an uncomplicated time. These letters are like mini short stories--each one is different and there's tidbits of information of how life was nearly 100 years ago. Highly recommend this book. Here's a quote from a letter dated January, 1917: "I have just come in and smoked a cigarette, staring out through these dirty windows on to the dirtier windows across the way."

I'm looking for information about Beatrice Hastings in relationship with Amedeo Clemente Modigliani (Longhorn, Tuscany, Italy 1884 - Paris, France 1920). I found a book in Amazon Library: "Lives and Letters A. R. Orage, Beatrice Hastings, Katherine Mansfield, John Middleton Murry, S. S. Koteliansky, 1906-1957." by John Carswell. But this book is out of print. How can I read this book ? Escuse my terrible english language. Please help me.
