a great sleepytime book
This is one of those wonderful books that you can read to your child at bedtime when they just want to hear the sound of your voice. there is nothing too exciting going on, you can just have your child close their eyes, you can stroke their hair, and read this sweet story. OR, during the day, you can animate all of the animals' voices and have the child touch the great tactile pages. It is a great book!

An attention getter
My 16 month old grandson loves this book. Easy reading and the pictures of the animals are lovely illustrated. I have purchased another one for a baby shower gift.

Exquisite
This book is fantastic. The illustrations are beyond beautiful, and the story is so cute.

This book tells the story of a little polar bear cub searching for his mother. He gets all of his animal friends, including a fox, rabbit, owl, duck, and more to help him build a mother out of snow. Soon all of his friends have to go home and he is alone, but in the end his mother finds him and he's happy again.

This is an adorable book, and a must read, even if it's only for the illustrations.

Zany drawings and a rollicking story line
A tiny insect craws into a classroom and soon the whole class is scratching. It's hard to imagine how a picturebook on head lice can be whimsical and fun, but even parents who have suffered through an outbreak will find the zany drawings and rollicking story line to be fun.

Uh-Oh, Itchy Head.....
"One day a tiny insect, no bigger than a freckle, crawled into Ms. Calypso's classroom. Nobody noticed..." She took a look around, saw Ms Calypso's "cascading curls," dove through the air, and landed, making a nice little home for herself and her tiny eggs. Pretty soon Ms Calypso began to scritch scratch, and soon her entire class was scritching and scratching as the head-lice scampered from head to head to head. Mr Trout, the principal, sent a note home: "Please comb special conditioner through your children's hair and make it so slippery that all the head lice slide into the bath water and float away." The treatment worked perfectly. "There was not a single louse in sight. They were all gone. Well, all except one!" Poor Ms Calypso lived alone, and had no one to help her condition and comb, and soon, the whole class was scritching and scratching all over again. This time Mr Trout sent the note home, and then volunteered to help Ms Calypso with her hair. They fell in love and got married, and there hasn't been a scritch or a scratch ever since...well at least not in Mrs Trout's room..... It's hard to believe that anyone could author an appealing story about head-lice infestation, but Miriam Moss and illustrator, Delphine Durand seem to have accomplished the impossible. Ms Moss' engaging and entertaining text takes the mystery and stigma out of the head-lice issue, as she shows that anyone can be a victim. Ms Durand's bold, bright, and busy cartoon-like illustrations enhance the story, and are filled will expression, vibrant color, playful humor and eye-catching detail. Perfect for youngsters 4-8, Scritch Scratch is a clever, funny romp that takes a lousy topic and makes light of it with fact instead of fiction.

An amamzing tale of the African Baobab tree
This book is an amazing story of an African Baobab tree through the seasons. My kids love it and we often read it several times at one sitting. The illustrations are rich and colorful, all the plains animals are represented. It's a lovely book which links nature, human and animal life in a realistic and engaging fashion.

shuper dooooper
This book really is very sweet. We all went through this wobbly tooth thing as kids and ol' Mockler's illustrations are superb. She won't mind me calling her that - we both trained as teachers together and she is a true star. A wonder girl she is!!. Keep it up and good luck with all the work, kid.

Great book -- cute illustrations
We bought this book through my son's Scholastic book club and it has quickly become a favorite. Even moms and dads can relate to Smudge as her morning goes horribly wrong (stubbed toe, buttons askew)! It's also a great book to illustrate to kids that everyone has a bad day that can get better and that everything will be OK.

could've been better
This book was definetly designed for a child, which, primarily, is not a good RPG target audience. It is out of date, and did NOT cover all aspects of every RPG. It mostly dealt with D&D, and did not go into great detail in that area. The only good aspect of this book was the fact that it had a halfway descent coverage of some of the history of RPGs, unfortunatly focusing on D&D and putting every other RPG in the dark. And the thirteen dollar price tag is not what I'd like to pay for a book that wouldn't serve as a paperweight, and of which half of it is poorly taken pictures. Obviously not my favorite book
