Great fun!
Warren Murphy has created a fantastic tribute to the Destroyer series in "The Assassin's Handbook." Witty, engrossing and engaging, Chiun's character comes to life between the pages. I couldn't put it down. It's a must-have for everyone, not just Destroyer fans.

A "MUST" Have for Destroyer Fans !
Anyone that's read any of this series will want one of these books ! Also, be advised that Warren Murphy now has 2 websites where you can order Destroyer merchandise...(Now if the rumours of a new Destroyer movie are true !) I've been an avid fan since the series originated back in the 70's and now my teen-aged son is a fan as well.

A scarce treasure
The companion Guide to the Thirty Year paperback series, "The Destroyer" by Warren Murphy and Richard Sapir. A must for any devoted fan of this series, or even for those who appreciate the wit and humor of the series.

More rare yet, is the remaining author, Warren Murphy's approachability and availability. Few authors are so readily available to the public, and this alone is worth discovering Mr. Murphy's other writings.

Mr. Murphy remains one of the few, now dwindling, list of writers from the old school. Educated, self-made, plain speaking writers of thought and creativity. One of the remaining few who make the "new breed" of "formula" writers seem effete, cliched, and redundant.

A Great Book!!
I would recomend this book for all readers. This book teaches you about Ben Franklin and how he invented magic squares. It also tell you about some of the other things that Ben Franklin invented. Some things are stoves, a special rocking chair, the first library, and much more. Then it explains how Ben Franklin became a clerk of the Pennsylvania Colonial assembly. For many days Ben listened to the other members argus. Then one day Bean started doodling. Ben doodled people, new inventions, and his pet squirrel. The other members were still arguing so Ben decided to do a math puzzle. The math puzzle had turned into magic squares. This is how we have magic squares today.

Great Book!!
I came to find that this book can make history fun to learn about and that young kids should read this great book about Ben Franklin. Ben Franklin was always busy. He was a writer, a scientist, an a inventer. in this book you will learn some of Ben Frankiln's inventions. The main idea of this book is to tell you how Ben came up with magic squares. How do you think he came up with magic squares. Find out what some of Ben Franklin's inventions and how and why he came up magic squares when you read this great book Ben Franklin and the Magic Squares!!

Series in Good Hands
This series has always been as much about political commentary as it has Remo and Chuin's extraordinary powers. I am glad this author has decided to bring back the satirical aspect of the series. After 115 books, it's difficult to image these stories remaining so entertaining just by sticking to the superhero storyline. This episode had a particularly funny encounter between Smith (the hero's boss) and the Womanizer In Chief. I recommend this book to anyone who has previously read this series, but has drifted away. It is also good for those of you who say the movie in the 80's and wondered who that guy was supposed to be.

PRAISE BE UNTO YOU CHUIN
ONCE AGIAN MASTER CHUIN,MASTER REMO YOU HAVE CAPTIVATED AND TRANPORTED ME TO YOUR WORLD OF HUMOR AND HONESTY THAT I FEEL BOTH ENTHRALLED AND DELIGHTED IN TELLING YOU THAT YOUR PERFORMANCE IN THIS WORK JUST "MAKES MY DAY".

excellent reading from start to finish......
I have been reading this selection since early 70's. A change in creators has changed the contents of the books every little, still a excellent adventure in reading.....

THE LAST RIDE OF RONALD REAGAN.
Destroyer#120 "The Last Monarch" belongs with the all-time best of the long-running adventure/satire series. Author James Mullaney combines broad and subtle satiric inspirations with an almost "Tom Clancy-esque" action plot to create a story that flows with a fast pace from start to finish. Added to this is a fond homage to a multi-faceted and for the most part maligned and misunderstood former President Of The United States. The sad truth about former President Reagan`s condition makes this storyline almost poignant in it`s portrayal of the man given a temporary reprieve from the ravages of Alzheimer`s and then allowed to shine heroically one last time. Author Mullaney is to be commended for a risky and daring bit of plotting, for this does of course, fly in the face of the common trend towards defaming Reagan`s character. But when seen in the light of the current Administration`s record and reputation;perhaps a reassessment of Reagan is truly in order. This would not be the first time that The Destroyer Series reflected more truth than so-called "non-fictional" sources. For long-time fans of the series this entry will be more than satisfying with the wit and vivid characterisations of the heroes and villains--another element the series is famous for. New readers will get a good intro and feel for the series` style and history.I`ve been reading "The Destroyer" for 25 years...so I ought to know.

God Bless The Destroyer
Another good book in this enjoyable series. Every time I finish a book, it reminds me why I am such a fan of "The Destroyer" series. (Great summer book)

If you read only one book this month, this should be it
The 120th book in this great long-running series is as entertaining as any of the other 119. Jim Mullaney has penned an exceptional adventure. Remo and Chiun are not matched against a super powerful villain or an ancient god or even a science-fictional android, just a good old-fashioned real world type crisis. In fact, there are two problems for our Destroyer duo to deal with; 1. a former president who suddenly remembers everything about CURE and gets kidnapped, and 2, a middle east madman with an incredibly powerful bomb stolen from a supposedly high security US installation. There is also a Sinanju legend thrown in and some answers to questions about the Destroyer that should have been answered years ago. If you are a returning fan or a new one, I think you will like this book.

A book that really know the Asians
The book is a really easy reading and the best thing is about its understanding of Asians. The 360 degree branding concept is especially good at simulating readers to think about the unlimited possibilities of what a brand can do. Being an Asian, I am tired of reading books from Westeners who actually don't recognize the characteristics of people living here. This book, on the contrary, impresses me by discussing some interesting differences of Asians against Western people in the first chapter. The observations are deep and valid. And I truly believe that this understanding is crucial to every one working in the Asian branding industry.

A great read for anyone even vaguely interested in branding
I really enjoyed the book, and thought that it was a very easy to read, easy to understand book about branding in Asia. It's examples are entertaining and sometimes surprising, and what has been achieved in the Asian market is a good example of the future of world-wide branding. If anyone is even vaguely interested in branding, and not just in Asia, I recommend you read this book.

Loved this book!
What an amazing woman! I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Jeanne Foster, and it brought back many memories of my early years in the "north country" before I retired and moved to Florida. The authors winter here in Venice, and they have given many interesting talks in the area about Foster and her famous friends, displaying diaries, actual letters to Foster from people like Ford Madox Ford and Ezra Pound, and drawings of her by William Butler Yeats's father. Recommended for lovers of biography and great stories.

Dear Yeats, Dear Pound, Dear Ford : Jeanne Robert Foster and
This book is a great story of a truly "American" woman who was a friend to the world or at least to the world of artists, writers, and politicians. The biography has everything to keep a reader reading: beauty, poetry, intrigue, sex, passion mysticism, and sweetness. I wish I could have known this person called Jeanne Robert Foster.

Inside Sinanju

A must-have for all true fans!
A revised and updated "Assassin's Handbook", Inside Sinanju is a treasure trove of info. Sure a chunk of it is simply reprints from the earlier books, but the original story "The Day Remo Died" predates all the rest! Plus there's the Sapir/Murphy interview, Chiun's comments, fan mail and more.

A MUST read for followers of the Glorious House of Sinanju!
This is a interesting perspective of the characters from the Destroyer novels, Chiun and Remo. There really is no adventure story but rather a fitting of short notes, and past histories. The perspective is taken mainly from Chiun's grace letting us know the truth about the history of the Glorious House of Sinanju and how, occassionally the two scribes, Warren Murphy and Richard Sapir, tell it correctly. I have found the book as interesting and captivating as any of the adventure tales.

All is well in the Glorious House of Sinanju
I have to say while I haven't been thrilled with the Destroyer series lately, it is still a must read. I am esctatic that GE can get these books out on time. I like the story in this latest installment and I like the fact that it is going to arc into a miniseries. Remo's adventures have always been part political satire part history lesson rolled into an adventure story. This book goes back to what made this series so enthralling to begin with.

Excellent writing bringing new dimension to the series
This book brings back the Remo Williams series to its original flavor while adding new dimension to the Smith Character. A must read for Destroyer fans. The series is back!!

Heresy, this is a BETTER Destroyer.
The writing is tight, the plot develops and like the very best of the series, I simply cannot stop reading. Remo is himself he is no longer a marionette "karate dancing" for hack writers. Chiun is the reigning master bringing awe not, "aw no". I still have issue No.1 purchased many years ago. I have read all of the Destroyer series and I know that the series now has a chance to surpass it's own roots. There have been continuing themes before but never as tightly scripted and well plotted. The new author is not only extremely well versed in the sun source but he is expanding the legend. It may be heresy But this could be the best yet.
