Loved this book!
What an amazing woman! I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Jeanne Foster, and it brought back many memories of my early years in the "north country" before I retired and moved to Florida. The authors winter here in Venice, and they have given many interesting talks in the area about Foster and her famous friends, displaying diaries, actual letters to Foster from people like Ford Madox Ford and Ezra Pound, and drawings of her by William Butler Yeats's father. Recommended for lovers of biography and great stories.

Dear Yeats, Dear Pound, Dear Ford : Jeanne Robert Foster and
This book is a great story of a truly "American" woman who was a friend to the world or at least to the world of artists, writers, and politicians. The biography has everything to keep a reader reading: beauty, poetry, intrigue, sex, passion mysticism, and sweetness. I wish I could have known this person called Jeanne Robert Foster.

The Peregrine Falcon by Robert Murphy
Excellent story that describes the power, grace, independence and beauty of this awesome bird and simultaneously shows the perils all migratory birds face in this harsh world.

Beautifully Written Story about the Life of a Falcon
I read this novel when I was twelve and recall being swept away by the story and its fine prose style. This book made a real impression on me then, and I recommend it wholeheartedly to young adults, and to adults who love animal fiction of the kind written by Ernest Thompson Seton or Daniel Pratt Mannix. One of these days I will get the book from the public library and re-read it.

The Boys Would Like a Word
This is a brilliant synthesis of all that is good in British Crime Cinema. The essays are clear and well-focussed, and the referencing is excellent. Particularly well-written and pertinent to the present popularity of such films as Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is Claire Monk's essay on Crime and British cinema in the 1990s. The referencing to both earlier crime cinema and the wider genre of hip, cool trendy cinema directed at the 18-25 year old male with its additional sound track identity is worth reading for anyone concentrating on film studies. Both a good read and an excellent reference work.

Calling all birdwatchers and naturalists...
Novel of a time gone past, your grandfather's youth. No thanks to the Congressional liberals of the last 40 years, this time can never occur again. A young man's climb from innocence to seriousness about his career, including unsurpassed descriptions of bird watching and mounting. A naturalists delight, and now unfortunately stricken from "modern shelves" and replaced by one parent travails, homosexuality, political correctness, and other sickening liberal garbage.

This book is a must for Murphy fans!!!
This book is a fantastic description on how a half hour sit-com is produced. It is wonderful with its behind-the-scenes looks and character/actor bios. Though it may be a little out of date (it was published during the second season), this is the only Murphy book around and it is well worth its money.

An excellent book for a resident
I just graduated from medical school and trying to become an Ophthalmologist. Since I am not an English speaking person, it is difficult to get informations in English. However, each sections and chapters of this book is well organized and helps me to get accustomed to the medical terms in Ophthalmology. This book is easier to understand than the text books written in Japanese (I am a Japanese).
